Nice to see you in California! Just be careful if you're ever in OC/Riverside area. Cops are notorious for giving tickets for modded cars over here lol
yeah i think ben, you gotta go for a quieter setup, you definitely don’t want the cops knocking on your door 24/7 haha. also i’ve seen chris’s car on the gram it’s pretty sick..
If I had one of these I'd put in an equal-length header and a dual-outlet cat-back exhaust, leaving the pipes in between intact. It would be my daily so it would need to be quieter. And having that right exhaust tip cutout empty would bother me too much. A quieter single-outlet exhaust would be fine if you could delete the empty cutout. I would also remove the extra charcoal filter from the airbox to add a few extra horses and foot-pounds to the gains from the exhaust side of things. But no lowering for me, as I live in Minnesota with crappy roads and several months of snow to deal with every year. I'd grab an extra set of wheels with snow tires for that.
They're honestly both pretty similar, and super loud. Are they all this loud when you go single cat? The dual exit is more my vibe in terms of looks. The empty hole on the rear bumper just looks like its missing something, you know?
I'm staring to really like the BRZ front end over the GR86. I'm feeling like i only preferred the 86 front because of trend, badge loyalty and herd hype. The more i see the BRZ, esp after modded the more i feel it just looks... cleaner, smoother? I guess what i mean is ( keeping the front ends/not swapping for AM ) in terms of exterior mods/aesthetic i feel like you have more play and option when designing a build. BRZ can look classy, clean or aggressive etc... While i feel like the 86 is kinda stuck in the aggressive zone no matter what you do. If that makes sense.
Tomei sounds better imo but I can’t get over the empty exhaust hole, getting my car Saturday it’s already on the lot and I got to sit in it, these videos help with my decision making a ton thanks!!!!
They both sound so good🔥 I think i’d choose yours over his though, not being biased lolll. But now we gotta wait like another 5 DAYS for the wheel reveal 😭 ben is teaching me patience🤣
If it was possible, I would go with a combination of the two exhausts. Your sound with dual tips. My personal preference goes to dual tip, but to be clear; it's your car so the choice is up to you. #TrueOG
🎵🎵Ben, yours sound a bit better, even though it's louder. Has that deep 2004 sti grumble. ❌I think the catless puts it too much into the honda tin can range.
I like the more expensive system for sound but like the dual outlets. I wouldn’t be game to run either of them on the street though. You’d get a ticket here in no time at all.
Cops here don’t seem to mind. I drive with them, like literally right next to them daily and they don’t seem to care which is why I haven’t switched it over yet. But if I lived in California it would be different😂
They both sound good but I think your car sounds cleaner. There’s a raspiness to the other car that muddles it. But the camber on the other car I will say makes it looks like dilapidated trash. The way you can tell the difference between a “look at me” kid and a guy who knows what’s proper for suspension taking into account roll and contact patch for handling are the guys with with only as much camber and height reduction as needed. But to each their own. 🤷🏼♂️
@@BenLovrien true enough. Could have been the proximity to the car and pushing the limits of the mic. I think they both sound pretty good. The new plant on the gen2s have a nicer tone for sure.
Love the sound of both! But definitely prefer the dual exit look🔥
Super fun video, been watching Chris for a little now cool to see you guys together !
I love both of them they both have such a crisp boxer noise, just yours is a bit lower pitch but louder, I love them! 👌🏼

My worlds are all colliding wthell😂😂 love what you guys do, GR86 comes in tomorrow 😫

Awesome collaboration! Best two BRZ channels out there right now
Such an unexpected collab but amazing!
Had so much fun!
I know this is late but was the car stock besides the tomei catback when this video was recorded? I’m assuming not since its so loud

Both pops are lekker. But the dual is still preference. Looks better as well. Fill the intended gaps in back bumper

What headers do Chris have?
Can’t wait to all get together soon 👀
Hey bro, just wondering what camera set up do you use? Quality is great!
A7C with a sigma 24-70 lens. Working on getting 14-24mm though. 24-70 isn’t too good for vlogging.
@@BenLovrien Bro thank you! Have a good night!

Yea I feel the same, brz has a very clean non aggressive look to it

How’s the car man?
@@fluflammer1 it’s great, by far the most fun car I’ve ever driven
Both sound good but dual exit has the pop after and it sounds great
I love the car man! Looking into an older one myself
Duality is the way to go bro 😎

Nah wheel reveal is Sunday!
@@BenLovrien woooo!
want an axleback but don't want it to be super loud

Tomei actually made a dual tip version! It’s just hard to find for the brz because I think they discontinued it
I need an oem muffler. Can I buy yours ?
Send me a message on Instagram, @ben_lovrien unless you don’t have one
When was this recorded Ben
Yeah Ik Chris posted his a while ago😂 was recorded ab a week ago, I’m backed up on videos right now! Sunday is wheel reveal!
I wonder how the Tomei would sound if it was 2.5 in instead of 3in and if it would be Quieter?
I think the type 60 might be 2.5
Both nice exhausts but only one will see you wearing a hearing aid in your older years…but that’s a long way away so let that flat 4 roar!
Yeah that’s a problem for older me😂😂😂
@@BenLovrien 😂😂😂👍🏻
🎵🎵Ben, yours sound a bit better, even though it's louder.

His sounds so good in person tho I for real think the mic was messed up or something!😂
@@BenLovrien could be. Would be nice if my fk8 could sound like yours.
That sti like rumble is quite exquisite
U guys are hilarious
Why don't you guys just switch?

Single exit looks better
I was too slow 😂
You were😂
sweet
I'm sorry 2 say Ben his does sound a little more respectable we could never have a car in the UK as loud as yours
I’m definitely debating switching something up with mine😂
@@BenLovrien it's beyond loud the police would love pulling u over with that

every video you say its too loud lol, gotta tame it a bit

In person, Chris’s exhaust was way more tame, and less raspy. It might have been the mic.
@@BenLovrien true enough. Could have been the proximity to the car and pushing the limits of the mic. I think they both sound pretty good. The new plant on the gen2s have a nicer tone for sure.
Equal length+ tomei is the best combo just trust me
