    Many good features of the DP-24 are often overlooked, and some folks have no idea of what the unit can really do. It’s important to understand how to configure the machine more to your specifications, because it can make your recording sessions easier. I wanted to share this information with anyone interested and hope it serves useful.

      Hi, I love your videos! But I almost didn't watch this video. Why? Well one common problem I had, when I first searched for my DP-24, (which was very hard to find) many places, will say yeah they got it...only to go to the store, and find out they confused it with the DP-24SD models. But finally I found one used. However, your video here says model DP-24SD. So my question is, does this info apply only for the SD version, or The Original version or both? It's always good to know that info...thanks!

      @PowercoatMusic  Рік тому

      @@mrg466 It applies to both. However, like I said in the presentation, be sure to upgrade your 1st Generation unit to the current firmware version to get all of the features mentioned here. Thanks for watching.

    Hey, powercoat music! As a FL Studio user, I recently (on Thursday Nov. 23, 2023) made the leap and purchased the Tascam DP-32SD. At first, I was a bit skeptical about its usefulness in the year 2023. However, after watching your tutorials, I have realized just how powerful and capable this piece of gear is!
    Your tutorial not only introduced me to all the amazing features of the Tascam DP-32SD but also helped me understand its potential in enhancing my music production workflow. I appreciate your clear explanations and insightful demonstrations. You've undoubtedly played a crucial role in my decision to invest in this device.
    Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise, and for creating content that resonates with music producers like myself. Your tutorial has truly been a game-changer, and I'm looking forward to exploring all the possibilities with my new Tascam DP-32SD. Note! I still love and use FL Studio I just want to try something new. Keep up the fantastic work!

    Hello!! Glad you're still making demos on the Tascam units. I just got my DP-24 a month ago and found all your previous videos and subscribed. I'm still catching up watching all your videos. It's a lot to learn! Bigger learning curve than my Tascam DP-03 and old Tascam 4 tracks. Thank you for making these videos. You're helping a lot of us newbies. Hahaha. ✌

    I've really appreciated your videos (a big THANK YOU), and like yourself I'm a big fan of the Tascam DP (32SD). All my music (an eclectic mix) to my videos on my channel is produced on this machine (only really for my pleasure). There are only one or two things I don't like on the Tascam DP. The faders are a bit too short for live mix down as you easily drop the volume or raise it too much and so longer length faders would be an advantage (I feel). Also the sound is great but quite 'digital'. I don't tend to use the post mastering production (normalization etc). Also the 3 band EQ although easy to use is not always quite right. With all this in mind do you think the Tascam Model 24 would offer me any benefits. Also, can the high Z inputs be assigned to other tracks like on the Tascam 32sd. It's so easy for me to just get the Tascam out and then do a recording and I don't want anything too complicated. I really appreciate any advice - it's not about the money, it about the workflow, and my process is simply to lay down one track after another. I can't see any guitar effects on the model 24 - are there any? Is there any point in combining these systems? Many Thank -Kevin

      MODEL 24 is an analog mixer with better preamps than the DP-24. HI-Z on the DP-24 is only on input H. The MODEL series uses the portasudio worklofw engine, so if you switch you should be familiar with how the MODEL series works. Thanks for watching.

    I was wondering how to get the tascam to register stereo panning from external instruments like the digitone? I have a few drum machines that have built in stereo reverb and delay, but I'm not sure how to get the tascam to register the stereo effects. Is it even possible?

    I'm just getting my feet wet today w/ my new Portastudio. Only 'con', thus far: the internal metronome is kinda useless as configured. If you have it loud enough to hear, its rather penetrating upper-mids will murder your ears. I get that it's designed to hear it clearly, but...ouch! The sound of a hi-hat or a lower 'thump' would have been far better for this. I'll need a different work-around for timekeeping and intros.

    Can you use Midi with the DP-24sd now???

      Not without a Sync-Box. For more information on how to do that watch my presentation "Tascam DP24/DP32 SD Digital Portastudio: SYNC to MIDI (No Hardware Required)", on this channel. Thanks for watching.

    Great content as always, my friend. The pure joy you have for this clearly comes across in your videos. Would love to see one on how you sync the 2 recorders together. I am currently searching for another 1st generation on Ebay.

    Huge thanks from Scotland for making such incredibly informative and helpful videos, especially these ones on the DP24/DP32 models. I've recently started using a DP-32SD and your videos are the first thing I turn to whenever I'm unsure how to use its features.
