It's a modal thing. If you keep the scale exactly the same but really focus on another tonal center -- say, if you're playing in C major but you try your damnedest to make it sound like another key -- you'll end up with a really cool and weird series of altered scales. It's common in genres that experiment with weird notes like blues, jazz, metal, and prog rock.
If something is in C major (also called ionian), it's also in:
D dorian (sounds like the minor key but tends to be more "extroverted")
E phrygian (somewhat common in heavy metal)
F lydian (sounds new-agey and trippy due to the flatted fifth)
G mixolydian (Common in more "bluesy" music)
A aeolian (otherwise known as the regular minor key)
B locrian (sounds gross mostly)
For example, Mastodon's "Seabeast" is in a phrygian mode, the intro of Rush's "YYZ" is in locrian, and Guns n' Roses "Sweet Child of Mine" is in mixolydian.
Do the same thing but with your face!!

+Expression It's about the volume being too high within the video and the sound being unexpected. You'd have to expect the sound coming andknow when to turn down the volume in the video. Audio quality also has nothing to do with it. These are usually jokes anyways.
