Our journey continued with delicious Mexican cuisine at Pepitos and a memorable visit to the famous McGuire's Irish Pub, renowned for its green beer and having over 19,000 reviews on Google! We also savored the finest seafood at Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House - a must-visit spot for seafood lovers.
But our trip wasn't just about food! We explored the pristine white sand beaches at Henderson State Park and took a refreshing dip in the clear spring waters at Ponce de Leon Springs State Park.

Funny story… I walked up to my table tonight and before I could speak they said “ hey! We know you from UA-cam” I smiled and told them I was sorry but I’m not on UA-cam. They were convinced it was me so it got me wondering if I had tripped or done something silly and someone caught in on camera. When they said “ their daughter hugged you” I knew who they were talking about. I just had no clue I had made it in the video. Please tell your daughter she made a huge difference without even knowing. I was having a rough night and her hug made it so much difference. Next time you guys are in town ice cream sundays for the kids and some char grill for mom and dad are on me. ❤️

Fun fact, the 2nd Jaws movie, Jaws 2, was filmed at Destin, Okaloosa Island, and primarily Navarre Beach in 1977! I remember seeing the gigantic robotic shark sitting on a trailer at a Navarre Beach!

Awww! Kong's such a sweetie! Btw, when you encourage your kid to have an adventurous palate it can be hella expensive and they can hog all of the good stuff. But it's soooo worth it! I know from experience. Fed my infant son pho, saag paneer & dim sum & now at 30 he counts a dozen international foods as his faves. PLUS he's a great cook. His tonkatsu could rival any Japanese chef's.

Tonight's video part at Acme reminded me of a trip with my daughter when she was 7 or 8. I asked her to try the snails 🐌 lol to which I received a lukewarm response. The Snails were sautéed in butter, garlic & white wine then baked with cheese over the top. When Snails 🐌 arrived she tried the Snails and to my surprise & delight she loved them lol. I had to fight to get a few for myself. It was good to see you & the family having a wonderful trip as usual. Take care & be well David. Looking forward to your next vlog .

The last time I went to Destin was when my daughter graduated high school seventeen years ago. My youngest son was 2. I remember Fuddruckers, China Palace Buffet, and the Seafood Shack but these places I do not think were there.. My wife has been there many times since then as her sister owned a Condo on the beach in Destin. She sold it about 3 years ago. A few things stood out for me, one being that green beer that tasted like Bud light. Another when you were filming some of the food scanning the plates and you got to the french fries I started laughing because I went Ooohhh French fries, then all I thought about was "I hope it is heinz hetchup" lol. The tip made me think about Mother's Day when I took my wife to eat at "The Shack" as it is her favorite place in my home town. I could tell the girl waiting on us was probably a mom trying to earn a living. The bill was $119.00. My wife asked me what I was leaving for a tip and I said $119.00. The girl actually hugged me and thanked me. I told her she deserved it. Now with all that being said the best part of this video, and it had me rolling in laughter was when your little girl jumped in the water. She gets out and you ask her "Do you feel 10 years younger" and she looks at you and says "I'm only 8" That was priceless. Great Video!

And yes, those prices can be steep, which is why it's a treat every few years 😅Tampa is a bit of a trek, but if you get the chance, it's definitely worth it and please make reservation in advance . We might head down to Tampa next summer 🤞
