    Your video is so easy to follow! I am fairly new to Tunisian crochet and my scarf is coming out beautifully. I wish I knew what the blue yarn is that you are using, it's so shiny.

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  3 роки тому +1

      Hello and thank you so much! It is Womens Institute Aran, it is only available from Hobbycraft. They have a small range of beautiful colours, however I think the blue is now discontinued. It is worth checking nevertheless. I love to use this yarn for blankets- it has a great stitch definition, it is very durable, it is almost always on some sort of deal too😀 and comes in large 400g skeins.

    Absolutely wonderful tutorial. Very helpful and easy to follow. Thank you. The stitch is beautiful also. I do have a quick question though, is there any way to increase with this stitch? I am making myself an arm warmer and I want it to go from my wrist almost to my elbow to protect a break I got during lockdown last Summer. I've tried to increase but it has thrown the pattern totally off. 😔 I'm thinking I can just put a band on 1 end and keep that to the inside of my arm, so if there is no way of increasing don't worry about it. I just thought I'd ask 💖

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  3 роки тому

      You depending on how many stitches you would like to increase an once, you can add extra stitches on both edges and continue the pattern..

      @@exquisitecrochetuk I’ve just re-watched this video again 9 months later and plan to make a pocket shawl with it. Nice and cosy for chilly nights outside. I’m curious, would you make the pockets out of the same pattern, or would you choose a different stitch pattern for contrast?

    • @selinqa1
      @selinqa1 3 роки тому +1

      @@StitchingWithLove hello Leslie, I would use the same stitch but perhaps in a different yarn colour. If this would look like too much bulk in the pocket area, I would use Tunisian simple stitch instead.

      Hello, it is the same stitch as the one in the tutorial. The one on the thumbnail is made in bulky weight yarn, while I used worsted weight yarn in the tutorial.

    The volume of the voice needs to be a bit higher as I have maxed all volume controls and could hardly hear this speaker. I also had to open the CC so I could read what the instructor is saying.

      Sometimes the look differs between yarn weights. The sample on the thumbnail is made in bulky yarn and the yarn I used in the video is worsted weight. What type of yarn weight did you use?

      I was doing the same thing. I then understood what I was doing wrong. The loop you go behind to do the full stitch (fs) is the same as the loop you use to make the simple stitch (ss).
      For every fs, you ss with the loop you went behind to make the fs (except for the first loop because you only fs the first loop). If you did what I did, you chained 13, the first two rows (one row to put on the loops, one row to take off the loops) and have one loop on your hook.
      Fs through the first loop (2 loops on your hook), ss through the second loop (3 loops on your hook), *fs through the third loop (4 loops on your hook) ss through the THIRD loop (5 loops on hook), fs through the fourth loop (6 loops on hook) ss through the FOURTH loop (7 loops on hook). Repeat at * to the end, ss through the end chain (the two loops).
      If you did 13 foundation chains, you will end with 25 loops on your hook.
      Go to 4:53, then at 5:00, you'll see what she does. I hope I explained that clearly enough. Good luck. 😊
