Really really cool build!!! I've also been looking forward to this a lot :) Little tip for the painting; stick the minis to lollypop sticks or tongue depressors or whatever :) you'll find it far easier to handle and you won't be touching the paintjob while you're holding the mini to paint it :) I'd forgotten we had discussed that broadside thing - it is a good idea, just makes for a bit more colour :) Nice one!!
You can get miniatures from Elhiem Miniatures. Guns, armour, engines, wheels etc from Creepy Hero Games and Hayland Terrain. Both from Stan Johansen Miniatures
I've seen a few places that have them and various bits but the printer can do full beds of that for literally pennies ;) well not counting the cost of the machine I guess but it has seriously paid for itself by now
Tips if you hate painting like you mentioned. For non-metallic acrylic paints use a wet pallette (easy to make yourself). Brushes, get a good quality Round 3 or 4. It holds heaps of paint at once and will hold a point for way longer if good quality (Leovinci synthetics are great). For the airbrush undercoating put in your largest needle and run 30psi, way faster, and controllable if you have double action. Look up oil washes as well, good fun weathering after the acrylics. I also reckon add exhaust pipes to mimic the downward facing oars as a line of four along each side. Enjoying your vids thanks.
ah good tips! I did expand my airbrush set up and am finding I like that a whole lot better. Also got some better brushes which helps. Seen a lot of people say something like "grab any ol brush" naaaa I need that microscopic one for fine details, no idea how people do tiny bits with a #1
@@QuiniansBudgetCrafts you are allowed a tiny brush too! Just a #3 or #4 round will speed up so much, and you'll be surprised how quickly you get used to it and how small you can paint.
Your builds (especially this team) are impressive! Cheers for the tips as well 😘
Thanks! :) I'll finish all the teams in the book once I have more time

thanks! I have a mini holder but I find it gets in my way a lot lol
Never would’ve thought boats. But yea. It works.
Don't underestimate Florida man when it comes to turning boats into hot rods! :D
Awesome build. I really wanted to make a team like this of my own. So so cool.

Cool builds. Did you have to scale down the figures?
just a tiny bit. I scaled the large boat several times and then figured out that it was perfect as is
Nice build
Thanks!
