I would not recommend putting your hands between the lines when one is loose and the other is tight (such as 9:48) If the line lock was to fail then the tension transfer could injure your hand. It's good practise from a riggers point of view to treat any line as an energy source until it has been completely removed from the load bearing part of the main line (when the grip or comealong has been removed)
wow...i got an idea from looking at your system! i bet you could softpoint a line with a high quality ratchet + spare piece of webbing attached to the line grip. only problem would be softly releasing the ratchet, so i figure this is why this method is not a "thing"..
Your kids are in for a treat with bedtime stories! What a voice....you could take the fear out of Grimm's Fairy tales.
I think I'd be happy to listen to you reading TV programmes. What a voice!

Very educational.
You show all the steps.
Thanks
Great video, I've just got one too. Great piece of kit!
P.S. Your voice is soothing, kind of like a pilot before take off :)

Great vid. Thanks
what kind of webbing was used here? im thinking a low stretch like mantra would work better with this system if I'm tensioning myself.
I used the NEON-Light. It has 4% stretch at 10kN. Mantra will work like a charm ;-)
How do you de-tension the line?
With the lineLoose system attached above the lineScale.

@@slackProXde That's a "Ladder" or "One way" buckle they use in cargo transportation.
Are you in anyway related to Bob Ross?
The lever tensioner is called a come-along. At least that's what we call it.
