I hated how OP they made Killian. I understand that’s just extremis but like, Tony got maybe 2-3 actual hits on him and other than that it was just defensive maneuvers. A little underwhelming imo
Tony should’ve done more distanced attacks. He could’ve hit Killian with repulser blasts, missiles, etc and avoid getting the suits destroyed. Maybe it could be argued that Stark was pissed and wanted to dish out some pain.

@@kennethsatria6607 Yes, but it makes little sense that for a superhero that specializes in ranged/areal combat Tony didn't use his major advantage against what is essentially a pure melee combatant.
The Iron Man suits are all literally Raptor Fighter Jets in the shape of a suit of armor and instead of shooting all their guns from the air they're actively trying to ram into super hot metal shredders. Yeah no shit they're going to be destroyed, STAY IN THE BLOODY SKY.
Literally just fly far away enough to where Killian can't just jump up or something and bombard the dude with everything in the suit's arsenal. Going into melee is such a waste of the suit's potential as it was never built for melee combat, which is literally the only reason Tony gets his ass kicked here. Does it make for a cool action scene? I guess. Does it make sense? No.
If you as a film director really want that melee fight then you need to at the very least introduce something that justifies it. Could've just had Killian's goons set up some kind of "SAM" (anti-air missile) defense system around the perimeter, or Javelin weapon systems (Ground to Air lock-on rocket launchers. Literally what the Ukrainians are currently using against Russian tanks right now.) and now you've forced Tony's suits to either stay on the ground or get annihilated.

I don't understand, an older model suit was able to go toe to toe with Thor without getting much damage, but here more updated suits are getting blown like tin cans

@@srinivasaragha1854 no it doesn't, every new suit Tony makes is either an upgrade I.e Mark IV -Mark V, as in generally better, or a suit that had been specially made I.e a suit made got lifting or drilling like in this fight scene. Even for the sake of faster innovation, Tony purposefully making weaker suits is stupid, its just a little oversight by thr writers
@@lukuro hmm, maybe the reason why it's like that is at the choice of viewers, some may think that tony just wanted to create suits as a hobby and implementing new innovations( like lifting and drilling), not for combat purposes thus not focusing completely on durability, some may think it's lack of consistency on part of directors

It must’ve been a nightmare jumping into a bunch of randomized suits each with different abilities and quality of components. Imagine rapidly jumping between random car models made between 2008 and now and being expected to drive like your life depended on it

This is something I noticed also. In all movies with falling scenes they always look funny even when it's serious. I don't know what causes this.

I get killian is basically unkillable during this fight but he would still feel pain and be able to be knocked out, I’d think one solid punch from iron man would lay him out for a few hours
iron man went from soloing tanks and blowing shit up with several tons of tnt worth of explosives to being a glorified suit of medieval plate armor with tasers.
I like to think they're weaker here because he went with the "quantity over quality" route.

I don’t care what anyone says and I would even say they’re crazy for not enjoying this movie or saying it was one of the worst marvel movies. We really see how versatile Stark can be and going back to what Cap says about him. We see what Stark is without being Iron Man and it’s badass. I love this movie.
I Respect Iron Man He Can Fight Thanos And Mandarin Even He Doesn't Have A Powers
my only complaint with this is I doubt that Extremis could cut through Tony's armors because he's literally been shot with plasma beams from space aliens and was tossed into a helicarrier blender and he came out with like damage to exterior of the armor.
I'm not saying extremis isn't hot enough to cut some metal off Tony's armor but I really don't think it'd cut through him like a lightsaber. His hand should probably get stuck mid karate chop or something.

Tony's mark 40 shotgun looks the badass and coolest of all suits.
If Wenwu in the Mandarin armor was using his rings and his knowledge of martial arts, chi and pressure points Tony would had a hard time with him which is what lead to him to install a feature which will analyze fighting patterns and have a stronger material to withstand attacks from alien artifacts similar to the Wenwu’s rings.

When it comes to the Lego version of this movie in Lego avengers is that I wish we get to use these suits cause when you do this part of it tony has mark 42 immediately and at the end cutscene of it he doesn’t have it on anymore and you see mark 42 fly towards tony so it kinda just gives Tony mark 42 then removes it for the end cutscene

Tony would have won this with ease if he simply used any older suit, like Mark 6 or 7.
Before someone asks why I am saying this, all the suits after those were made in the rush, Tony wasn't taking his perfection them like he did to his suits before it, which is why we see those suits being broken and defeated so easily.
This also goes to Mark 42, just like most of those armors, Mark 42, and all the rest were mostly unfinished prototypes.

Imagine Killian survived and being at the final battle with Thanos. All the human bad guys like Batroc and Vulture showing up to help because Thanos destroying the universe would be bad for them too.
The original Extremis story was so much better than this. Shame it wasn’t adapted more faithfully.

The only thing it had going for it was the flashy CGI spectacle.
Tony never uses his army of suits to defend his home, he doesn't use his flight advantage here, the mandarin plot twist was a waste of a good actor/villain portrayal, Tony's PTSD is introduced at the start of the movie only to be completely ignored later and the attempt of the director to have Iron Man's story end in this film was such a bad call the next film completely ignores it.

Well they are extremely heated, and by point of Thanos Iron Man's been improving his suits to be more and more powerful.

The suits are perfectly capable of killing the Extremis, we see Tony blast one with his arc reactor in the plane scene and that guy remains VERY much dead.
