I just figured out like 10 minutes ago .I was like where the heck is the oil. I kept using a pumpjack. Then realized it was a oil lake or whatever when i moused over them.
Ты просто спас меня, думал уже никогда не найду нормальное объяснение как сделать параметризацию универсального логистического завода, это же просто необходимая вещь экономящая время.
still incredible that the starter base of so long ago with just little modification can carry you all the way past green science a really good solid blueprint from a veteran at the game :) enjoying space age right now the devs really put in theyre weight on this happy building everybody!!!!
I love that little starter base i found another one clearly inspired using a city block and does everything up to chem blue sci i have been to 2 planets and still not ripped it down lmao though i feel going to space before setting up proper yellow utility science is a trap 😂 also power poles need wire not copper plates so you have to modify some designs but that is fun 😊
11:54 You should put your inserters and boxes to the right or left side rather than centered so that you could make a second one vertically mirrored and use up all the space between your buildings.
I wonder what the lore reason is for the oil lakes on Fulgora. They make up the majority of the surface, that amount of ore doesn't just come out of nowhere. Is it naturally occurring? Was it left behind by the civilisation that lived on the planet? Is it a result of pollution, or was it intentional? Fulgora is creepy af. Definitely my favourite planet so far.
@@bakashiki4514 No oxygen maybe, the previous alien civilization might not be oxygen breathing. Anyway that’s the same reason a place like titan with lakes of liquid methane also doesn’t burn
its very distant and cold planet, as soon fire start the heat getting sucked off by adjacent environment that fire heat cant keep up, also lack of oxygen also.
It's probably already mentioned, but you could simplify the parameterized craft. Connect the chest to the factory, then "read ingredients" and you are set.
Is there a way to increase how much resources get requested? This only requests the exact amount to make the item, which results in a lot of downtime waiting for the next delivery to arrive, when requesting 3 or 4 times as many would stop this
i kinda did the same thing as the paramitised bp machine but with circuit conditions as you can control buildings themselfs now but nice to know of other ways i can see that being quite powefull tool
If you want to mimic the way the game sets up requester chests when you copy/paste an assembler recipe onto them (i.e. request just enough for 30 seconds of crafting) you can use this formula instead: (30/p0_t)*p0_i1. Then just repeat for all ingredients, changing p0_i1 to p0_i2, p0_i3, etc.
i think the electromagnetic plant passes through the holmium solution as indicated by the in/out arrows, so you can daisy chain multiple plants together without pipes
My Fulgora was extremely unlucky. I was going for the no yellow or purple science achievement and it was my first planet, so there’s that. But the location… A 51 Million scrap deposit in a tiny island, just barely close enough to another tiny island to share logistics network but no power connection. The big islands closeby are too far away for either, so no expanding to that till I can build on oil or at least put trains on oil. Miserable. Power outages regularly because I don’t really have room for many capacitors, and almosr everything done at a snails pace by logistics bots. But hey, 51 Million Scrap, am I right. 10/10 would rush Fulgora again.
i would said import plastic from Gleba/Nauvis look way better, for just space platform its hard to build quickly enough on fulgora before medium asteroids fly hit you.
Hi, I don't get something with parameter in blueprint, when I select a building to set it to parameter 0, I don't see the menu with parameter... do you have any hint about it ? something to activate in the setting maybe ?
I have already finished my exploration of fulgora for my first playthrough, heading to gleba now, but HOW did you get such a large land mass on fulgora?? I cannot find a place larger than a quarter of the size of your building location...
Yeah that was the first thing I noticed too. My biggest land mass fits in a 6x6 square of roboports, but about a third of that is ocean. Not only does that give you a tight space to build in, but since your power generation is tied to the land area your lightning rods protect, you're power starved too.
What's your opinion on quality all the way through? That is, quality modules on miners, furnaces, assemblers, blah blah blah. It looks like it's impossible to make work without some awful filtered cars sort of build, especially for stuff like green circuits. But that efficiency, it's tantalizing...
@@warwicksulista8320 Right? I can just imagine some new player unlocks them, automates some, and puts them in their build - and obviously, it immediately clogs. Honestly most of why it's such ass to deal with is that you can't filter chest slots. Trains, you can, and that makes it easy! Chests, you have to use inserter circuit conditions. Which means a combinator. Which means bad UPS. Terrible. It's not as bad if you just use bots for everything, of course. It just feels like belts are horribly equipped to do anything with quality involved.
Did they change the parametrise feature to now only show what the machine (in this case electromagnetic plant) is capable of crafting? Because that's what I'm now seeing in game.
You had copper just sitting there already? My superconductor setup never got any copper and I've been scrapping for hours, are we supposed to manually set up a copper wire recycling loop to ensure we have copper plate? Also, plastic was thin on the ground as well. Are we supposed to be importing these base materials or trying to make them locally on the side?
Hi Nilaus, quick question If I've understood correctly, the videos you release every day on Factorio are condensed streams from nilaus ts, is that correct? If so, do you plan to make a video every day until the end of this game? I'd like to be able to follow an entire game, but unfortunately I don't have several hours a day to watch a stream. I find your videos perfect for my needs.
I am playing 2 worlds simultaneously, but both started from the same starter base; one for UA-cam and one for Twitch. It is not the same base or the same content, I play it several times in parallel to create the content. Generally, Twitch is ahead and is for experimentation while UA-cam is more focused on what I have learned while experimenting on Twitch. The UA-cam series is a condensed version of a parallel playthrough as Twitch
@@Nilaus Thanks for your reply. It will be a pleasure to follow your adventure. I used to watch a French streamer, but he does factorio 13 hours a day and I don't have time to watch so much content. You're going to allow me to discover factorio in a better way, I like that.
@@boisq97 I believe that it gives only 25% back, which means that you're going to be losing ¾ of your uncommon tier to make the next level up, and so on. Probably not a good early game strategy?
Is anyone doing a quality base? Any good circuit condition to avoid endless recycling so I do not burn my scrap stockpile too fast. I think recycling just to make room for other materials is acceptable. but I do not want to do it when there is no science pack/quality shop demand. I want to prioritize shipping rocket parts and heavy oil to other planets when they exceed their stockpile.
@@PremierSullivan what? belts are not complex.. and there is no throughput problems with bots .. the high quantity things go on belts (scrap + what comes out of it, some components) then the rest of the things are not in that big of quantity.. tldr - since bots have weaker throughput , make belt hybrids. factorio players fall into the rabbit hole of efficiency... having everything perfect is slower way to progress and you will actually produce less because it takes more time
Rough self contained modules are easy to scope, and belts are inexpensive and convenient for passing resources internally. Having logistics bots handle the external plumbing means it starts working early, giving you time and resources to plan actual belt connections or a whole different build later. It could be the best strategy, it might not, but really it just comes down to whether it's fun for the person building it.
@@tukib_ I think it would be faster to do the hybridization the opposite way. Put logi chests on every machine and then put passive provider chest on main bus belts near the modules.
Space introduces five new packs so that should be 12 total, if I recall correctly. A far sight better than Space Exploration which has like 20+ new science packs.
