Good to see you out again. Careful winding your awning out without dropping the legs, they recommend only extending it about 8 inches, drop the legs then extend further to prevent bending the bracket which fixes it to the van 👍🏼
Ooh, I never thought about that, it feels so small to our other one. Thanks for that though, I’ll make sure I do that in future 👍🏻 Also, I thought I’d subscribed to you already but hadn’t 🤭. Done it now!
Nice mix of driving, chat, music and B roll. Wireless mic is a good call but I am currently happy with the built in mic on the Hero 8 Black. Loved the intro 👍 Edit: must finish watching video before adding comment 🤦♂️ thanks for mentioning us Sue 👍
Haha, ooh mentions are a good way to test whether people actually watch videos then aren’t they! 🤣. Glad you liked the vid. I’m also happy with the in-built GoPro mic for a lot of the time, but have found that as a solo traveller an external mic gives me more variety with camera placement not least while driving & frees me up to wander around without carrying the camera when I’m doing other things. I’d been researching and decided on this one, and am really happy with the quality so far (except for the total loss of sound when I forgot to switch back to camera mic!).
@@LiveforTravel I can recommend ‘Air Photography’ UA-cam channel. He gives great tech product reviews and has done one on this mic that’s what helped me decide. Take a 👀 🙂
Yeah you should try it, sure you’d love it. The pub is so quaint and in a peaceful setting. Also, I’m not sure whether I mentioned this but it’s apparently the oldest inn in Lancashire 🙄😂.
Anthony Gormley's Another Place! Can't wait. I visited while touring the coast. I was quite shocked to find they were anatomically correct! Watching them get engulfed by the sea is very poignant.
Hey we finally got to watch it 😁👍. It’s much harder to keep up with channels when we are on the road. Your van is so smart, chilli looked tasty. Glad you enjoyed the trip ❤️
Hiya, no worries I can imagine how difficult accessing wifi can be on the road for any time. Thanks for watching and commenting though. Safe travels to you both 👍❤️
Looking great we’ll worth getting some tie downs for your canopy just in case the wind gets up. Without them you can get a lot Alf damage to both the canopy and Vanya..
Hi Christina, thanks for watching and commenting. I agree and always peg a couple of pegs in to secure the awning. I do also have storm straps for added protection if its very windy and for any reason I want/need to leave it out, although usually I would wind it in. All the best, Sue 😊👍
An awesome video, I love your natural narration. I particularly loved how you change the angles of the camera whilst you were enjoying your wine. Such an eye for details and great camera angles.
Lovely video. We use a wooden pole cut to size across the rear of the cap area. You could use cupped brackets to sit the pole in. Perhaps a sprung pole might work with a curtain hung from it.
Thanks, it’s good to know what others do. I was initially thinking along the lines of a sprung pole & curtain, but more recently like the idea of a studded attachment - like attaching a few studs to the sides & ceiling then press studding a black out curtain into place so that I wouldn’t need a pole, and could just fold up the curtain when not in use because I don’t really want one of those permanent curtains and rails fitting.
@@CamperVanya i have curtain wire that stretches in between a hook eye on each side of the van above the seats. I was wondering if Velcro strips may be an option worth considering?
Hi Sue 👋 great trip out, I always think the SatNav plays up when you tell them off 😂 looked a lovely place to stopover, great video , keep well CMW 🚶🚶🚶
Well I never knew that the Scotch had van parkups at the back! Its vlogs like this, were you learn something about a place 20 minutes away from your house 🙂 Lovely little pub and during the summer as you probably seen, some great bikes outside. As ever, a really well edited and interesting vlog. Cheers for this one 👍
Glad the weather perked up sue .. ruin looked nice but ruined by that terrible fencing .. no thought went into that ..nice place thou .. cheers Chris & Sam xx
Hi Chris & Sam, thanks for watching and commenting 👍. This was a real good find of a park up for a night and I might go back with friends some time. ATB, Sue x
If you get a chance it’s well worth visiting this gorgeous old pub. No food (other than pies) but other places around to eat I think. I’d like to revisit with a group of friends it would be ideal 👍
Nice pub stop with some history around it. We love Anthony Gormleys work and try and visit his art installations when we can from Mo I Rana to Birmingham. Good video and the sound when driving was good before but is now much clearer. Keep it going.
Great to see you out enjoying Vanya, thankyou for sharing your adventure, it looked very peaceful. Have you watched ‘CamperVan-K’? She’s a full timer, who has just been on an interesting trip with ‘Socks With Sandals’ - both produce great van life content.
It was. In fact too peaceful not to sit out and catch a few rays 😎. Now you mention it, I think our old awning was Fiamma and it just seemed a bit faffier (is that a word? Well it is now). Take care both & thanks for watching and commenting.
What a lovely looking pub. Mic seemed to work well. Ours sounds crap when we're on the road. Keep forgetting to use the external mic! Yep, fencing made it look a mess, such a shame as it looked lovely behind the fencing.
Hiya, thanks for watching & commenting. I forgot to switch back to camera mic hence the silent section 🙄. There’s a lot to think about isn’t there haha. Hope your travels going well, I think I’ve still one to catch up on. Take care.
Nice Vlog 👍 mic sounds better I keep saying I have to upgrade from phone to cam/mic but it’s quite expensive and time consuming when I can do everything on the phone. In my T5 I had a curtain with the wire you use for hanging nets and just 2 loops in each side on the B pillar for stealth camping. That site looked a decent shout too, gotta love a pub stop.
Cheers 👍🏻. You don’t need to upgrade, it depends how you vlog. My problem is being the only one to talk and hold the camera, a mic frees me up for different angles, distances, etc. I still have to watch your van meet up vid. I trust you had a great time?
@@CamperVanya This week no, next week yes! I’ve always wanted a campervan but my husband is not so keen. I’ve decided if I don’t do it now I never will so I have bought a Ford Transit Custom from Wellhouse Leisure in Barnsley and I pick it up on Monday. I can’t wait. We are heading to Wales on Friday for our first adventure. I’ve always driven a VW and initially wanted a T6 but I have three small dogs so need three rear belted seats to secure them. The van I’m getting also has rear sliding seats so I can bring the them forward to travel then move them back when we park up. I’m also feeling confident enough to travel on my own if my husband doesn’t always want to join me. UA-cam is a marvellous thing! 😁
