Dark thought what if Connie's adventures with Steven have already harmed her? There are several examples of her mental state. Connie broke a student's arm for brushing against her reacting like a war veteran rather than a child. In the New Crystal Gems Connie drew her sword when she thought someone had broken into the house. Could her conditioning cause her to harm another human again? This time seriously. Steven Universe Future is about dealing with the psychological consequences of the Gem missions why not include Connie as well?

Really Connie seems like the only character at this point that could actually help Steven. After all, we've seen that throughout the entire show, Connie has been who comforted him at his lowest. Found out about Pink, she researched, was kidnapped by homeworld and got Lars killed, she talk with him about how he actually felt, had to convince an entire race to change, she was sat beside him. Wouldn't surprise me if Steven ends up deciding that his future is to go be with Connie.
