Shame that Porsche, Ferrari and even Aston Martin cars have reduced damage relative to other cars in the game. Overall the damage is nothing compared to older grid games.
@@pastelfromgreece9603 you have to remember, video games even back in late 2000s weren't nearly as popular as they are now. While there were still licence issued, I believe manufacturers still viewed games as a fairly cheap way to advertise. Whereas now, a big title like Forza or GT has to have all the popular manufacturers - so now the manufacturers have the cards in their hands per se, and they set all the rules for the developers
What’s sad too is that even though this is a horrendous far cry from how good visual damage systems used to be in a lot of older games, and this isn’t that good for a lot of reasons especially when compared to older titles, it’s still better than 99% of modern racing games. Licensed cars or no. I understand a big part of it is likely licensing, but until this issue is directly addressed, it’s impossible to know if it’s artificial restrictions, modern engine limitations, or if it’s on the devs. Either way the EGO engine used to be SO MUCH MORE dynamic and interactive, and generally more impressive to look at than what we’re getting with the new games post DiRT Rally 1.0.
Damage model is fucking joke forced by manufactures because of fear of sales go down because of high damage model.... Fucking disgrace, 2007 was better.

11 years of gaming evolution guys. 11 years! Man I so wanna go back to playing Grid 2008 but sadly I lost the disc.
I have the ps3 version
Man I wish I could still play grid 2 but I'm trying buy the disc now
i actually like the classic realistic physical and internal damage from grid 2008
@Andy Candy well i like playing game because i can smash all what i want. I cant do it in real life
Very restrictive damage. Grid 2008 was so much better. You only need 1 big crash to completly destroy in every single way your car..
That is so true
Manufactures weren't so sensitive about their cars being damaged back then.
@@randomfaca Why? so what they were like oh no graphics are so good looking nowwww let's not destroy our virtual carrrrrr!!!
actually maybe yeah...

This game is very enjoyable, don't see why it's getting so much hate all over the place.
Mainly because it is underwhelming compared to the original Grid 2008
@@SHDWSKII I only played Grid 2 and this one
@@darkchild130 i only played autosport and this one but autosport crashes are much better they even have soft body
The damage is better than GT7 but everything else is better in GT7
That’s a big downgrade in terms of damage physics!
Indeed

Well take a look at Gran Tourismo 7 than you know what bad demand is
