i honestly learn just as much watching it when i see struggle on videos, like trying different baits or styles. it's also good to show tht even guys/gals tht are good at musky fishing have tough periods i think it helps with newer anglers.
Thanks for the vid! Decided to pass on the Fox this year, saw a few in NW WI for opener instead. Looking forward to some top water and night fishing coming up!
last monday, 13 hours the only follow i got was the only cast with a bucktail i brought in where i was not ready for a good figure 8... and i had 1 big hit, t-boned a possiedon, from the top, where there are no hooks. you can tell i really set the hook good because the bait is shredded lol. next day, 9 hours, 1 short followed in a bucktail and chased it in the figure 8 for 10 full 8s then just swam off. gotta love muskie fishing.
Ahh, good! Just what I need at the moment. A nice relaxing muskie video rather than the riot videos I've been watching. Haven't watched it yet but I know it will be good.
Tell your buddy with the DeLong Killer Eel that I met the guys who made it on a week long trip to Crow/Kakagi Lake near Nestor Falls Ont. This was 2002 just before my late wife got sick. 2 guys owned it. One was older say in his late 40 early 50 and the other was a kid in his early 20. I think the older guys name was Ed. Can't remember the young guys name. If I remember right Ed had a heart attack and died. That's why the company went out of business.
James Herald lol. It's very flattering that you think the crowds are my fault. No complaining here, I know how busy it is, and would he with or without my UA-cam heroism.
@James Herald Well feel free to continue to comment on any of my videos. In fact, give them a thumbs down, if you'd like. The UA-cam algorithm counts each interaction (comment, thumbs up, thumbs down) as a positive thing. It shows interaction with the audience, regardless if that interaction is positive or otherwise, and will reccomend it to more people which translates into more views. So, thank you for the help! I appreciate your support 😁

John Hammell Nelson That's a very good point! Sometimes more can be learned from our failures than from our successes! Thanks for watching!

Blake Johnson You are quite welcome! I'm definitely looking forward to a bucktail and topwater bit coming up soon!
You didn't get skunked, you're just getting the bad days out of the way early in the season. 😀 Enjoyed the video.
Outside with Tom I like that way of looking at it! Thanks for watching!
You finished your day as good as mine went. Nice chatting with you out there.
Trevor Olson Nice talking to you as well dude!
Don't hang your head. Keep plugging away. Big slumpbusters are the funnest fish to catch 👍🎣
you'll get em next time guys.. think your new PB is awaiting you, Brian
Ron Aeschbacher I hope so! We're going to keep trying!

Hot Ramen That sucks dude! Our time will come, hopefully sooner rather than later!

The Lonesome Fisherman I will be certain to let him know that! He and I will be fishing the Fox again at the end of the week!
Good luck on the Fox
Hi Brian, I was just wondering what type/size leader you throw your twitch baits on?
William Michlig I just use a 10" 130 lb fluoro leader from Stealth Tackle.
drone shot under the bridge...very nice
Andrew Olson Thank you! I thought it turned out pretty nicely. Glad somebody else thought so too!
Just keep chucking, it will happen, my Spring has been nothing but peaks and valleys, very little in between.
Matt Vavroch Fishing I'm sure I'll bump into a dumb one sooner or later 😁
Yeah, but it was a nice catfish 😁. At least it is finally open season up there ! More musky water to experience ... thanks for the video !
Curt Adams Yes it was! Despite the difficulties I'm having catching one, I'm excited for the upcoming season! Thanks for watching bud!
If a glidebait catches catfish maybe stinkbait will get a muskie?
@@AnglingAnarchy You're welcome Brian.
Do you ever come down to Indiana?? There is no closed season.
Bigger fish are on the way Brian, referring to muskies, although the catfish was cool. Nice video.
Mitchell Genz I sure hope so! Trying the Mad chain in the morning, hopefully one will finally cooperate!
There is always trolling. You get more cats that way.
That Nathan guy is one sexy beast!
Andrew Indeed!
Wannabe UA-cam hero posting vids of 50+ inch fish on the Fox then complaining about the number of boats out???
James Herald lol. It's very flattering that you think the crowds are my fault. No complaining here, I know how busy it is, and would he with or without my UA-cam heroism.
@@AnglingAnarchy A piece of the collective problem
James Herald, jealous bro?
@@MadisonAngling Ha. Another youtube allstar.
