What does it mean in English? Flagship specs bro flagship specs
Pluck em flick it to the side
Can the phone be charged with case on?
Good question
Only with compatible cases with a ring on it like apples
It is just like a regular wire cable but with bigger head 💁🏻♂️
That's it! And at the same time, it is less convenient, since it is more massive (especially if you are on the road), and more inconvenient if you need to use the phone while charging than a regular cable.
Does it charge iPhone 11 Pro Max? Like it charges with the fast charger ?
It's exciting to see that even if I choose to keep my 11 Pro Max, I can still use this as a SEMI-MagSafe charger. I wonder how it holds up with a case on. I hope some 3rd party accessory maker would make a magnetic case for the older iPhones for us to use this charger like you would on an iPhone 12 series phone
They do work with all wireless charging devices but wont work as fast as a normal wireless charger infact ur battery will drain faster than it charges.
Whats the charging time difference between ligtning Usb C vs this wireless charger?
Lightning usb-c uses full 20W, wireless charger uses 15W, so not humongous but probably noticeable.
Maybe I’m not getting it but don’t magnets make the wireless experience bad? You can’t just place your phone and pick it up anymore. You need two hands to detach the charger from your phone. Basically like a wired charger.
Edit: Shaking the charger off is inconvenient too.
Agree. This seems so inconvenient. I am sure this thing is gonna annoy me every time I pick my phone up. Duh!
The benefit is though you can use your phone while its charging.
@@Astroid2 Same as with a wired charger which is even more convenient. That's no benefit, bro.
I'd rather like to use the phone while charging than staring at the phone while its charging. I don't see any advantages in wireless charging.
Other wireless chargers are finicky because their rate of charging depends on how well the coils line up. The main benefit of this is a consistent charging experience. But yeah, I’m hoping Apple has some tricks up their sleeves to let the user disable the or weaken the magnetic field between the phone and charger somehow, though I kind of doubt it because they probably would have flexed that if they had managed to do it.
How is this device any difference from other wireless chargers that have been around for a couple of years. I have a wireless Belkin.
If apple had included this in the iPhone 12 box it would have been really nice and worth sacrificing EarPods and Charger
Yesssss!
But what if we use a case on the iPhone? will it still charging and magneticly attached?
I have never before used Wireless charging, even on my 11 Pro Max. But this time I am considering buying this MagSafe with the new iPhone. By the way, great video Aaron. You've helped make my mind. Thanks!!
What kind of watch band are you wearing? Thanks
Apple seems to be preparing us for no ports soon! I use a Samsung quick charging pad and will continue to do so until it burns out.
I really only use the lightning cable for my iPad, I rely on wireless charging for my phone lmao
Same exact thing for the exact same reason.
If I am using a case to protect my phone how effectively will it work and is it advisable to charge using the case on.
$40 extra for a separate charger, *still doesn't come with a power brick*
So we have to take off the iPhone case before using the MagSafe charger?
Nice, apple relaunching old stuff as new .wow
Like all iphones, can you charge you phone while the magsafe is charging as well?
Wonder how long before for the cable starts to disconnect with pulling it on and off the phone?
Not only do you have to buy a charger for the phone but the brand charger is not even complete! Ridiculous
Oh there's a simpler answer to that, "Take your $1000 phone off the charger unlike a monkey snatching a banana!"...like what's your problem Karen? Magnetism? Then just go buy another non-magnetic qi charger---how hard is that? 😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@yatindersingh_ apparently you haven’t owned apple products throughout the years. The chargers are notorious for this issue. No need to be rude and disrespectful take your trolling elsewhere.
@@sd1660 as a matter of fact I do own multiple apple devices and I haven’t had an issue with a charger cable since 2015, they redid something with iphone 7 cables or something, and if you want one of them detachable cables or non magnetic stuff just buy any other qi charger, what are you mad about anyway 😂🤦🏻♂️
So what’s the advantage to this over the chargers that plug into iPhones and iPads.
I feel like some youtubers are forgetting what material the wireless coils are made out of... COPPER. of course the MagSafe charger will slightly stick to the back of a phone with wireless charging and in some cases align itself with the phone
Is there mag safe cases for older devices?
Hopefully the duo won’t go the way of the AirPower 🤞🏽
It just combines MagSafe with the existing Apple Watch charger; no new technology. So there isn’t any reason it couldn’t be produced.
@@minimum_reflex I’m surprised I can’t order it.
@@wifine1951 it will come a bit later, Apple said that in the keynote.
Could you connect this with the iPad Pro's USB C port ?
Thanks Aaron
You're always and highly appreciated
Will the charger stick on the other side to a magnetic surface? Like a fridge.
7:39 AM in India. Good Morning Aaron
Good morning. 10:15 pm here. Have a great day.
6:39 here in Dubai 🇦🇪
@@zollotech You too 💯🙏🏻
Maybe I missed it but does it make the phone hot if it's in a case? Would you recommend charging it not in a case?
I can only imagine the amount of broken cables for this MagSafe Charger. If it sticks even harder on the 12 series, everyone will try and pull it out using its cable...
Will it work if you have a third party case on it, like Spigen or Outterbox for example?
Looking to buy the dual charger for iPhone and Apple Watch
It'll be great for travel
Yeah good luck with that lol Ever heard of the Air Power 🤔 ?
Reverse wireless charging on the samsung is also useful for travel
I just bought another watch charger and lightening cord, plugged them into my laptop and I can charge my phone or watch whenever I want, no matter where I travel. The laptop goes everywhere with me anyway. At home I have the same setup everybody has.
Do the magnets also stick to the iphone 12 models with third party case?
Years ago, I thought I have heard something called Airpad or something? It’s like a tray of wireless charging where you can charge iPhone or iPad wirelessly. I guess that never make it?
Edit: It’s called AirPower. Thank you TheGamingEnderman for the correction and clarification.
Apple openly canceled AirPower over overheating issues, and manufacturing issues. The Apple Watch not being Qi also was huge part why it failed.
TheGamingEnderman I see! Thank you for your clarification and I hope they will get around to make it happen. Looked like an awesome product where you can charge few devices at once especially if we can charge iPad at the same time too. Haha!
Does it work through Apple silicone case? On 11 pro
$40 for a charge pad without charge adapter is scam!
Lighting didn’t include adapter. There’s 3rd party. You can always get a Samsung charger for $40 with adapter. There’s an open market.
Scam...agree! Especially since all iPhones don’t use USB-c. Who the heck is going to have the USB-c charge adapter laying around? Yet another expensive purchase needed just to make this over priced gizmo work.
I mean, it's Apple
Apple has always been a scam either way
But the greater portion of people are Apple Sheeps, so yeah
Can you plug the MagSafe charger into you Mac and use the power from the Mac to charge your iPhone if you haven't go the wall charging box yet?
I think I’ll stick with my Anker charger!
Does this charger also work with the regular iPhone 11
This is really informative. Thank you!!
Would iPhone 12 charge wirelessly using standard Qi charger? I do own Pixel Stand and plan to use it
And that cable is gonna break so fast just like lightning cable xD.
@@deanwoods8647 That’s your perspective about me you never saw me how i use my cables so keep imagining.
Can you charge AirPod pros on them? On an ordinary wireless charger I can but I would like to make sure before I buy ?
Great video! I’m waiting for the Duo, I think that will be cool. Hopefully it comes out around the time of the Pro Max.
only thing needed to know & which missed, will it charge with case on phone?
Waiting for 3rd party companies to start making cases with magnets 😂😂😂
Yup me too
I saw some article that Otterbox has already put the Magnets into the defender and symmetry cases
What’s the use of a short cable? It’ll be hard using the device while charging!!
It would have been nice, if was included in the box!!
Will it work if you have a case on?
I'm calling it right now, in the future iPhones, apple gonna remove the ability to charge their phones with a traditional lightning charger and forces users to buy this crap
To me it looks like they are heading in that direction. Seems like they have removed everything else.
Well yeah. Every phone is moving in that direction. I thought that was pretty obvious with how every company has their own brand of wireless earbuds and wireless chargers now.
@@HellNaw98 so right!! ofc and every other company including Samsung this year or next are going to follow suit and remove chargers from the box but until then they are also going to throw shade on apple for doing it. Remember headphones jacks? and how its removal propelled a whole new line of amazing technologies?....yupp..exactly that!! except only apple has the guts and loyalty from their customers to actually do it before everyone else.
Remember the rumors earlier this year when Apple were supposedly removing all ports from iPhones? Maybe not this year, but it definitely is coming in a few years.
@@DurangoCzechoslovakia Ofc and I think why they didn't do it this year was just to keep the lightning port which would make it easier to remove the charger from the box, since it has been around for years and people would easily adjust to it, at the same time MagSafe this year would make it easier to remove all ports next year or so once people are already used to it, thus easing the transition.
Does it work for the air pod case?
Just a wireless charger with a ring of magnet. For $60 dollars you have a lot of better options out there like the Samsung Qi wich is a dual wireless charger.
I got a dual wireless charger for my father for his birthday, he uses it all the time
So excited for my iphone 12 and it’s accessories 😃
Does it charge the older iphones any faster considering it is the first Apple Made Wirelesss Charger?
The iPhones are evolving slowly, the 11 Pro Max is “partially magnetic”
And the brain of the iSheeps slowly decreasing
@@avrahamcohensaban It is pretty sure to say that one day, the iPhone is going to be completely wireless. The iPhone won’t have the lightning port either. You’ll have AirPods for music and wireless charger for charging the battery.
avraham cohen saban the MagSafe kind of sticks to the iPhone 11 but not properly
Cristian Cojocaru brain of idiots writing comments like you also have their brains degrading into even more idiotic entities
Can the MagSafe charger power previous iPhones
Apple is slowly introducing and testing this charging method. In a year or two we could potentially see no more plugging iPhones in order to charge devices. However, I wonder how it will be when trying to manually backup the iPhone using iTunes and also other things.
magsafe charge pad on a macbook probably
Hey I gotta ask a question. How do you do the subscribe animation screen and could you do a tutorial
Am I the only one who is concerned that using this charger overtime is going to scratch the back of iPhone making a dust ring around the magnets?
Use a case
@@76ix7gang8 then same thing will happen to the case
Will wear out faster
It won’t scratch Apple back. It might do it to case though.
Use a skin
iPhone 12 will work with an old Qi charger ? Or it will charge wireless only the mega safe charger ?
I think sticking is a plus because we can use it while charging now.
Because if we want to remove it, it’s not that much of a hassle anyways but sticking and allowing to use it is a very very big plus and always kept me from trying wireless chargers.
You can do that anyway with the normal charger cables. This takes ages to charge complete waste of time.
Hi!! how it's going! What devices compatible?
Why buy a new charger if you can just use a USB-C to USB-A adapter?
You still use a type A lightning cable. Jesus
Does it stick to the back of the iphone XR ?Or is it just charging where it is standing ?
Steve Jobs would turn in his grave to know we dont get a charger with the IPhone 12. It's a sad day when the worlds richest company has to rip you off!
