I couldn't travel around the world on my motorbike like that, but I take my hat off to you for daring to do this opposite and openly show it to us on youtube.
It’s not for everyone and that is fine. I always try to give a very realistic perspective and also not glamorize it. So that People also kind of know what they get in too
@@FreeMilesMC not glamorize it....well you aced that part. Wish you good luck.
Fuuuuckin hell man, tough ride. So, so beautiful though. This is what resilience looks like 💪🏽 respect sir 🫡
Thank you for the kind comment. It was actually a very beautiful day on the road ☺️
Honestly you are a very brave young man, hats off to you 😊
Thank you, for the compliment ☺️
I'm really sorry you are having such a tough time but your determination and resilience are very impressive. I sympathise as years ago I toured Scotland camping and the cold wind and rain were awful. So, I hope you manage to dry out and enjoy all the positives of such an adventure.
Thanks for returning over and over again to my channel. Actually this day was quit alright. The night in the tend ofcourse sucked but yea
Admire your willpower in that weather.. 🤙🏾
“Beauty at low temperature is beauty“
Honestly the landscape was incredible ☺️
Fairplay Miles! You are dedicated to the bike life! Keep on fighting💪Hope your feet feel better soon!
Thank you, I hope so too☺️
You are the toughest driver i know of. Thank you for sharing your fantastics endeavors!
Man you have the best music in your videos! Not only nice to listen to but also very good quality, really like your content!
Inspiraitonal , the way you keep pushing forward. Marocco, Italy, iceland... where will this end with such determination!
There are hopefully many more trips to come if I manage to grow this channel ☺️
God bless..thank you
Brilliant, best on utube
Thank you for the appreciation ☺️
Zelo zabavno je gledati tvoj video! Zelo si vztrajen! Bravo! Pozdrav iz Slovenije!
Thank you for the appreciation ☺️
it's very impressive how much you're determined to continue. Push starting is never easy, and doing it multiple times. Shoes problems always so painful on top of that. And bike falling, ant stand broken, etc.
Yes kind of when it rains it poors ☺️
Greetings! Fellow XJ owner here, from Estonia. If you manage to get a hold of a 1989-1994 american version of FZR600 rear rim (4.00 inch wide, the rim is a direct swap, no machining or anything required) you can stick a 150/70R18 tire on the back, which is a very common adventure bike rear tire size, makes the choice of rear offroad/road tires much bigger. Travel safe!
Thanks for this tip actually have a not running fzr in my shed but want to get it going again
@@FreeMilesMC The 4 inch rim was only on american models, european models had 3.50 wide rim, same as xj600s, which allows only 140 wide tire. Those 4,00 rims sometimes pop up on ebay, i actualy bought my from Germany :D
I have the American version. I think it’s called the California version. It also only has mph on the speedometer. It was my first bike I ever had I love it very mutch
Hi. Not sure if others have suggest this already. Turn all lights off and don’t plug anything in to charge before starting the bike. Might give you enough extra power for starting it.
I already tried this but it didn’t work
@@FreeMilesMC was worth a try anyway. Keep safe.
I think google allows offline maps only for 30 days. You can update them earlier, but cannot update later. Indeed, a crazy system.
Yes also I downloaded them like 14 days before this ☺️
Are you sure your bike knows it's a motorcycle, not a Draisine? ☺
Holy fork, what battles! 😵💫 But as long as you have fun, right? 🤗
I still enjoyed the day on the road ☺️
You have to put your sleeping bag on the top case when you drive so it gets dry
If you can tolerate all that, everything else gets easier!
It was still a good day, I have to say☺️
Great episode Miles. Would like to see your bike issues fixed and get some better luggage but there’s no denying the additional adventure aspect of the trip 😊. Take care of yourself!
I will fix then as soon as I have the posebilety
good job mate, be careful though 😅
Miles you have to sort out the starting mate, I had it on mine for about 1 month, every morning and evening going and coming from work, just push start it and there were a couple of times that I just couldn't do it and almost got to tears, I was just defeated ! 😁
Yes i know That feeling. I will have to fix it as soon as i get Home
I would've given up and driven to the hotel. Damn!
I was also very close to doing That
@@FreeMilesMC Was the sleeping bag dry?
In den letzten fünf Sekunden sagt er es
@@fa7842 danke. Ich hatte das nicht gehört
Unless you're spending several months in Iceland I'm assuming you're now home and dry. Hopefully with the bike issues sorted and proper tyres back on the bike!
A fair experiment putting off-road tyres on a road bike but I think we can safely say you're better off buying a dual purpose bike. 😁👍.
As for camping in Iceland, well that's just pure madness!!! 😂😉
Still bussy sorting the stuff out, Back Home.
I don’t know i think for Basic Enduro hicking this is Fine. Because a Good Dual Sport bike can get expensive quit quickly.
And when it comes to value for money this is basically unbeatable.
I am actually curious about owning a dual sport one day
i think a old kawasaki klr 650 would be great for such a journy
Another option would be an F650 GS. This bike was quite popular in Germany, so there are lots of them on the market for sale. It is known for its reliability. Only one cylinder though, so maybe not ideal for longer stretches on the Autobahn, but definitely the right choice for trips like this.
@@FreeMilesMC i have a adventure (T7) bike and it is very heavy to lift it up if it fals over. Not recomended if you travel remotely alone.
I think one thing what makes his video special (besides his determination) is that he's doing it with a cheap bike he already has. It creates struggles, but it also puts him in a different league of it's own. There's no one doing what he's doing (yes, there was a guy with R1 around the world like 20 years ago, but we all know about him. That's exactly the point!). Btw, I'm not saying he shouldn't never change a bike, but it's his brand now to do with what he has and just keep pushing.
Have you got any idea what the problem could be with the starter? I would be stressing like anything.......
I think it’s somthing with the carburators
Your bike isn't a stupid machine as you call it, it's the owner not having any idea how maintain and repair his bike... it will only get worser... Fix it...
I have to agree with that as a 22-year-old XJ user, it hurts me a bit to watch you struggle with something that is trivial to repair in such a simple motorcycle parts are available you can rebuild the carburetors you can fix the charging reserve etc small things that will not absorb the costs and will allow you to ride without any problems. Don't give up because xj won't give up so easily good luck! 🤘
Yes you are right. I am curently working on Fixing the bike it was just ot posible in iceland. Also I am still figuring out how to do this type of stuff. Because I have no prior experience with fixing Motorcycles
