She's a very high end dentist and said the difference between the bad looking ones and the best looking ones is all in the lab the dentist uses. @Chey 18 nothing to really worry about I just got my bridge today on my four front bottom teeth however, it was very expensive I’m in the United States and it was $8,000 🤦🏾♀️
Great channel . I got a bridge fitted just under two years ago and it just fell out. I was experiencing pain leading up to it falling out and ended up needing root canal on the two anchor teeth . It’s back in now but he used temp cement ‘just in case ‘ . It cost me 2.5k in Scotland. I’m really worried that she shouldn’t have did this to so large a gap
@@ElectricTeeth hi I’m beginning to question wether my dentist should have encouraged me to get such a large bridge and if it will actually last . It seems to me that an 8 unit bridge is really big and more usual for people to have a 4 unit bridge as maximum? Thank you very much for responding
That is quite large. I wish not to doubt your dental professional and question their judgement, but the size does make it more pone to damage if the bridge is attached to just a single tooth either side.
@@Gloria10828 I have a good friend who is a high end dentist but she's too far away for me to travel to. She looked at my xrays and saw a lot of bone loss on my upper teeth and turned and shifted back. So she recommended removing 4 front teeth and doing a 6-unit bridge. She made it clear that I would only keep the temp for 6 months and then "decide if you want to have it fixed." It didn't make sense because I understood the temps only last that long anyway. I told her I'm terribly afraid of what they'll look like in the end because I see so many that look fake and don't even look remotely natural. She said those are ones from bad (cheap) labs. I pointed her to a website of a guy who is supposedly the best in my county, and as we were talking she was clicking through his photos and was HORRIFIED at his work. She said "Don't go to him! Look at these pictures! They're terrible! You need someone who uses a great lab!" I was actually surprised at how repulsed she was with this supposed "experts" work. In fairness, though, she's really the best and she has worked on celebrities (no way I could afford her.) So, I'm wondering if this has anything to do with what happened to your teeth. Maybe the damage done was from too much taken off your original anchor teeth? None of these youtube dentists, or any of the rest for that matter, will ever admit they use garbage cheap labs! Yet they're charging exorbitant prices as if they're high end dentists.
I had a perm bridge. Thing is doing any impressions while a bridge is in place even perm ones dislodges them out requiring re-cementing. I hate to think what my real teeth under them will even survive if they was ever to get pulled from the bridge a second time. I had to get a impression and when my bridge came out I want it immediately re-cemented back I don't want my real teeth (Whats left) exposed any second longer. The Cement used either was not strong enough or was not enough to keep it in place. Under normal day to day use it has never caused any issues.
I am going thru a implant atm I can not see the benefit of having a bridge over a implant why would you want to damage 2 more teeth . What happen 10 to 15 years down the track when it starts to fail ??
For some it will be about suitability. You need to have sufficient jaw bone to allow an implant to be placed. There also can be issues with the position of the nerves. It can also be a cost issue for some too. Bridges are more affordable.
Its not worth to sacrifice another 2 healthy teeth for the sake of a bridge. Its not so much cheaper either coz u need to pay for 3 crowns. Can have bone graft if not enough jaw bone.
Hello @Electric Teeth , I recently had a 3 unit bridge on lower incissors , I was missing one congentially . My dentist did root canals on my two abutment teeths which were perfectly fine(without any cavity) before cutting them and installing bridge . But I am reading online that it's not compulsary to do . So I am wondering why did he did that , Are there some advantages of it if we do the RCT before ? or did he just do it to make some money ? I am really feeling bad knowing I have destroyed my other fine teeths as well. Would RCT treated teeth cause problem in future ?
This is a conversation you need to have with the dentist to understand why they took this approach. If the teeth were healthy, there shouldn't have been a need to perform a root canal, although they would have had to been cut down for the bridge.
Hi , I am going through the Dental bridge procedure. Could you please let me know what could be complications I can face in the future? How many chances are there for any sort of complications? Mostly how they are treated, I mean treatment is there? What is the longevity of the dental bridge? I am really worried hence thought of asking you. I came across your profile, I am from Bengaluru. Could you please guide me?
There shouldn't really be anything in the way of complications providing you keep up with a good oral care routine. You are generally looking at a life of about 10+ years before the bridge should need replacing. Your dentist should be able to advise if there is anything specific that will affect you personally based on your oral health/teeth/bite etc.
Yes. That was the procedure recommended by my dentist after the loss of a fist upper molar. There was not enough bone for an implant. Eventually a maxillary surgeon suggested a bone graft with a sinus lift procedure. All went well and I could save the two healthy teeth that my dentist recommended to “destroy” with a root canal and shaving for the bridge. The conservation of these two teeth was important for me for the long term.
Sometimes i dream about removing my ceramic bridge it's like my brain want to take it off. One dentist recommended me to kill the nerve of the teeth that are holding my bridge, but my dentist the one who put the bridge on me didn't recommend the nerve kill What should I do? Is killing the nerve of the teeth bad for them?
Unless there is clinical a need for the nerve to be killed off then why would they suggest this? Perhaps the tooth the bridge is attached to was damaged or decayed in some way? Ultimately you want to keep as much as your natural teeth as possible. It sounds a bit of an odd suggestion, particularly as the dentist you used to fit it suggested the opposite. By the sounds of it the bridge is fitted and causing no issues.
Maybe she's saying this for the same reason another person under this video said she needed ROOT CANALS on the anchor teeth after the bridge was already set in place, and she had a lot of pain??? 🤔
I want to get a bridge because I don’t like the downtime for an implant and also the pain/risks. The only issue I’ve heard from others is that bridge doesn’t stop gum recession and face sagging, if I get a bone graft before a bridge will that prevent the gum recession from loss of bone?
Potentially yes, but it will be dependant on a number of factors. This is most certainly best discussed with a dental professional who can advise having assessed your mouth.
A true professional, listen she said a good tooth basically would be damaged to afix a bridge, actually probably two teeth. But. She tells truth. If you get a bridge, make sure aposing teeth are covered completely, don't listen to dentist say if u have any issues come back. By then he's started his or her own practice ect. And ur stuck with what they gave u. Be 100% satisfied. Period. Cause they move on. Very quickly. To start their own practice. Remember your dentists full name and research were he she went. And go and get what u were promised. Sad but I'd record every interaction. Because they will promise the world and mess your teeth up worst than before and move on. This lady at least spoke the truth up front. Tho. Seriously. Dentist will be new, make a mistake and sell it to u. Then say if u have any issues come back. But that dentist moved on. And that practice either want fix issue cause it wasn't in writing or will fix. But make worse cause it's cheaper for them to pull teeth and give parcel. Than fix what was actually promised after u already spent 10's of thousands. Words of wisdom
I'm young and have not taken care of my teeth well have half my left molar missin and sensitive tooth on the other side causing pain, I'm really anxious/nervous about the dentist always have been idk why. Know that if I do go to the dentist now I will need a lot done make me even more nervous not only about the dentist but the price as well and the feeling of having to have a tooth extracted as well as more done.
Hi. I have 2 missing teeth in front due to an accident. I've been wearing a denture and my dentist advised I can get a fixed bridge for it. She said I should get my 2 teeth (that will be the abutment teeth) to undergo root canal first before they put the bridge. I am concerned because my those 2 teeth are both doing good, so why do I have to get it root canaled first? :( In my understanding, root canal is treating the nerves of a tooth. Why do I need it when both of my teeth are healthy? :(
If your teeth are healthy, then there shouldn't be a need normally for them to have a root canal treatment. If there is a risk long they are weak or potentially going to become damaged or decayed etc then there is more reason to do so to ensure longevity of the tooth and fitting. You are best asking your dentist what their reasons are for suggesting this.
I got a 2000 dollar crown five years later it felt off went to get it put back on and they tell you is no good anymore that you need a new one and pay whatever the new price is on the market
I hope you read and reply to this comment. So I had a my bridge, it lasted me 15 years. And it eventually fell off, the new dentist I went to PULLED OUT MY TWO ANCHORING Teeth. I am 41 and I am using a particial denture I absolutely hate it, and my self esteem and confidence is low. So I am going to get a new denture put after one year of dentures, my issue is another dentist I went says I can do either 6 or 7 bridge, I am missing my teeth in the side of my mouth. It is a big gap. Will my denture last another 15 years?
Thanks for the comment and sorry to hear about your situation. Nobody can give a guarantee of how long it will last. Materials. care, the stress it is put under all have an impact on the life of the denture. A 6-7 tooth bridge is quite big and likely has more risk of breakage due to the span. But it is possible it will last. Have you considered implant retained dentures or implants? These are more expensive but could address the strength issue and be more permanent options.
is it a good idea to get a bridge for the next two years until i can get implants instead? i’m too young for implants now but i don’t want to continue using retainers full time because they are really inconvenient and embarrassing. but my dentist keeps trying to deter me by saying it might not work and damage my natural teeth.
Your dentist is right. In most cases to fit a bridge they need to be attached to the teeth either side of the gap and that involves damaging what might be perfectly healthy teeth. If you do this, they will need restorations later on if you replace the bridge with an implant. If you are really that worried speak to your dentist, maybe a partial denture would be an option.
Hlo doctor, im 20 years of old and my 2 upper molar tooths r extracted , right now my face is little sunken, will it be normal if i get a dental bridge.
Sometimes there is no other option, but usually there is. The best option is implants, but not everyone is able to afford implants. Great if you can. The next option is a partial denture, but again not everyone wants dentures, especially if the they’re young. The other option is do nothing, or get the bridge, the grinding down of the abutments goes with the territory. Bridges are an ok choice if they are looked after properly, I’ve had mine for nearly thirty years. Just saying.
@@adamg1234 Hi, I’m sure I must have some, but no other issues. Being diabetic i have to be especially careful with my teeth and gums. My dentist has never mentioned bone loss. I suppose because the pontics don’t rely on the teeth roots to support them, that wouldn’t be an issue? Although saying that there must be some gum shrinkage after all this time.
Is bridgr a better option or an implant???As you said in your video ,that there are chances of denture coming out,an implant won't come out then...So it better to opt for an implant rather than going for a bridge
Yes, an implant is often considered better. It is the closest thing to a real tooth as the titanium implant fuses with the bone. The downside is they are more expensive.
@@ElectricTeeth Thanks for ur informative useful video.... can the food trap in between my teeth be rectified using a bridge??? Plz kindly reply.... Thank U....
Hello doctor, my front tooth got extracted and now i need a bridge (implant is not an option for my condition) but the gap where my extracted tooth was is big in that case do you need to shave all the front teeth or just the two beside the missing tooth?
I have my temporary bridge put in today. It’s honestly painful and my face looks like it’s starting to swell 😭 it’s horrible. It’s 1am and keeping me up
Sorry I am not sure I understand. How many teeth do you have missing? A bridge usually needs to be supported by 2 teeth. 1 either side of the missing teeth.
i dont have a molar, the other molar behind has alot of metal and the teeth forward needs a root canal. in this case the bridge is best alternative right, cause the other tooths are not in perfect condition. thanks for insight dr, also you dont have to do surgery?
It sounds like a bridge might well be an option for you. Best to speak to your dentist and get a personalised recommendation/advice. A bridge requires some preparation of the teeth but it is a routine procedure.
My front tooth is about to come out due to gum desease Im not able to get it seen to as I have an abscess now the tooth is feeling more lose then ever can they be saved or should I try and pull it out
You can potentially, but more often than not there is a visit to assess the issue & plan and then the visit to undertake the work. It depends on the circumstances.
hi i have a few questions. Can the teeth that the bridge are attached will be damaged bcs of long term use since from what i know the enamel needs to be removed right? Should i go for bridge rather than implant if only my first molar is damaged? (beside the price) are there any cons using bridge for long term use since im only 23 :(
Harry. Correct. In most instances (not all) the teeth either side of the gap to be filled, will be damaged to allow the bridge to be fitted. The design of the bridge is such that the teeth either side of the gap are used as anchors for the artificial tooth that will fill the gap. An implant is generally the better long term solution as the bone fuses to the implant that is placed into the jaw. Always take professional advice from a dentist who has actually observed your teeth, but based on your age, an implant would likely be a better long term solution.
@@ElectricTeeth How do you know if it would be a better long term solution if you don't know if he has bone loss? I'm told that extensive bone loss may cause implant failure, even after bone grafting.
Hii please rply I lost my front teeth in accident. I decided to go with bridges. My dentist trimmed my side teeths for cap. After reading all the comments tht implant is the best option. I'm soo scared. Now my teeth is trimmed. If i want implant. I still have a choice? N wht abt my trimmed tooth. Please rply 😭
Now the teeth have been prepped for a bridge you won't have any option other than to have a bridge, or a implant where the missing tooth is and a crown on the prepared teeth. Yes implants are the 'best' but bridges are still very good options and generally far more affordable. You can always change it later, as a bridge will need replacing in years to come.
The tooth itself doesn't usually bleed. The gums around the tooth might but it shouldn't be extensive. All being well your dentist has ensured everything is fine and given the appropriate information to you to ensure the treatment is a success.

Is implants more suitable or a bridge??please answer. My dentist suggested since I am young bridge is more suitable than implants as implants may prove to be troublesome if in future I may need to have a Ct scan or MRI... pls suggest what should I do?
Potentially a bridge is more suitable Tanya if you are young and your mouth/jaw is still developing. As a very rough guide, if you are under 21 years of age. If you are an adult and you have done all your growing 21+ then there are limited scenarios that I am aware of a bridge being a more suitable solution. An implant is designed to mimic the natural tooth and is often considered one of the best replacements to a missing natural tooth. I am not sure why an implant would prove a problem with a CT or MRI scan.
I can not say that I like either choice. There are so many problems with each. Not so sure I would pay money for that. I would probably order one of those fake teeth and call it a day. I mean dentures can cut into your gums, hurt other teeth, implants can cause huge pain. I am seriously not convinced I would want either one.
My mom had her bridge for about 8 years now. She is experiencing tooth aches for a week now. We suspect that the tooth where the bridge was placed had a hole that caused her to have tooth ache. We are not sure tho. We cannot go to our dentist right away because we still have to buy our PPEs.
So I got my bridge 3 weeks ago, my dentist used temp cement so he says to see if I would get adjusted. The pain in one of those shaved tooth was unbearable and came to find out the dentist said he shaved it too much and I needed a root canal. Now I still have temp cement and feel tingling and sometimes pain on the other shaved tooth. Will I need a root canal as well? It’s been a week since the root canal on one of the supporting teeth and I honestly am regretting the whole process since I feel a lot of pain.
We can't comment whether the other will need a root canal. This will need to be inspected by a dentist in person. It is possible given what you say, but it could also be taking a little longer than normal to adjust.
@@Krissy-Amber the saga isn't over yet. I had to switch dentists since i was in so much pain and being ignored by the dentist who started the bridge. Now i am using a temporary bridge so check if there's any underlying infections. Regretting ever starting this.

Dental bridges are nice way to replace full set of teeth it’s better than all on 4 when u have to shave gum and bone done to have it fit . This way it looks natural because you are using your gum no plastic in mouth false teeth look and probably same amount of money $$$ also .
You can't replace a full set of teeth with a bridge. You need a couple of natural teeth to remain so the bridge can be attached to. A denture is required for a full mouth/arch replacement if no natural teeth exist.
Hi, I have 2 tooth missing on right and left, I have gaps too between my teeth. 1 dentist suggest me to go for brace. Another 1 suggest to got for bridge and filling in front upper tooth and have single line brace to keep it in night for support to decrease the gap. Pls suggest a good option
Without an observation ourselves it is not always that easy to say you should do this or that. The 2 suggestions by the dentists are both valid. The bridge option is likely most convenient and affordable.
Ultimately it shouldn't. Depending on your teeth now it may take a few days to essentially adjust but you will be able to speak normally and eat normally very soon after.
@@ElectricTeeth thanks for the information. I had a 4 tooth partial put in. For 3 weeks I could barely talk I sounded like I had marshmallows in my mouth. And my dentist is being difficult about the situation
@@ElectricTeethI've had my top full bridge for 3 months now and I still can't talk right.... There's too much room between my gums and the bridge. I'm so aggravated with my dentist
An implant would be a better solution as more durable and able to withstand the stress/pressures these teeth come under a little better in the long term. A bridge might be possible subject to the condition of 2 and 4. It depends whether they can be repaired and are strong enough to hold a bridge. Best to speak to your dentist and get their professional opinion based on your personal circumstances.
@@ElectricTeeth Thanks! I will consider an implant. Number 4 was root canaled and needs a cap and number 2 is 50/50 with previous fillings close to nerve!
It is a personal decision. In theory yes, it is an option. But if the chip in the other tooth is only small and otherwise healthy, you might not want to adapt the healthy tooth any more to accommodation for the bridge. A a bridge is one of the most convenient, and affordable options to replace missing teeth. You may wish to consider an implant and crown.
If you have 4 lower teeth missing, you are more likely to be offered a partial denture than a bridge. Bridges are not as strong and are not designed to span a gap quite as larger as 4 teeth, normally. It is best to see your local dentist and get a personalised recommendation and price. The costs will be based on a number of factors, including your location, your dentist etc. If you are in the UK, you may well be eligible for NHS dentistry, which is significantly discounted compared to private services.
Are you cleaning regularly and correctly? They should not smell unless some debris is stuck under the edge of the crown. Make sure you floss and brush correctly and that should remove the source of the smell. The tongue is also prone to retaining bacteria that can smell. Make sure you clean this too. If the problem persists, you may want to consult with your dentist.
Sorry to read this. You will need to consult with your dentist as it will depend on how the tooth has been broken and what can be done in your particular circumstances.
@@ElectricTeeth thanks for the reply I've been good removing my bridge when eating and the anchored teeth both literally snapped off in half at the gum line
If the bridge has to be replaced after some time do I have to extract anchor teeth where the bridge was or the dentist will just replace with a new bridge and cement it to that teeth again or how it is? Thank you
No Roger. You do not have to have a root canal done to place a bridge. A root canal is only required if the tooth has decay or infection that can only be treated with a root canal.
@@ElectricTeeth i did have a small filling on one of the abutment teeth prior to the bridge. if i keep up my dilligent care and keep it clean, do you think it will last awhile? i’ve been really depressed and anxious about the whole thing in fear i will lose this bridge and more teeth :( i’m only 32
Keep up good oral care and all should be fine. It isn't uncommon for teeth that have been prepped for a bridge to need root canal, but that doesn't mean that you will have to have one. 👍 Keep up regular dental checkups and your dental professional will let you know of any possible issues.
My dentist told me it would be done in three visits and it costs over $5000 well it’s 14 weeks later and she hasn’t don’t anything .she said no she didn’t say it would take a few weeks .she said it will take months .is this normal and the temporary one keeps falling out. .
Frances. It depends on your individual circumstances and what needs to be done. Typically a bridge can be completed within a few visits and a few weeks, but individual circumstances may have an impact.

@@ElectricTeeth My dental gave me both the options but i am very confused which one is good and life long because as i checked online most of the people saying bridge is very painful or not a proper solution for teeth fixing the implant is good as compared to bridge is it ?
Implants are better. They act like natural teeth. Bridges don't have fittings into your jaw bone like implants. Check this out - www.electricteeth.com/dental-implants-costs-procedure/
The teeth have to be prepared to allow for the bridge which many (rightly so) argue is harmful as perfectly healthy teeth have to be altered for a bridge. You will need to take proper care of it, but long term if looked after it should not be harmful.
Food can still potentially be caught up in a bridge. It shouldn't be a major issue with a good fitting bridge, but you still need to clean properly around it to remove debris and plaque.
I am not entirely sure what you are asking here. You should not experience any real bone loss as long as the other natural teeth remain in place. There are different types of bridges, but the most common do require the teeth either side of the missing tooth to be filed down so that the bridge can be attached. Therefore you lose some enamel on the teeth either side to allow the bridge to be fitted.
A bridge will typically last 5-15 years. As an average you are likely looking at the 10 year mark. There are many variables that will affect how long it will last. Potentially it could last much longer in the right circumstances.
Is there a reason why you think they will all say the same Michelle? Is there an additional complexity to your particular case? I am assuming there was some reason given by the dentist as to why the gap was considered too big?
I have an 8 tooth bridge (uk) cost 2.5k . It fell out 3 weeks ago and I was having significant pain over Christmas and new year . I don’t feel he has faith in his work either to be honest
my age is 19 i lost my both right and left side down molars i want tradational bridges on both sides i heard that jaw bone under false teeth supported by two natural teeth began to degenrate that cause natural teeth to decay is it true????????????
When a natural tooth is missing the bone can change, particularly if this missing tooth is not replaced with the likes of an implant. What changes and the impact will depend from one person to another. Tooth position, biting pressure etc all have a part to play. Whilst bone loss/changes can impact surrounding teeth it does not cause those teeth to decay.
That video is correct. It is not saying the lack of a tooth or the bridge itself will cause decay. It is saying a IF a tooth becomes decayed it can have an impact on the bridge. Decay is often as a result of poor oral hygiene. It is a little more complex than that, but a decayed tooth can become vulnerable. I would consider an implant. Although more expensive at your age it has a longer life and mimics the natural tooth.

Destroy 2 Teeth to fix one missing? No thank you. Why are bridges even a thing only God knows.
Yeah no thanks to removing 2 Tooth Crowns.
Hello @Electric Teeth , I recently had a 3 unit
bridge on lower incissors , I was missing one congentially .
A root canal is usually to remove infection, from the root canal. If they were healthy teeth then you shouldn’t have needed a root canal treatment
@@BeastPoint1 , so his dentist scammed him for money ?
Hi ,
I am going through the Dental bridge procedure.
So I'll need to destroy two good teeth to replace one? That sounds about right.
🤣

Sometimes i dream about removing my ceramic bridge it's like my brain want to take it off.
One dentist recommended me to kill the nerve of the teeth that are holding my bridge, but my dentist the one who put the bridge on me didn't recommend the nerve kill
What should I do?
Words of wisdom

idea: how about "bone"(ceramic ended abutments capped off with 1,2,or 3 piece veneer bridge?
@@ElectricTeeth thank you so much for your reply. I will ask my dentist about it. thank you!!!

I am not sure what you mean?

Sometimes there is no other option, but usually there is. The best option is implants, but not everyone is able to afford implants. Great if you can. The next option is a partial denture, but again not everyone wants dentures, especially if the they’re young. The other option is do nothing, or get the bridge, the grinding down of the abutments goes with the territory. Don't try to pull it out. You need to seek the professional opinion based on your circumstances. Potentially it is possible if it is treated promptly.

You can potentially, but more often than not there is a visit to assess the issue & plan and then the visit to undertake the work. It depends on the circumstances.

Should i go for bridge rather than implant if only my first molar is damaged? (beside the price)
are there any cons using bridge for long term use since im only 23 :(
Harry.

Yes implants are the 'best' but bridges are still very good options and generally far more affordable.

You can't replace a full set of teeth with a bridge. You need a couple of natural teeth to remain so the bridge can be attached to.

If i had a missing tooth along with a chipped tooth right next to it will a bridge be a god option or a crown
@@ElectricTeeth THNX!
What is the procedure if four front lower teeth are missing?? N how much costs
Good vid informative thankyou!!
What can we do if our teeth crowns give dirty smell???
Are you cleaning regularly and correctly? They should not smell unless some debris is stuck under the edge of the crown. Make sure you floss and brush correctly and that should remove the source of the smell.
The tongue is also prone to retaining bacteria that can smell. Make sure you clean this too.
If the problem persists, you may want to consult with your dentist.

@@ElectricTeeth thanks for the reply I've been good removing my bridge when eating and the anchored teeth both literally snapped off in half at the gum line
It sounds like you may need to have those teeth that have snapped removed. And you will then need to get a denture or possibly implants with a bridge.
Which is normally preferable to replace a single lost bottom front tooth, bridge or partial denture. Implant isn’t an option due to cost.

Implants are better. They act like natural teeth. Bridges don't have fittings into your jaw bone like implants. Check this out - www.electricteeth.com/dental-implants-costs-procedure/
It is harmful in future?
The teeth have to be prepared to allow for the bridge which many (rightly so) argue is harmful as perfectly healthy teeth have to be altered for a bridge.

Food can still potentially be caught up in a bridge. It shouldn't be a major issue with a good fitting bridge, but you still need to clean properly around it to remove debris and plaque.
Any bone loss on down bone of bridge plzz answer any one about this
I am not entirely sure what you are asking here.
@@ElectricTeeth I missing 2 tooth. I put 2 supporting bridge any bone loss of missing tooth down side . Mean under bridge bone
The bone structure can change a little but in your case it is unlikely to change significantly, especially if you have the bridge in place
@@ElectricTeeth I am asking just any bone loss on under brige use after some year
@@zainulabid3157 what are you talking about? Speak English!
may i know how long maximum bridge can last?
A bridge will typically last 5-15 years. As an average you are likely looking at the 10 year mark. There are many variables that will affect how long it will last. Potentially it could last much longer in the right circumstances.
@@ElectricTeeth what happens after the 10 year mark? What causes the failure? Is it decayed teeth?
No. Failure can be the binding to the tooth, wear on the bridge from years of use.
@@ElectricTeeth Thank you.I have a bridge installed and I’m trying my best to take care of it but this was one of my concerns.
I have one tooth missing but my dentist refused a dental bridge as he said the gap was too big
Somewhat surprising, based on what you say. Have you considered getting a second opinion from another dentist?
No I feel like they will all say the same
Is there a reason why you think they will all say the same Michelle? Is there an additional complexity to your particular case? I am assuming there was some reason given by the dentist as to why the gap was considered too big?
@@ElectricTeeth no think I'm just being paranoid
I have an 8 tooth bridge (uk) cost 2.5k . It fell out 3 weeks ago and I was having significant pain over Christmas and new year . I needed root canals done on the anchor teeth and he put the bridge back in with temp cement . I have no faith in my dentist and feel I should have did a bit of shopping around . I don’t feel he has faith in his work either to be honest
Which is the best bridge or implant ?? Tell me i lost my front teeth.. and i have no more mony
Typically an implant is considered the 'best' option. But a bridge is still a very good solution but can be much more affordable.
So pretty
You too, babe
my age is 19 i lost my both right and left side down molars i want tradational bridges on both sides i heard that jaw bone under false teeth supported by two natural teeth began to degenrate that cause natural teeth to decay is it true????????????
When a natural tooth is missing the bone can change, particularly if this missing tooth is not replaced with the likes of an implant. What changes and the impact will depend from one person to another. Tooth position, biting pressure etc all have a part to play. Whilst bone loss/changes can impact surrounding teeth it does not cause those teeth to decay.
@@ElectricTeeth then this video is misguiding me ua-cam.com/video/-nwkddA40P4/v-deo.html
Although more expensive at your age it has a longer life and mimics the natural tooth.

dear i have one missing molar on each side they are not completely missing still present but so much decayed that their hole have reached my jaw bone there is no pain in both of them i can eat with both sides and food gets stuck in them
this is complete story of my molars i want dental bridge on one side and if dental bridge works well it is good for me i keep idea of an implant on other side later in my life about 10 years later when i will be able to do an implant on my own expense i am a medical student recently in first year of MBBS what is your advice about my dental work ???????

Dr Azhar Hayat
That sounds like it could be a plan. Although if the molars are that badly decayed, you will still likely need to get both sides treated as soon as possible. Youi need to get personalised advice by seeing a local dentist who can talk you through your options.
I have a 3 unit bridge (2 front upper central incisors and 1 lateral incisor). I just removed my braces 4 days ago. I am going to do some restorative work and change the old bridge with a new bridge and get some fillings on my canine to remove cavity. Can I wear my plastic retainer over the bridge? I am so scared it is gonna come off. Please help.
Yes it should be possible. The retainer is made custom to your mouth to fit over your teeth and any restorations you have. If you are getting a new bridge this might cause slight alterations to the fit which might mean a new retainer, but that can be resolved easily.
Hi, how did having a bridges and getting braces work for you? Did it loosen your bridge?
taelurr ford Hi Taelurr! No it didnt loosen my bridge. My ortho was so skilled he removed it as a single unit first with mini screws and in a later stage they had to slice it to adjust the single teeth in the new position. I am getting a new bridge this week as the old one is no longer suitable due to change in sizes/angle after braces. You should consult your ortho/prostho as they need to communicate together to give u a good plan.
I feel so embarrassed I got 5 of my teeth removed and my speech has changed for the worse I feel like an idiot cuz my immune system is weak my teeth were causing me pain. Now I feel useless 🙄
I'm 24 years of age
I feel too 😢😟
I hope you are feeling better. You are not useless. You will figure this out. You are so much more than missing teeth.
i had dental bridges on both sides of my lower first molar teeth...it's been 2 months now...i miss my natural teeth so much...sometimes i cried but its of no use...i cant get used to these dental bridges and i really miss the taste of food my original enamel teeth gives me...i deeply regret getting dental bridges

There are options such as implants or a removable denture. Best to see and speak to your dentist for personalised advice.
Tell your viewers the dirty secret in your industry-- that the lab tech is the one who determines how good it looks, and a lot of your colleagues don't admit they use cheap garbage labs while dentists will have you think they are the best, and charge according to how easily they can fool you! It takes having a friend in the high end dental field to find out the crap you guys aren't telling us! Folks, if your dentist uses a crappy lab, that's why their work all looks so fake. They will *never tell you this* because they'll make less off you if they use great labs.
That's true. It's all about the money.
What are you on about?
What is the cost of implant per tooth?
It depends on many different things.
The cost will be anywhere between $1500-5000 on average.
Broken down further the cost might look like:
$2,500 - Implant
$1,000 - Custom abutment
$1,200 - Crown
Total: $4,200

So many Americans are walking around with missing teeth because they can't afford implants, partials, dentures, etc! It's pathetic.
It's so sad. Everyone should be able to have health care.
Would it be Permenonent???
Fatima Mehmood no but would be permanent
Fatima, a bridge will not last your entire life. Typically they last 5-15 years on average.

@@ElectricTeeth mine is getting loose and i think its about to come off, is there any possibility that this time bridging might not be possible due to any reason or i should be confident that it can be replaced for sure.
@@Jasxaransingh my crown also moving and came out and i go to my dentist again and she said i need tooth bridge.i hope its safe.. im gonna do it this time
Are these removable or permanent ?
A bridge is usually a permanent fixture in the mouth as it is bonded (glued) to the teeth either side. It can be removed by a dentist if required.
@@ElectricTeeth how long do it last ?
Typically about 10 years. But there are many variables that can affect this for better or worse.
@@ElectricTeeth and what should we do after 10 years after the bridge fall off?
You will need to have it replaced.
