LeBron can’t and never could guard all 5 positions effectively. That’s a gross overstatement by the media. He guarded centers less than 5% of his entire career. Point guards give him trouble.
Why are there so many lebron haters in these comments. Your not wrong but you can't just say things about one person and then not apply it to another. Like bro, nobody buddy said in this list can guard all 5 positions.
Shifty guards give him trouble and that’s because they are faster than him, in his prime he could guard most points , and in his peak he could guard any center that isn’t a top 5-8 center in the league partly because of his weight and height, being able to compete in the strength department in the post along with his IQ, which if your a top 5 big man then your unguardable by pretty much everybody
It's funny, i looked at the graphic and thought MJ is the only one with argument for all the attributes listed above those players. His career was like a thrilling movie with failing in order to triumph and dominate vs Russell and Kareem just winning all the time with stacked help or LeBrons long run with so many let downs on the biggest stage and letting so many of his peers win on his watch or Kareem and LeBron skipping failing to succeeding by just stacking the deck with talent and playing with more help than most of the other top 50 all time players ever. Hell, Kareem played with TWO of the greatest players ever. How unfair is that for all others in the GOAT convo? Just as we all know its unfair Russell played with so many HOF players and Wilt with so few. Just as i believe it's unfair to weigh Kobes 5 as near Jordans 6 when despite his biggest fans trying to say Kobe carried Shaq now, Shaq was the dominant force that allowed Kobe to shin in one on one situations. I would argue Kobe was a batman for the 2nd championship, but other than that he had batman flashes, but overall was robin to Shaq for two of those rings. So no, i do not think Kobe should have 5 weighed as 5 when he had 3, at worst 2 as not even the best player on his team. That's not his fault of course, but i just mention this bc you know his fans would have argued Kobe as good or better than MJ if Kobe won that 6th when in reality it would be 3 is the alpha. MJ's numbers on per game and advanced are better than Lebron who needs total accumulated stats(something that did not make Kareem over Jordan previously). Most skilled. I'd take Jordan over Kobe. The fact is the idea of skills get bias toward each days current time period-and that's why modern fans think their players are more skilled than Kobe. The rules changing in favor of the offensive player + modern moves is what people usually equate with skilled. I dont equate street ball play with NBA professional skillsets. Take your guy who dribbles 20 seconds or jacks up deep wild shots but makes a few that make the fans and crowd go wild. Ill take the skillset of MJ's floor scanning and making plays before they even began. No wasted movements. Surgical precision. Not to mention off ball and how you impact the game without the ball is a skillset as well. You can watch your favorite player stand around without the ball while i watch MJ work tirelessly to get position or open as if he's Steph, Reggie, Rip, ray or Larry, but as arguably the goat Mid J+arguably best post skills. The categories MJ has no argument for are obviously the big man categories, but also 3pt shooting, and yet he has argument for best post player fadeaway/skills and best midrange shooting. Dribbling of course since that's not his game, but at what point is control of the ball better than a guy with flash but higher turnovers a detriment to skill evaluation? i think you could argue Most Physically Talented is between Shaq,LeBron and Wilt. LeBron fans always argue for his skills, but lets face it. LeBron has zero bag. LeBron like Shaq and Giannis made his living off scoring at the basket and bullying smaller players downhill as well as fast break. Outside of a ton of 3's, his overall shot chart isnt too unlike Karl Malone who also feasted under the basket and on fast breaks. Karl had far more faceup from the middie vs Bron more 3s. Different ways to score under the basket, but they both did their bulk there. Brons also benefited from small ball league as well as pace and space era. His old age numbers like everyone elses right now are inflated in this era that is closer to the 60s era and i still laugh on insta when people bring up avg's for 39 year old LeBron etc vs same age Wizards MJ in the slowest paced era ever or just avg's comparing to today's players in general. Combat Brons benefits with Kareem whose stats are inflated EARLY and then came back down to earth after the NBA/ABA merger and stats remained pretty even and easy to compare until the recent NBA turned into Adam Silvers era of his youth, the 60s and early 70s ABA. Yes a chunk of the 80s was fast paced with tons of possessions, but still not like the 60snba/70s aba which is more like current NBA. I've often said today is the 70s ABA with a modern twist. Both Kareem and LeBron benefitted from era crossover inflated stats, though one could argue LeBron saw multiple era crossover benefits as he entered the league just as hand checking was removed and the NBA listed under the rule books to open up lanes for scorers-Bron came in just as the slowest paced era was losing viewers and the NBA wanted to pump up stats to create the next Jordan thus Kobe career high avg, AI in his 30s, VC and more getting career high boosts including a young LeBron putting up ridiculous numbers before the NBA adjusted and brought things back down to earth again until they were ready to boost old LeBron for a run at Kareems record. Make no mistake. Even now. The NBA desperately wants to find another Michael Jordan. Not another Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain. Not another Kareem. Not another Magic and Larry. Not another Kobe or LeBron or Steph. It wants what the fans want. The next Michael Jordan or better.
@mkingl25 Hakeem and Shaq have become underrated over the years yes but neither were on Jordans level offensively nor defensively. There simply has never been an athlete in the history of sports on Jordan's level. Love him or hate him Jordan is in a league of his own.
It's pretty simple. He said the players that other people have called the GOAT. As great as Duncan is, nobody outside of San Antonio has claimed he's the GOAT. Period. Some though think Kobe is.
@@RealMichaelJJordan Sure but 3 of those 5 are Shaq's. That's like saying Pippen has 6 rings so he should be in the GOAT conversation. Pippen is an all time great but he isn't the GOAT. And the Magic had Howard, that's it. Take Howard off that team and they might not even make the playoffs in the weak east. Take Kobe off that Lakers team they still have Gasol, Artest, Buynum, Odom and solid a bench. I don't know if you're just a kid or what but the strength of that Lakers team was their size. People said the Lakers had the best front court in basketball at the time. That was a great team.
@True-Believer616 yeah and them white billionaires just letting him get away. Not caring if other players decide to juice they can't do nothing. Yeah the nba saying f them lawsuits 😂 lebron got some power
The fact that Kareem had a 20 year career, won 6 championships, won his first championship in his 2nd year in the league, and won his last chip in the 2nd to last year of the league is insane. Kareem shouldn't have even been playing in the 80s decade and yet he played to the very last year.
Exactly, he even has the undisputed best college resume' too. Kareem's career I'd say is one of if not the most important in NBA history because he played right after the 60s Celtics dynasty ended and retired right before the 90s Bulls dynasty started. He's one of the only Goats that can truly make the case they could play in any era.
@@Seanna104 Actually, Kareem's college resume IS disputed - by both Walton (88 games straight!) and Russell (56 games straight while he was on the team, Olympic Gold). But I can't think of anyone else that can dispute Kareem's college resume. In the NBA though, even Kareem has mentioned how "Bill Russell strangled the league for 13 seasons" in a league that *ONLY* the best had a prayer of getting into due to the low number of positions FOR players.
Jordan may not be the greatest at everything but overall, he doesn’t do anything poorly. He’s a skilled ball handler, good shooter, good rebounder etc. He’s gifted athletically and a fierce defensive player. What he excels at is his competitive spirit, that’s 2nd to none. Kobe is close but Lebron is far behind. Lebron doesn’t play at 100% all the time. It does help with the longevity but quantity shouldn’t outweigh quality. Jordan did more in his career in far less games. He never put in half hearted effort, especially on the defensive end. Lebron takes so many plays off.
I’m surprised people don’t talk about Jordan more often when comparing best allround players. when compared to among all shooting guards in nba history his career averages are at or damn near top 3 in every statistical category
@SalRubino82 I believe Kobe has a case for GOAT... Shaq could've had more Chips, but chose to be lazy. Tim had help and arguably the best Coach for his entire career. KD left a really good team and joined a team that beat him and hasn't done anything since... In that order, but they are all amazing professional basketball players...
@@SalRubino82 Kobe is the most skilled on the list with accolades to back it up on both ends. He offensively son’d one of the toughest conferences in the toughest era, and won 2/3 titles with what were bearly playoff teams. But he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and by today’s stands, inefficient. Duncan was one of the most dominate big men in his era, he was constant, played both ends, and sacrificed for his team. You knew exactly what he was going to do (bank shot) almost no one could stop him. But he never won without multiple all stars and played pretty much his entire career with a great or very good team. No adversity. Shaq was the most dominant player since wilt. He was absolutely unstoppable offensively, and a nightmare on defense. But he had a short peak, poor work ethic, a horrible free throw shooter, and needed elite players like Wade, Penny, and Kobe to carry his teams in the 4th. Shaq relied almost exclusively on him being bigger than everyone else, but he was pretty lazy. KD is one of the best pure shooting scorers ever! Good ball handling, very efficient, excellent from anywhere on the floor. But ran to a team that beat him to win, and hasn’t yet been able to lead a team to a ring. Not even Olympic/Fifa/all star teams. Poor leadership.
MJs career average stats look impressive but some of his greatest moments were when someone trash talks to him. In this era where there are a lot of trolls, with his combination of athleticism and skills that are still unmatched by any one player today (bigger hands than Kawhi, higher vertical than Lebron, faster 40 yard dash than Lebron, better layup package than Kyrie, doing weird shots and passes like Jokic), it's no wonder people who saw him play say he would average 50. And that is just them trying to be polite. Jordan proved he can set a record of 63 points during the playoffs on a team full of HOF (including another possible GOAT contender) on an era with defense.
@@reubenbanks6601 Yes he is because all lebron does is flop and cry. If mj couldnt win a mvp in lebrons softer era of basketball then idk why your goat is getting cooked by a guy who watches horse races in the locker room and cant even jump. @@nba4life9 Not really. You just acknowledge his best individual years were 2005 and 2006 when he coined the moniker “black mamba” and was considered the best player in league. but the league wouldn’t allow a man accused of grape in a very public case to be the face of the NBA. It’s political.
@@RodneyPillows Nowhere near the shooter, ESPECIALLY in the clutch. Nowhere near the rebounder, though PART of that was guard not forward. Nowhere near the passer. Debateable on defense - better 1-on-1 defender, NOT as good at help/team defense.
Despite the fact that he played against the second most HOF player at his position(only behind kareem and parish, which he played 7 years less than both) He PLAYED THE MOST TOTAL GAMES against another hof center….see list below lol (mind you these are their barefoot heights, in the modern NBA you would add 1-2 inches to their height, as players have been measured in their shoes only after 1977) C-Bill Russell: 6’10” HOF (143 games played in 9 seasons) C-Kareem Abdul Jabbar: 7'2" HOF(27 games played in 4 seasons) C-Willis Reed: 6,10” HOF(72 games played in 8 seasons) C-Walt Bellamy: 6'11" HOF(100 games played in 11 seasons) C-Artis Gilmore: 7'2" HOF C-Bob Lanier: 6'11" HOF(17 games played in 3 seasons) C-Nate Thurmond: 6'11" HOF(47 games played in 4 seasons) C-Bob McAdoo: 6’10” HOF (5 games played in 1 season) C-Elvin Hayes:6’9 “ HOF (22 games played in 4 seasons) (Wes Unseld is also a HOF center but he is 6’9) (26 times in 5 seasons) (Dave Cowens is also a HOF Center/Forward but he is 6”9)(17 games played in 3 seasons) (Connie Hawkins is also a HOF Forward/ center but he is 6”9)(31 games played in 4 seasons) (please note there are more HOF PF who guarded and were guarded by wilt chamberlain but the majority of them are 6’8 to 6’9) SO THATS 574 OUT OF 1045…WHICH TRANSLATES TO 54% OF WILTS GAMES BEING PLAYED AGAINST ANOTHER HOF CENTER…
Michael Jordan or Larry Bird. they could do it ALL, tho Bird did it all a bit BETTER.. scored and defended, (not to Mikes level) but ALSO stretched the floor, got dirty inside more, rebounded and facilitated more, and even hustled more (which is crazy cuz miked hustled his @$$ off) and was just as clutch or MORE..
@@cindyknudson2715 I've got Bird at #4 on my Basketball Mount Rushmore, along with Magic, MJ, and Kareem. Lebron was not as good as any of those guys; I've got him at #7 behind Steph and Kobe, though I really prefer Hakeem. Timmy and Shaq round out my top ten.
What’s truly impressive about Kareem’s scoring total (38,387 points) is he attempted 18 three pointers and made one his entire career. The three pointer wasn’t even an option for over half that time. He achieved that point total shooting primarily twos making his total even more impressive.
Kobe is the only player... in nba history to win back to back titles without a 75 great.. Some players did it once.. duncan, curry, lebron, kwahi giannis.. but kobe did it twice...back2back.... and repeating is the hardest thing to do.. once again. Only player in nba history to complete that feature.. if that isnt used as a measure his goat case then i dont kno what does.
MJ is the GoAT, even if my personal favourites are Kobe and Iverson in that order!!! He was superior, incredible and incomparable. Take a look at his impact in the league, on sponsors, on fans and players during a time, when neither the internet nor social media and networks existed!!!
Nick Galis, Luka Doncic, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Bill Russel. With that order specifically. I don't know where to put oscar schmidt.
@@SalRubino82 the only argument I would make there is that you can find LeBron all over the internet. However, Jordan was everywhere to, and that was without the internet. So 🤷♂️

THANK YOU THANK YOU, THIS VIDEO PROVES A POINT I MAKE TO BRONETTES AND BRONSEXUALS: Yall disrespect Mo and Big Z and they won 66 fu games, GTFO Bron always and forever had help
Honestly it's still impressive what he was able to do. He's a great player. A beautiful passer. He's just not as good as Kobe or Jordan, but the potential is still there to at least be as good.
Kobe always been the goat for me. Out of all of his accolades, being thr only one on this list to win without another top 75 player more than once, is very telling
@inefekt everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I used to fight people on it but heck at this point, it's no reason to debate just accept that everyone has their reasons for y their player is the goat
I think the Greatest of All-Time (The GOAT) is Michael Jordan. How many Scoring Titles did the narrator say he won? I think he said 10. How many Scoring Titles for Bird, Magic, Kobe and LeBron? There was ZERO for Bird and Magic, LeBron 1-time & Kobe twice. So it's 10 for MJ and a total of 3 between Bird, Magic, Kobe & LeBron. I feel that these numbers speak for themselves.
You need to also understand that MJ's 10 scoring titles do come with context he took allot of shots. i mean no duh, if ur gonna take alot of shots, and ur talented as fuck, and you got micheal jordan efficency, your ppg average will be high but kobe and lebrons prime were during such a tougher era to score in, as mjs regular season monster averages were in the mid 80s and the cusp of the 90s, which had rules that fit mj better then the rules fit kobe and bron the real kicker is mj took more shots then lbj for example, and in the first 10 real seasons they played (mj was injured year two) lebron actually had more points per shot (unless I messed up my math) especially when he was around 2 3 or 4 in total ppg thats no fault to mj or bron of course, but I feel that those ten scoring titles need to carry a little less weight then most people assume they mean
@@shadows5499it’s still fucking 10 though if he had half of that yeah sure, but I don’t think what you said negates 10 years worth of scoring titles nearly enough.
@@shadows5499 He has the highest efficiency rating ever. If anything, he didn't shoot enough. The more shots you take (assuming efficiency) it means you are so good that the coach needs to force feed you to get the wins. Same reason that a football team with Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes will try to pass 40+ times a game. They aren't going to get blamed for their touchdowns or yards because they passed more. They just were told to because they were that good at passing.
@@CHI-JORDAN-CHIlisten man i do not care about the basketball goat debate different eras and rules mean to me u cant compare the careers of players in different eras but do not stand here and tell me that brady can even be muttered in a talk about passing ability with patrick mahomes brady is the greatest game manager oat but he is no where near a top ten arm talent
@@shadows5499 he took a lot of shots and was very efficient for the majority of those titles. Only his final 3 scoring titles could you say that it wasn't totally in the team's best interest that he shot that much. He also had a few steals titles on his resume which contributes to his two-way play. Also, it's a misnomer that he had easier defense and more favorable offensive rules. The league ground to a halt in the mid 90s in pace and defensive stinginess was at an all-time high that the league never really replicated, even in the dead ball era of the mid 00s. As for points per shot....well jordan didn't take 3 point shots the first ten years of his career. He legit averaged more than 1.3 shots per game 3 times in his first 10 years of his career. Year like 6, 9 and 10. Lebron taking more three pointers automatically would make that a good likelihood since you don't have to take as many shots in that scenario. The difference though is that Jordan was a much better foul shooter, so in reality Jordan had more value as a scorer because he could make his foul shots more often.
Lebron is a good passer but as far as rebounding all he does is pads defensive rebounds that are largely gotten because he’s not playing any defence. His offensive rebounds are among weakest at his position. Some shooting guards crash boards better than him. Scoring only one lone scoring title.
Yea idk how he could be the best all around player I feel like that has to go to Bird or Mj. Lebron has the best accumulative stats ig you could say even tho he stat pads but that’s really it. Below average rebounder for his position, below average shooter on every level, and he’s a good passer but he also averages a lot of turnovers and he consistently lead the league in turnovers multiple times I think.
Tbh, one scoring title is enough for an all-rounder. He proved he could do it, if he does it many times, he wouldn't be an all-rounder, he would be a scorer. It's not like he was averaging John Stockton scoring numbers.
@@someguy2385He’s the all time leader in turnovers. In the first two games of this year’s 2024 Olympics he averaged six turnovers per game. I stopped watching after that.
You nearly had me from start to finish. Calling Jordan the undisputed greatest 2 way player all time just lost me. Personally it is a 3 horse race. Can argue any of them. Olajuwon, Wilt and Jordan. Strong arguments for all. FYI my top 3 all time. Jordan 1, Kareem 2 and Bird 3. An unpopular list. But it’s mine.
Okay I think we can all agree that MJ is the goat. Kareem is definitely top 3. But LeBron is way closer to MJ than to Kareem. It's an honest question, why do you not have LeBron James, who almost the entire community agrees on being 2nd (some even first), in your top 3?
@@lukakaps9548 James is not a top 3. I personally have Jordan, Magic and Bird. Heck it's really difficult to fit lebron james in the top 5. And in context, he wouldn't make the top 10 but would be top 15.
I chopped it up like this: Kareem best resume on paper Jordan the best peak Lebron longest prime or played at the highest level for the longest period Kobe the most skilled and won the most during the most competitive and defensive minded era there ever was. This era was also the most disadvantageous for a player like him.
not only was his era against but his management was too 😂 Kobe shouldve won more than 5 rings and 1 mvp, but the media hated him and his teams were never good throughout his prime years
@@S3verusMyG People definitely hated him but the lakers were only really bad for 3 years and some of that time while it was his peak he also missed time do to injury. I think he could’ve gotten 1 more. 2004 they should’ve won but Phil got out coached and nobody aside from Shaq had a good series(that was Detroits plan) and the role players didn’t fit them as well as prior seasons. 2008 that unit just wasn’t better than Boston.
If Kobe would be playing in this era... he would be breaking even more records than what he broke in his time. He would every scoring title and championship because he just wants it more than all the spoiled and pampered stars of today
Kobe never once shot 50% from the field, or 40% from 3, or 90% from the line. Not very skilled. Just throwing up bricks getting bailed out by Shaq and Gasol.
Yet that didn't stop him from accomplishing what he did in his career. Let's not forget Gasol wasn't considered a top 75 player while he played with Kobe. Kobe was dragging his team to the playoffs after Shaq left. Without Kobe the lakers wouldn't have been a playoff contender for years once shaq was gone. They also wouldn't have 3 peeted without Kobe.
@@Spyder016 Kobe is actually considered pretty good with assists for a shooting guard. Legit is top 10 all time in assists per game for a shooting guard which is a better litmus than career assists where kobe is i think 3rd all time but also played 20 years.

LeBron is NOT the greatest all-around player ever. At all. This doesn't make any sense. He has clear flaws--He isn't a good shooter outside 3 feet, he is a bad FT shooter, he has no go-to moves, he has poor intangibles, he has poor basketball fundamentals in footwork, he hasn't played hard defense since at least his time in Miami, and he has never learned to play in an offense that doesn't have him as a ball hog. If you look at his statistics, you will see regardless of the team he has, his numbers never change much--The key is that the statistics and eye test indicate that HIS TEAMMATES ARE FORCED TO ALTER THEIR GAME FOR HIS--The evidence shows that he does not have a malleable game, he can play one way (him hogging the ball)--how is this "best all-around"? I don't understand how the "best all around player" and "best basketball IQ" statements repeatedly get made about this guy when we have so much evidence to the contrary over the years. Just seems like people say things over and over and then they are believed.

Any team without their best player is going to struggle, hell they are going to struggle whenever their second best player is out. Fact is the Celtics went 26-26 all time when Russell was not playing. Not great but not terrible either.
All those traits are all Jordan owned.... Kareem and Koby and other greats will probably compared to each other in the 2nd spot next to the GOAT.... Lebron is out of the 50 or 75 greatest of all time. His rings doesn't make him better bc we truly seen that he got that 4 rings because of the leadership of wade Bosh and Allen in Miami, Kevin love and Irving in Cleveland and A Davis and great supporting cast in lakers... FUN FACT: Out of all the guys in the GOAT 🐐 debate LeBRONZE🥉🥉is the ONLY one that needed to create SUPER TEAMS to win championships 🏆 NOBODY ELSE. Not MJ🐐, Kobe, Kareem, Wilt, Magic, Bill Russell or Duncan took the SUPER TEAM route. So how can we even compare LBJ to guys that had traditional careers. 🤷♂️ If you wanna get technical he pretty much cheated. He didn’t compete like all those other guys. From 2011-24 he pretty much put joined up with the best players he could to create SUPER TEAMS to make it easier to get to the Finals. Check this timeline and you’ll see how SUPER TEAMS changed his career. 2003-2010 1 Finals Appearance 🧹 - 2011 - 2024 9 Finals Appearances See what I mean 🤷♂️ It’s not fair to the guys I just mentioned that LBJ be compared to them and ranked higher than most of them when he took SUPER TEAM shortcuts to success 🏆and they didn’t. It’s like all of them were in a shooting contest from half court and Lebron was shooting from the free throw line. You guys can say whatever you want. It’s not a fair debate with Lebron included. Shaq probably could have done that if he took 30 shots a game, they played at a 120 pt pace, he was playing guys like darrall imhoff and his teammates fouled the other team on purpose to get him more possessions which wilt admitted his team did.

He also wasn't anywhere close to his all-star form which was still another 5 years off. Not that Phil Jordon was much better (RIP). The point is he beat up on a bench player for 100 pts and his teammates fouled the other team so he could get more possessions to score. He also played as many games in the NBA against players who had no business being called professionals at the time. Imhoff was one of them being a back up on the worst team in the league, years before he became any good. You need context to stats. He also was captain of some pretty deep teams and won twice with them, I guess when you can't beat up on 23 year old Darrall Imhoff and the 29 win Knicks you can't inflate your numbers.

I'm a little biased in favor of Jordan, because I grew up mostly in the 80s and because of Jordan's perfect titles record (6 titles, no defeats) and his propensity to take it to a new level in the playoffs. I've long had the opinion, however, that you can't really compare players from different eras due to several reasons, esp. 'societal.' When I do review LOTS of old black and white footage of all sports and compare to every era since.....my impressions are that MANY black and white 'old school' athletes were great for their time.......and would STILL be great in today's era.......be it boxers, basketball players, baseball players, football players, etc. I, perhaps 'partially biasedly' believe that by a slim margin the 80s was likely the best era in NBA history followed very closely by the 90s.....
false, you can Definitely compare players of different eras. Here's how--thru Kareem who played against Wilt and also played for twenty years against everyone, in the 70s and 80s
First off MJ is the goat people can try and say otherwise but it's been dissected by to many people and MJ always comes out as the goat and it's not even close. And I can't believe there are people in the comments actually saying LeBron isn't a bad shooter 😂. Like you automatically disqualify yourself if you think LeBron is a good shooter. And I'll go as far as to say LeBron isn't even top 5 all time. I mean his finals record speaks for itself he's 4-6 and the guy has played on more super teams than anyone else and plus he got completely shut down in the 2011 finals by JJ Berea and got out played by Jason Terry 😂. And LeBron is a terrible teammate he blames his teammates and coaches any time he loses or comes up short he gets them fired or traded while never taking accountability himself. I could go on ever further with this but you're crazy if you actually think LeBron is the goat I mean forget MJ when did LeBron ever pass Kobe? And before you comment trying to say otherwise do your research and you'll see why I say LeBron isn't even top 5. MJ, Kobe, bird, kareem, magic and Duncan all make a team better than LeBron would.
Yap yap and some more yapping…saying Lebron got shutdown by JJ hates proves u just talk in narratives and not reality…and looking at your comment the only basketball reason u have was the fact that he is 4-6 bc all the other stuff u said is clearly based in emotion and not facts bc Lebron has taken accountability multiple times and the coaches fired narrative is literally not true but again u just like narratives and not facts…but if it’s based on finals record then that means bill Russell is the goat…so why r u stating MJ is the goat? So keep trying there buddy
It's funny you list the attributes in the thumbnail - "best career" "best numbers" "best prime" "most skilled" but you list those under different players. All should be above Jordan with only perhaps 'most skilled' being a debate between him and Kobe. Jordan literally has the most accolades on his career resume. He won more stuff than any of those guys and he did it IN HALF THE TIME. So that goes to MJ. Jordan also has the best numbers. Best scorer (easily), best all around stats as defined by advanced metrics such as BPM, PER etc. He is #1 all time in all of those. Despite LeBron's longevity, he only sits in two top five career totals. Jordan played half as long and is also top five in two career total categories. He is also top five in two per game categories. LeBron does not feature in ANY top five in those categories. So much for his longevity advantage....in fact it's more of a hindrance. So again, that goes to MJ. Best prime? Well, that's already under MJ as well it should be. Most skilled? As I said, only Kobe has a case against Jordan. This folks is why he is the GOAT...
Most skilled ever is mj , period... kobe doesnt have the fadeaway variations mj had . That man is called black cat " air " They said he couldnt shoot 3s , look what he did to portland in the finals. The original always has details the replica doesnt have 🤷♂️
Not true, even MJ knows Kobe was more skilled. Kobe is a better shooter, has better footwork, has a better handle, higher IQ and so much more. You MJ meat riders are hilarious and this is coming from someone with a pfp of MJ’s 3 rings.
5 condition to be a Goat ! 1) min 5 NBA Rings, ( because you had 5 finger and it only looks good with 5 rings ) 2) 3 x MVP for all stars game ( for those who say their team is lousy, example Charles) 3) Represent USA and always brought back only GOLD ! 4) Slam Dunk or 3 points ( what you don't have either ? what your X factor ? ) 5) Of all top 75 .. Do you have at less 10 players calling you the Goat ? I can only think of 2, MJ and Kobe ( Kobe maybe not so for last condition )

THE CASE FOR JORDAN AS THE GOAT (OR BEST SINCE 1980): 1. Jordan statistically better than Bron. Jordan even more statistically better when adjusting to how difficult those stats are in their eras 2. Jordan far better in the late game clutch time of playoff games 3. Jordan has 2 more titles in 2/3's the seasons 4. Given their team odds, LeBron should have won more title than Jordan yet Jordan won 2 more. Pre playoff odds have Jordan winning 3.5 title and LeBron winning 3.8 titles. Yet Jordan won 6 and LeBron won 4
Truth is… only 1 statistic should be important in who is the GOAT… that’s winning percentage… the number 1 is Magic… second is Bird… I think Magic had a better team… with Kareem and Worthy… so I think Bird is number 1!
you was doing good when u got to Bron leading the cavs to the playoofs when they didnt have no reason to be there. 07 when they went to the finals they played 2 teams with 41-41 record and they had a better record than both. didnt see a come til ecf in Detroit .. and i cant say when he has less talent he finds a way to make it work. when only once he made it work that was in 07. the other times he had a clear team advantage. and he threw up a big stinker in 2011 after being up 2-0 and might i add he was the one that let the team down. everything else is spot on in yr video
Jordan had by far and away the most cinderella carrer with his 6 finals with 6 fmvps for sure better then karems even tho kareem has better awards or rather more of them but jordans carrer is legit a book story with a perfect ending in 98 (altough his wizard stint does somewhat ruin it but we all have a secret agreement to ignore it and not let it tarnish mj carrer) there are ofc holes in his career like his 2 year stint in baseball his weak finals competiton and an over all weak era(in his finals runs 91-98) him not beating the peak dynastys off the 80s but rather getting his prime after they fizzle out and another thing is that his team was argubly the best supporting cast off all time with names like scottie the best robin in my opinion deniss argubly the goat rebounder and among the greatest defenders, harper, kukoc, armstrong… but besides these thing jordan doesn’t really have an infunce over he has basically as good of a carrer you could hope for

wilt is easily the best hands down. . people always diminish the 60s far more, and don't talk about how rules were called, , that goes for both russ and wilt. they also don't talk about how wilt was asked to not score anymore afettr 7 yaers. othewise he would have 13 scoring titles, and have averaged 38-40 ppg career, or how he did not have a three po0int line. MJ scored 529 3s adding 529 points to his total and when you divide that , wilt still had the most ppg ever period. and the plyaoffs, they always had to face the greatest defensive dynasty in the history of the game. so of course it would be hard for his numbers to go down. he scored more points in a playoff game in regulation than MJ did. wilt was stronger, faster and more versitile than lebron. wilt was a better blocker and rebounder than russel. they did not countblocks or steals otherwise wilt would easly have more double double/trile doubles etc.. than anone in all caegorie hands down in both regular and post season. onig back to the other oint, becasue there was no 3's defenses were able to be much tigherer to double. triple an deven quadrule team wilt. een more so in te playoffs. wilt has 72 records that are 50 year an doing . but if you ocunted the blocks and steals and the things that go with it, he would have 100-130 records they made several rules to STOP wilt from dominating and sitll did more than anyone by far ever. including rules that do not allow you to jump from the free throw line on free throws, offensive toal tending, defensive toal tending, inbouniding. plus they dind't call like 80 percent of the gouls commited against wilt otherwise they would not get a game finished. and yet wilt never fouled out. everything in the 60s for MJ, lebron, kobe, and pretty much anyone pos t1985 would constnatly be called for travles/ palming, double dribbles cross overs etc. shaq would have founled out offensively in the first quarter every game. they wore chuck taylors, had awful hotlels and travel accomodations, they didnt make millions of dollars no contant doctors aevery second also, the 48 minutes a gmae and fast pace, maes it MORE impressive that he scored points like that. and had more rebounds. because as you tire out the less efficent you are. with only 8 temas you had a much higher concnetration of the best players night in and night out and wilt also held back a lod because he literally was worried he would break people's arms

LeBron is nothing but a good NBA player he's no king😂😂😂

The fact that Kareem had a 20 year career, won 6 championships, won his first championship in his 2nd year in the league, and won his last chip in the 2nd to last year of the league is insane. Kareem shouldn't have even been playing in the 80s decade and yet he played to the very last year.
Kareem was already into his peak years while at UCLA, and apart for his rebounding, remained there through the 1986-87 season.

Tim Duncan should have a case
He never peaked offensively higher than any of those players mentioned.
As goat?? Cmon dude be real. Top 10 I agree but not much higher than 10 if anything
He did everything so his team could win even took less money so they sign more players boom a case right there
Top 20 maybe
@mikeprolas2027 And he still didn't peak higher offensively than any of those players, and taking less money didn't get him more rings than Kobe.
Kobe 🐐

You need to also understand that MJ's 10 scoring titles do come with context
he took allot of shots.
i mean no duh, if ur gonna take alot of shots, and ur talented as fuck, and you got micheal jordan efficency, your ppg average will be high
but kobe and lebrons prime were during such a tougher era to score in, as mjs regular season monster averages were in the mid 80s and the cusp of the 90s, which had rules that fit mj better then the rules fit kobe and bron
the real kicker is mj took more shots then lbj for example, and in the first 10 real seasons they played (mj was injured year two) lebron actually had more points per shot (unless I messed up my math) especially when he was around 2 3 or 4 in total ppg
thats no fault to mj or bron of course, but I feel that those ten scoring titles need to carry a little less weight then most people assume they mean
My top 10 goats..Mike..kareem..wilt..Lebron..magic..Russell..bird..shaq..kobe..Timmy...Honorable mentioned..Big o..dr j..dream..baylor.
How do you stat pad defensive rebounds lol
@@bladefox5082 By not guarding anyone so you can get close to the rim for the rebounds.

They always make excuses to put Wilt down, but Shaq was bigger than every one. And he fouled people. Never averaged 40. Definitely not 50😂
Shaq probably could have done that if he took 30 shots a game, they played at a 120 pt pace, he was playing guys like darrall imhoff and his teammates fouled the other team on purpose to get him more possessions which wilt admitted his team did.
Tim Duncan is the most overrated player ever and its not close....take away ALL that help coach on down and hes top 50 tops
I mean , case closed after you listed off mjs accomplishments and career . And his intangibles and mindset unmatched . He wasn’t scared of the moment . Slam dunk titles , all star MVPs ,turned Nike into an empire and brought attention to the nba globally , goated .
Right. If you are being unbiased, it's not even a question
Jordan one of two players and only one to do it twice: 100 blocks 200 steals 300 assists 300 rebounds.
You forgot that Wilt also won three straight MVP's.
Despite the fact that he played against the second most HOF player at his position(only behind kareem and parish, which he played 7 years less than both) He PLAYED THE MOST TOTAL GAMES against another hof center….see list below lol
(mind you these are their barefoot heights, in the modern NBA you would add 1-2 inches to their height, as players have been measured in their shoes only after 1977)
C-Bill Russell: 6’10” HOF (143 games played in 9 seasons)
C-Kareem Abdul Jabbar: 7'2" HOF(27 games played in 4 seasons)
C-Willis Reed: 6,10” HOF(72 games played in 8 seasons)
C-Walt Bellamy: 6'11" HOF(100 games played in 11 seasons)
C-Artis Gilmore: 7'2" HOF
C-Bob Lanier: 6'11" HOF(17 games played in 3 seasons)
C-Nate Thurmond: 6'11" HOF(47 games played in 4 seasons)
C-Bob McAdoo: 6’10” HOF (5 games played in 1 season)
C-Elvin Hayes:6’9 “ HOF (22 games played in 4 seasons)
(Wes Unseld is also a HOF center but he is 6’9) (26 times in 5 seasons)
(Dave Cowens is also a HOF Center/Forward but he is 6”9)(17 games played in 3 seasons)
(Connie Hawkins is also a HOF Forward/ center but he is 6”9)(31 games played in 4 seasons)
(please note there are more HOF PF who guarded and were guarded by wilt chamberlain but the majority of them are 6’8 to 6’9)
SO THATS 574 OUT OF 1045…WHICH TRANSLATES TO 54% OF WILTS GAMES BEING PLAYED AGAINST ANOTHER HOF CENTER…
@@JohnnyRodgers3 he also played against Darrall Imhoff on March 2nd, 1962. who is that? good question.
@@scottb3034 I know who that is .... 6ft10 barefoot athletic Center who was an all solid player...he also made an all star team I
believe..what's your point? Good question
@@JohnnyRodgers3 He wasn't even the Knicks starter and averaged 6 boards, 6 pts and 3 fouls a game in 20 minutes.
Lebron didn't deserve that last fmvp AD did smfh
Funny...MJ doesn't seem to care. The LeMedia questions his numbers, awards etc, no rebuttal. If he didn't do the Last Dance, he wouldn't have said or did anything for 21 years. LeBron better keep playing or multiple people will pass his numbers. Luka? Joker? Wemby?
"Mj doesn't seem to care", the timing of the last dance proves he cares, like a lot

Quit comparing Kobe to MJ. One led his team to six championships and himself to eleven total MVP's while the other led his team to two championships and was a sidekick for three more while garnering only three total MVP's. The same for Kareem and Lebron as they led their teams to three and four championships respectively (Kareem was a sidekick for the last three) while getting themselves eight total MVP's each. It's not even close.
Kareem was never a sidekick and if you swap magic and birds rosters bird is the undisputed goat

Kobe shouldn't be THEE GOAT in anyones list, but he is easily a top 5 player
Based on what? One MVP and 2 FMVPs!? Kobe has never led a championship team in win shares, be it in the finals or the regular season.
What exactly puts Kobe in the top 5?
@jacoblee5796 If you're bringing up win shares, you're probably not even 30 yet. He won back to back titles with Pau Gasol as his only all-star teammate. He's beat the teams that took Lebron out of the playoffs. He's led a decade in scoring when league wide averages were below a hundred points and still wound up top 4 all time in points scored. And he has scored over 600 points in a single post-season 3 different times (he is the only player to do that)
@@H3roin1620 I’m in my mid 40’s there buck wheat, I seen it all. Don’t down play how good Gasol was or the rest of that team. At the time many considered the Lakers to have the best front court in the NBA. Their size was their strength, plus they had depth.
@jacoblee5796 how does this prove anything I said to be false. And how did I downplay Gasol? I said he was the only all-star Kobe had. Where is the lie? You're the one downplaying Kobe's greatness and praising Lebron for winning a glorified exhibition Disney championship and 2 other rings alongside 2 all-nba teammates HOFers and probably the third best SG as far as career and accomplishments go. Kobe, oh, btw, only has more 50-point games than Lebron and KD combined, is 2nd all-time in 60-point games, was guarded by the best players, and was guarded by the best players. Meanwhile, Lebron was guarding KCP in his playoff series 😆 🤣
@@H3roin1620 You said Kobe was a top 5 player all time. I brought up facts that proved he wasn’t. Like never leading a championship team in win-shares, only having one MVP and only having 2 FMVPs.

Not the most skilled, that’s def Kobe-Durant
MJ was never more athletic than LeBron James
I'm a little biased in favor of Jordan, because I grew up mostly in the 80s and because of Jordan's perfect titles record (6 titles, no defeats) and his propensity to take it to a new level in the playoffs.
I've long had the opinion, however, that you can't really compare players from different eras due to several reasons, esp. 'societal.'
When I do review LOTS of old black and white footage of all sports and compare to every era since.....my impressions are that MANY black and white 'old school' athletes were great for their time.......and would STILL be great in today's era.......be it boxers, basketball players, baseball players, football players, etc.
I, perhaps 'partially biasedly' believe that by a slim margin the 80s was likely the best era in NBA history followed very closely by the 90s.....
false, you can Definitely compare players of different eras. Here's how--thru Kareem who played against Wilt and also played for twenty years against everyone, in the 70s and 80s
and nobody thought Russell Chamberlain or Kareem really outdid the other.
MJ, Kobe, bird, kareem, magic and Duncan all make a team better than LeBron would.
fax when did lebron ever pass Kobe to even be compared to MJ, i got lebron 3 all time
Yap yap and some more yapping…saying Lebron got shutdown by JJ hates proves u just talk in narratives and not reality…and looking at your comment the only basketball reason u have was the fact that he is 4-6 bc all the other stuff u said is clearly based in emotion and not facts bc Lebron has taken accountability multiple times and the coaches fired narrative is literally not true but again u just like narratives and not facts…but if it’s based on finals record then that means bill Russell is the goat…so why r u stating MJ is the goat?

This folks is why he is the GOAT...
kobe doesn't really have a case. he wasn't the shot blocker jordan was or stealer or rebounder and not nearly as efficient.
Kobe should never be in the list. Ever.
If that’s the case Bron shouldn’t be here either 😂
Most skilled ever is mj , period... kobe doesnt have the fadeaway variations mj had . That man is called black cat " air "
They said he couldnt shoot 3s , look what he did to portland in the finals.
1) min 5 NBA Rings, ( because you had 5 finger and it only looks good with 5 rings ) 2) 3 x MVP for all stars game ( for those who say their team is lousy, example Charles)
3) Represent USA and always brought back only GOLD !
4) Slam Dunk or 3 points ( what you don't have either ? what your X factor ? )
5) Of all top 75 .. Do you have at less 10 players calling you the Goat ?
I can only think of 2, MJ and Kobe ( Kobe maybe not so for last condition )
Wilt Russell Kareem bird magic kobe Jordan lbj not a bad list of all time greats with a combination of offense and defense this team is the hard to defeat facts 40 rings enough said
If magic johnson could have kept it in his pants he would have had 20,000 assists and totally could have averaged a triple double for a few seasons, maybe even scoring a quadruple double
You should do this for QBs because the assume it’s Brady because of the rings. But look at how they play today! Yea thank Marino!
MJ Kob Magic Bird Kareem
Russell had 5 to 8 hall of Fame teammates every season
The total package is the Skill that rings the bell as the Winner)/ MJ reign Supreme in limited time his NBA resume is insane to the brain*
THE CASE FOR JORDAN AS THE GOAT (OR BEST SINCE 1980):
1. Jordan statistically better than Bron. Jordan even more statistically better when adjusting to how difficult those stats are in their eras
2. Jordan far better in the late game clutch time of playoff games
3. Jordan has 2 more titles in 2/3's the seasons
How is Kobe the most skilled when his moves are almost exactly like Jordan’s?
you was doing good when u got to Bron leading the cavs to the playoofs when they didnt have no reason to be there.
Jordan had by far and away the most cinderella carrer with his 6 finals with 6 fmvps for sure better then karems even tho kareem has better awards or rather more of them but jordans carrer is legit a book story with a perfect ending in 98 (altough his wizard stint does somewhat ruin it but we all have a secret agreement to ignore it and not let it tarnish mj carrer) there are ofc holes in his career like his 2 year stint in baseball his weak finals competiton and an over all weak era(in his finals runs 91-98) him not beating the peak dynastys off the 80s but rather getting his prime after they fizzle out and another thing is that his team was argubly the best supporting cast off all time with names like scottie the best robin in my opinion deniss argubly the goat rebounder and among the greatest defenders, harper, kukoc, armstrong… but besides these thing jordan doesn’t really have an infunce over he has basically as good of a carrer you could hope for
HARD TO MAKE A CASE FOR KOBE WHEN HE DOESNT EVEN CRACK THE TOP 10 for lots of analysts, fans, players, etc.JORDAN (according to majority)IS WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE SO WE WILL MAKE THESE VIDEOS TILL THE END OF TIME TO KEEP DEBATES INTERESTING BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DISCUSS
Jordan is my goat.
Each goat?? There's only 1 goat genius!
There is a reason he left MJ as the anchor of the video
MJ is the GOAT 🐐
I believe MJ is the goat but saying lebron doesn’t belong in this conversation is just straight up hate or you don’t know basketball.
wilt is easily the best hands down. . people always diminish the 60s far more, and don't talk about how rules were called, , that goes for both russ and wilt. they also don't talk about how wilt was asked to not score anymore afettr 7 yaers. othewise he would have 13 scoring titles, and have averaged 38-40 ppg career, or how he did not have a three po0int line. MJ scored 529 3s adding 529 points to his total and when you divide that , wilt still had the most ppg ever period. and the plyaoffs, they always had to face the greatest defensive dynasty in the history of the game. so of course it would be hard for his numbers to go down. he scored more points in a playoff game in regulation than MJ did. wilt was stronger, faster and more versitile than lebron. wilt was a better blocker and rebounder than russel. they did not countblocks or steals otherwise wilt would easly have more double double/trile doubles etc.. than anone in all caegorie hands down in both regular and post season.
onig back to the other oint, becasue there was no 3's defenses were able to be much tigherer to double. triple an deven quadrule team wilt. een more so in te playoffs.
wilt has 72 records that are 50 year an doing . but if you ocunted the blocks and steals and the things that go with it, he would have 100-130 records
they made several rules to STOP wilt from dominating and sitll did more than anyone by far ever. including rules that do not allow you to jump from the free throw line on free throws, offensive toal tending, defensive toal tending, inbouniding. plus they dind't call like 80 percent of the gouls commited against wilt otherwise they would not get a game finished. and yet wilt never fouled out.
everything in the 60s for MJ, lebron, kobe, and pretty much anyone pos t1985 would constnatly be called for travles/ palming, double dribbles cross overs etc. shaq would have founled out offensively in the first quarter every game.
they wore chuck taylors, had awful hotlels and travel accomodations, they didnt make millions of dollars no contant doctors aevery second
also, the 48 minutes a gmae and fast pace, maes it MORE impressive that he scored points like that. and had more rebounds. because as you tire out the less efficent you are.
with only 8 temas you had a much higher concnetration of the best players night in and night out
and wilt also held back a lod because he literally was worried he would break people's arms
and so he had by far the most impact on the game ever. if not for wilt, bsketball wuld have died out
oh and for MJ they created and called rules to HELP him dominate.
Mostly good list, but how did "King Brick" and "NOT CLUTCH" Kobe make it there? I do love Kobe's work ethic (#2 all time IMO), but he didn't have the SKILL to reliably back the attitude up.
