If you are new to soap making, pls. make sure you read the SDS of sodium hydroxide carefully and put on your gloves, mask and google to protect yourself before starting.
I made another batch of peppermint soap before, but it didn't turn out green. This time I extracted the fresh peppermint in both liquid and oil, the color was really beautiful.
【配方/Recipe】
植萃橄欖油/infused olive oil: 260g
米糠油/rice bran oil: 190g
椰子油/coconut oil: 200g
棕櫚油/palm oil (RSPO-certified): 200g
可可脂/cocoa butter: 100g
99%氫氧化鈉/sodium hydroxide: 134g (減鹼3% / 3%discount)
薄荷汁/peppermint juice: 280g
薄荷腦/menthol crystal: 100g
迷迭香精油/rosemary essential oil: 10g
薰衣草精油/lavender essential oil: 10g
雪松精油/cypress essential oil: 5g
薄荷精油/peppermint essential oil: 5g

I picked up 125g of peppermint leaves and blended them together with 250g of distilled water.
280g of peppermint juice were freezed and 55g of residue were extracted in oil.

That’s nice it’s hot in Taiwan I guess? In where I am all the pepper mint leaves are dead as in dormant under the snow lol 😂 I would save the recipe for summer as it gets very hot here in Japan. But it’s cold now. 🥶😆 I liked that you used a lot of mint into juice, nice color.
It’s winter in Taiwan, about 10-15 degree C. With sprinkles, the peppermint grows really well in this season. This recipe will be perfect to use in summer.
I've never used the menthol crystals, too afraid. LOL. But your video makes it !ook easy! I'm inspired!

you may consider adding some more oils with stearic acid or palmic acid

If I use dry mint powder and mix it with oils. Then add in the soda solution a filter mixture of fresh mint leaves with distilled water. The result will be close in color, isn't it?thank you
The mint powder I bought turned out brown after mixing with lye. You might have to test yours by your own experience.
