I remember wanting this so bad as a kid. My friend bought one and I'am glad he did because its more fun to look at then to play with. I guess its a matter of opinion but I liked the high performance racing type rc trucks. I don't even think you can get this Bruiser off the ground without rolling over.
@weblaunchr ok then go replace your daily drivers gears with composite ones. see ho that works out. then go try and tell a pro racer that your new and improved plastic would be a good replacement for his diff gears. i dont think it would happen.
New and Improved? That means made cheaper and priced higher. Example....No more metal trans gears all plastic now (call it what you will they are plastic). Probably not as good as the 85 version i'm sure. But whatever
I am going to buy one soon. But I want a F-350 body kit. The f-350 High Lift looks Awesome!!!(but the wheels and tires are too small) I want to convert the body to a Ford f-350. Can I say F-350 enough? PUT A F-350 on it!!! Just a marketing clue................
this is cool! but why such a price? it almost makes me cry. and PLASTIC gears, reinforced or not, the will not hold up like hardened steel. thats crazy.
Darrell Cummings I Want a Free sample!! LOL ' hi D C... try going to R/C hobby store that might a display sample or hobby show at city convention center local or online
Darrell Cummings For an expensive model it should not have any diecast aluminum it should be 100% aluminum! ' now tamiya ford lift up f-350 and tundra are same models but different plastics bodys... both are 3 materials mostly plastic, aluminuim, some steel
It is so cool that they are bringing back all the oldies, the Hornet, Lunch Box....keep them coming.
Still have my original Bruiser! :)
Man am I old!
you could use a futaba 4pk
@mongdex Optima SE. I've wanted one since I was a kid.
This kit looks amazing to build.
@isamike I would love a Re-release landjump. My dad still has one but we didn't want to resurrect it yet. Hopefully, there will be re releases
Please ask the Tamiya Representatives when are they going to re-release the Blazing Blazer with similar or more improvements...
Thanks for the video. Any chance we have a video showing Bruiser 2012 vs Bruiser Vintage?

@gabehunt2000 This a model duh. Plastic gears in my hi-lift not broken and I've towed me on my skateboard. I think they'll hold up just fine
Awesome! Cant wait to get one and start building! =)
Good unboxing.

@weblaunchr stringer than the originals yes, but not strong in todays standards, you said it yourself, material tech has improved since the 80s
@gabehunt2000 Material tech has moved on since 1985, composite gears are stronger than the originals brass and aluminium.
