- Speed in KMH. Motec things.
This was the fastest, but definitely not the cleanest, lap driven at Super Lap Battle 2024 in this car.
Car details
2006 Corvette Z06 (started life as Pfadt development car way back).
470 cu.in. LS7 - built in-house at GSpeed
Q16
Zebulon Aero
Michelin S8
Samsonas Sequential (paddle shift with Motec GPRP firmware) - Авто та транспорт
The fastest Naturally Aspirated production-based road course car in the USA, probably the world. Just 3/thousands off Feras best time at COTA with turbos, this is badass
It's crazy that it's on par with GT3 car Qualy times. The fastest n/a GT3 lap this year was a 2:03.5 in a Mercedes AMG GT3. Very impressive that this lap was so close
I was in the stands watching this car pass by and it was unbelievably loud 🦅🦅🦅🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I was told it was rather rowdy sounding when I would blast by! zoom zoom
Yeah, I have a recording of it, but videos do no justice. You could hear it coming from afar, and the downshifts echoed through the stands 💥
DAYUM SON!!! Driver mod + that sound. Subscribed!
Amazing lap!!!! Unreal “first” test of the new build! Car is a rocket! So planted, so balanced!
I've met and talked to Feras at F1 Las Vegas. His turbo C6 time attack is a beast but OMG Eric your NA setup is just as good. ❤ reason why I just leave my street car C6Z built NA too.❤❤❤
Turbos are great, and have their place...but why reinvent the wheel if not necessary.
Damn that's nuts!!! There were 3-4 tenths in carousel exit through 19 as well but besides that super clean. About 1000x better than I did! 💚
Wow! Great driving. Impressive lap Eric!
Helluva lap, man! Congrats on the build! Loved seeing it this weekend.
Amazing, and congrats! Such a wild build, great job by you and your team.
Great driving excited to see what you do next year!
Absolutely incredible! What a vehicle. What a drive! What a lap time!
Looks like a riot to drive!!
Great freaking drive Eric!
Man alive, that's so flipping bad ass!!! Any chance it's a Katech build? What's rwhp and TA weight, please?
Katech has no parts on this car. GSpeed designed, engineered, and built this combo (engine, car, etc.). 830whp / 3150 race ready.
@@EricDFlemingthat's Louis Gigliotti's MSR Shop isn't it??? Local is ALWAYS so much better whenever possible!!!
@@foxschaffer9374 correct! Just wish it were local to me :)
@@EricDFleming Wow, 3,150 pounds? That's basically stock weight, isn't it? Heavier than I thought it would be.
@@justsomerandomguymanrace ready, driver and fuel load.
Brooo that's a beast.
this is badass!!!
2:02.5 is definitely within reach!
I think so too... This was not a "proud" lap when I watch it back. Messed up several key areas that cost me a bit of time.
Thanks for sharing the lap! It's not the best lap, but it isn't bad either. Maybe ~2s to be found on the high end if my sense of speed is calibrated correctly ;). That would take the overall record of course! Didn't you say this was a lot of firsts? I don't remember exactly... first time @ COTA maybe? First time with those tires? I'm sure you'd be there with a few more fast sessions to practice and get dialed in.
Either way, I really like the car, and hope to see more of it!@@EricDFleming
@@colinbowman8816 I think 2 would be really strong based on what we were seeing in the data, but gains to be had no doubt. I’m not proud of my line in this video…we worked on tidying up the driving all weekend. To that point, yes first time I had ever driven a Michelin slick, and first time for anything big(ish) aero. It was a helluva steep learning curve. I’m also had not driven this car since April of the prior year due to an unfortunate on-track incident. So all sorts of rust to knock off and quickly get up to speed. All in, I’m happy with where we ended up!
Amazing lap! Question on T16-18, is that the way to go through that with a car like this? I honestly don’t know and am curious.
From 12 on, my lap was.....compromised. Not by Lyfe necessarily, I just got greedy, tried to over compensate, and then missed some key turn in points.
i bet sacrificing the added power of twin turbos and intercoolers, to gain better weight distribution and lighter overall package played a role in that amazing lap time.
This is insane
Eric, Can u tell me more about the paddle shift set up? Looks way better than ur sequential, and my manual. Taking a hand off the wheel at 120 mph in a corner is always suspect……
It's the same sequential, but pneumatically activated by paddle shifters.
Great run, coming to GTA Ascend?
Won’t be at that one, too far from Atlanta for me to want to travel right now.
WTF is a kilometer?
one really big meter?
But what’s up with that commie speedo!? We need some freedoms per eagle mph here! GOBBLES!
In real racing, GT3s run the same lap times. The man drove great, but there’s nothing great here.
It’s a second and a half faster than SRO qual 2, and the same time as sro qual 1, and 2 sec faster than the factory GTLM C7R on a customer tire, not a confidential tire.
Did I mention that it’s driven by the car owner, and not a wringer driver?
Did I mention it’s shelf parts you can buy on eBay not exotic factory built race car with millions of dollars of development by the OEM and a bunch of enthusiasts?
I think it’s cool, and so do so many others.
Haters gonna hate. So what if a GT3 car developed by the factory with tens of millions of development dollars and a team of dozens of mechanics run a similar lap. Dude built a N.A. car with shelf parts, developed it himself and laid down crazy times. Good for him. And I’m a Porsche guy saying that.
@@mfc2257 I'm not a hater. In no case. The pilot is great, no questions asked. Especially considering that this Corvette is trying to kill the driver at every turn.
@@ivanhool7322 imaging thinking that fast track car is "trying to kill the driver at every turn"
Delusion level is strong, especially since you can clearly see in the video how planted and stable car is
Off the crusher with it I guess. Slow ole pile of junk. Thanks for the feedback.
