www.stuller.com/products/53-1400/?groupId=22963&fromRAC=true&recommendationSource=SiteSearchRAC You should polish it well before using it.
Thank you Steve.
Such skill. Do you happen to sell that tool?
Very interesting!
Did you vacuum cast this ring first before you put the stone in?
thank you for sharing! would you suggest a good vise like the one you are using?
Well worth having in my opinion. I use mine a lot!
Steve Howard is there a specific one you would suggest?

Steve Howard thank you! i had a feeling you would say grs. they are top notch, saving up for one now.
I like this punch, Where to buy/find? Thanks, so VERY helpful.
ua-cam.com/video/oUjuZYM8YBw/v-deo.html A punch for stone setting can be made by modifying a punch from a hardware store.
I would imagine that sellers like Rio Grande, Otto Frei, etc. would have them.
This is super helpful, Steve; thanks! One question. When you are going around the bezel in small increments, do you overlap the previous section or not?
Yes I do overlap or as I would put it, blend the punched areas.
Thank you! I am assuming this bezel is cast with ring not made separately then soldered onto ring?😁 Is this what they call a bishops ring style?
I believe it could be referred to as a bishop's style ring. It is cast as one piece.
