I really appreciate your style of teaching and am currently taking your course. I wish you would write a how to manual for Affinity Designer. Thanks again for all that you do!
AWESOME. I have searched for days to find something like this and all results before finding this one were for Procreate. I figured there had to be a way to do it in Affinity. Thanks so much for sharing!
Very cool. I didn't know we could add nodes to the warp. This will be helpful. I've already used the warp feature for work, and it was a hit. I actually made waving text in an animated GIF. So simple, but it melted a few peoples' minds. LOL! Thanks for another great tutorial. All the best to you all!
Affinity Photo doesn't have the exact same tool as the one I used in this video, but it does have a Mesh Warp Tool, so I think you could do something similar to this effect in Affinity Photo. 🙂
Great tutorials as always. Is there a way to move each point, adjusting text like you did in 3:59 using Affinity Photo? I want to put text into a shape (not framing). or is this feature only available on Designer?
I like very much your tutorials, they are really clear, helpful and well spoken (it's my obsession). I am practicing with your video How to Make Curved Text, and I wonder what version of Designer are you using? Or what OS, I'm using Win 11 and your interface has more tools on the left toolbar, and most of all my interface has no Warp tool on the right Layers panel. I tried every kind of configuration, but no result. Can you hel me? Thanks a lot, and keep "tutorializing"
A lot of new tools (like the Warp Tool) were added in Affinity Designer Version 2. Unfortunately this is a paid upgrade, so you'll need to go to the Affinity website and purchase it if you want it. But if you do want to buy version 2, I recommend waiting until Black Friday for a sale. 😊
I shouted, "No! Don't squish! No squishy font!" But, then I kept watching and saw what, why, when, and how you did what you did. Great job! Thank you! Big help!
WOW... another fantastic tutorial... you're a reference I come back to each time I need something. I still can't figure out how I can create “my own handwriting“ and add it to an image... If you have any idea, it would be very welcome (it's for creating greeting cards, for example, that look like they've been hand written... so no two same letters will be exactly the same as with calligraphy fonts)
The warp tools are only available in Affinity Designer Version 2, so if you are using Version 1.10, you won't have these tools. And unfortunately, Version 2 is a paid upgrade. Sorry!
@@AffinityRevolution It made me smile to hear Groovy after all the years....I'm 70+ and I last heard it used when I was the age you are now. Bless your awesome soul Ally!!!
I love the new Warp Tools in Affinity Designer! Personally, I think these tools are one of the best updates in Affinity Version 2. 🙂
So is the Warp tool only in the new Affinity Designer?
@@artanddesign3647 Yes, that's correct.
I must have come along at the right time and got V2. So happy to see this is a part of it.
I was looking for type on a path- thanks for clarifying. A little more work but whatever :D
this is my very first affinity tutorial and I have no experience at all in design. I made something ( not so pretty) and I am so happy. Thank you
Great job! 🤗 Affinity is tricky at first, but it gets a lot easier with practice.
Love your tutorials! Currently enjoying your courses and learning a lot. Great presentation and explanation. Thank you.
Thanks so much Jane! 😊

Thank you for the feedback, Melissa! 🙂

Ally does this work for the original Affinity OS?
No, this requires Affinity Designer Version 2.

Hi Ally, is there any short cuts for the warp tool, I cant locate it under layers.
The warp tools are only available in Affinity Designer Version 2, so if you are using Version 1.10, you won't have these tools. And unfortunately, Version 2 is a paid upgrade. Sorry!
I don't have the warp tool
The Warp Tool is only in Affinity Designer Version 2.
How do you fit text to conform to a non linear enveloppe. I suppose you could use the mesh feature but found it difficult to control. Any suggestion?
Found it I guess: ua-cam.com/video/oG3ptu7HLgk/v-deo.htmlsi=owJcl2_hozURvuDJ
Groovy!? If you were my age, I’d say that your age is showing. Haven’t heard that since the 60’s or 70’s! Is it coming back?
Haha I don't know if other people use the word, but I like using it! :)

Is the Warp Tool available in Affinity Designer for iPad?
I can not find the warp tool . Is it in Affinity 2 ?
Yes, the Warp Tool is new to Affinity 2.
There is no stroke option when choose rectangle or any other shapes
ordering page doesn't work
To "click to add a point" in warp you need to wait until you see a squiggly line "~" under your cursor.
one of the feature that still missing to call ad a pro Software, ai is sadly so far away
I can tell you that many people are using affinity precisely because it isn't supporting AI.
@@BillieFingers i agree but, The functionality I was referring to is not related to AI. the video is not related to AI.
Impressive. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad you liked it. 😊
