    If Macie ever quits this game then the last bastion of strategic Rainbow Six will have been lost, literally the only guy who still makes strategic content and tries to approach the game in a different way each time.

      You can visualise the pest's AoE as a sphere. If you rewatch, the left-right sweep in the first few seconds is to figure out which side of the door the pest is by listening. You can then jump up and over the pest's AoE on the opposite side of the doorway.

    • @mtd_epic7759
      @mtd_epic7759 Рік тому +20

      @@TheBadgernot an oversight at all? Its just a sphere radius, like the mute jammer. You can jump over both and the pest wasn't high enough to get his drone

    Macie, at around 7:15, what’s the difference between this and the swinging/peaking that the enemies before were doing? Clearly you land the kills, but did you have like a better reason like certain sound cues or map knowledge or something for those swings when you had that doorway locked down with your teammate?

    • @alotakids367
      @alotakids367 Рік тому +8

      One reason I can see that he peeked is that the doorway was funneling the opponents until one of them shotgunned a hole big enough to move through into attic so Macie went aggro to prevent them getting attic control

    • @beetleR6
      @beetleR6 Рік тому +2

      @@alotakids367pretty much exactly this. If they get that attic control and push in from Trophy its pretty much wraps for the defense

    • @MacieJay
      @MacieJay  Рік тому +22

      It's really no different, the head holes on attic wall mandate aggressive swings in order to maintain map control. If it were up to me I'd reinforce that wall and just funnel them through a crossfire on trophy door, but I can't convince anyone to reinforce that in solo queue so I swing for 1v1's instead.
