The female pilot that was shown in the beginning of the video next to the male pilot is currently a general in the Air Force. I got to meet her in my high school, it was an awesome experience. I believe she was the first female fighter pilot for the USAF.

As a KC-135 crew chief, we frequently escorted fighters over the ocean. They would top off their tanks about every 30 minutes, as a precaution, and fly in formation off our wingtip. Every once in a while, they would disappear, to get some privacy, to relieve themselves. I always felt sorry for the pilots being strapped into that cockpit for hours, while we were walking around, sleeping, and using the facilities on the tanker.
I did 20 years in the Army and every convoy we had we just used a Gatorade bottle. We had a female . 50 gunner use a Gatorade bottle and a funnel while riding turret. Nobody thought it was odd at the time.
I have spent hundreds of hours in light aircraft. There were two items on sale in most pilot shops that are actually really useful. One is called a pilots range extender and was a funnel attached to a tube attached to a plastic bag. The other one was called Jill's john which was a special shaped plastic device attached to a tube attached to a plastic bag. They were not expensive and the newest version has a gel in the bag
Funny little story though. On one of my trips to the desert in a C-5 there was a port o potty strapped to a pallet at the front of the plane behind the cockpit. Two hours in to the flight, one of the pilots comes out of the cockpit to use the bathroom and steps in the port o john. About a minute later we hit some horrible turbulence and the shitter starts rocking and one of the cargo straps breaks and the whole thing pitches forward on the door. Luckily he was the only one to have used it and was only covered in his own turds and several gallons of blue goo.
