@@Torie988 It may have been the same video but I remember Jordan saying shooting threes takes away from his game, which was a slasher. I know it's a what if, but if he shot more threes back then, didn't retire in 93 there's no telling where his stats would be, let alone his championships. Not including 98 when he retired again. He still had a lot of good basketball left.
Mane, growing up in Jordan's era, you watched just to see what he was gonna do next. Then when you hear the story behind why.......it makes it hit so different.

Keep up the good work… nice seeing a young man looking back and actually giving old players their flowers instead of finding reasons to throw shade. Good luck with your channel I’ll keep up with ya as long as you’re grinding.
Why should he let a 18-19 year old have it? The dude was talking shit, you gotta spank them to teach them a lesson. MJ didn't walk up to him talking his shit. The shrug game, magic explained it all, he said the night before he and MJ had dinner, MJ explained what he planned to do with shooting those 3's. So the day of the game he hits them all, and the shrug was to magic to let him know even he was amazed. Just found that out like two months ago and I recorded that finals (well nearly all bulls games from 1990 until the 98 finals (highest rated finals and game 6 of that finals was the highest rated finals game to this day because we all believed that was MJ's last game as a bull.)
Muggsy was a great NBA player. Many people don't know he was a part of Dunbar HS team that went undefeated for two years and we're the #1 Team in the nation.
BS. You never heard Bird stories. Kobe backed up his words often too. Magic did it. To say Mike the only one is something a new basketball fan would say
MJ learned that trash talk from watching how effective it was for Bird to mentally annihilate his competition before the game even started...and just like Dominique Wilkins said about Bird..."if you weren't ready to play against people like that, you got embarrassed". The same thing applies to MJ...except MJ treated his own teammates like that, demanding that they up their game at all costs. But NONE of those teammates would give back ANY of their 6 rings/2 three-peats in order to have had a "nicer MJ" as a teammate!!!
Steve Kerr never threw any punches back!! Kerr got his respect because he didn't just shut up let Jordan do or say whatever he wanted and at some point in the scrimmage Jordan had enough and punched him for which Phil Jackson kicked Jordan out of practice and sent him home! In the way home Jordan called the Bulls staff to get Kerr's phone number so he could call and apologize for hitting him. That's why Kerr said that incident is was a huge reason for getting his respect from Jordan..
In the 80s and 90s I regularly wondered if both Bird and Jordan were human. They both just seemed other wordly to me.. But, Jordan did always seem a little Too competitive though...
Hey Man, That’s Why US Old Heads Say MJ Is The GOAT !!!!!! Cause LeBron Doesn’t Have That In Him !!!!!! That Killer Instinct That MJ Had And Jordan Took Everything Personal !!!!!!!!!! LeBron Just Wants To Be Liked and He Doesn’t Have That Killer Mentality In Him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These examples are why Lebron should not be anywhere in the GOAT debate. I mean c'mon, the man has airballed multiple freethrows. Multiple! Show me MJ ever doing that.
@@Torie988 Don’t know what the record is now, but an interesting addendum to the shrug game was that in a later interview, Jordan explained why he rarely shot threes. First and foremost, it was just boring. Secondly, it makes things unnecessarily difficult. When you establish a pattern of shooting threes, you make it really easy for the defence. All your defender has to do is put a hand in your face and live with the result. The big man in the paint just has to watch for a potential rebound. Anyone else in the perimeter can just stop and take a breather… often times as soon as they see you get the ball because they know how the next seven to ten seconds are going to go: you’re going to get to your spot in three seconds, shoot, the ball’s going to fly for about two seconds, and it’ll be at least another two to three seconds before they get it off a rebound pass or more if it’s an inbound. Jordan wanted his opponents to be worn down so he played in a way that always told defenders they had to keep moving and couldn’t stop to take a breath while the clock was running. Plus, they call him Air Jordan for a reason.
Every like on the video is a Happy Birthday Wish!!
