Hi from New Zealand. Well life is a beach and a chocolate cake. In New Zealand a new 76 land cruiser off the shelf is nzd $109,000. Keep up the happy travels going. Thanks Jono P
Burrum is about 45 minutes from where is live just outside the south side of Bundaberg. We used to go for day trips in the summer when I was a kid and stayed at the units a few times (my mum isn’t one for camping unlike me) I would love to take my son to the camp grounds for a trip when he is a little older.
Burrum Heads was our family holiday destination in the mid 70s, Remember fishing with my little brothers, i already had my licence, They cost me a little fortune, fishing rods ,bait, boat hire , but it was all wortth it , Burrum has changed so much, not the cheap destination any more, The yabbie pump, did that a lot there , Lovely family spot, Enjoyed episode Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
We often stay at the holiday units in Burrum, they are super cheap self contained units on the beach with a pool and other fun stuff for the kids. But this camp ground looks pretty awesome.
Pretty spot. Did you give us the name of the hip camp or did I just miss it? Lovely looking dessert, hope whoever sent it to you enjoys seeing you make them. Sounds like youre going to be super busy getting everything organised. We used to get sandworms on the Gippsland coast the same way as you did the yabbies, Dad made his out of an old bike pump. Luckily he did catch fish lol. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
Hi Simon & Liz, just watched & enjoyed very much your Barrum shores video, just wondering if it would be accessible for a long, low motorhome with flat tow car, love the look of the place but sometimes we're limited to where we can go. Those " Jaffa " cakes looked amazing too.
We love it. Very different to the Zone and better in many ways. We don't need to carry as many tools with this one 😂👌 Only downside is it's a little heavier.
Get a Canter 4x4 or Isuzu 4x4 truck instead. 6.5 to 8 ton is a good GVM Very capable and forever space. More space and better towing. Kids will have a huge seating area. My canter 4x4 will do sub 15/100 with 6.5t and the Simpson at 23/100
Ranger vs Isuzu NPS. ua-cam.com/video/gAljVxg_C5w/v-deo.html Many of these trucks have completed the Tele track whilst towing. Unimog vs Canter is on interesting terrain
You probably mentioned why you changed RV. However as I’m in the market and missed that video. Why did you decide to purchase the Titanium and leave Zone? I know both brands are amazing and I’m actually looking at a zone now. Was there anything wrong with the van? Cheers
We wanted to build a van that suited our needs and have some input into the design and layout. That was made possible by Titanium, and we couldn't be happier. The Zone was good, but so far, the Titanium is better build quality.
@@TheLifestylePioneers thanks for sharing. So Zone won’t let you change anything within their design, what they have is what you get? Yeah, I noticed Titanium allows changes. Maybe I need to look further into this so I make a good purchase. Keep safe on the roads guys

Oh wow!
I am glad you tried the orange cakes as i am sure you are.
Thanks so much Susan. Was it you who told us about it? So sorry, we couldn't remember.
Thanks for visiting our beach we walk that beach with our dogs several times a week and lives only 500 meter away from this beautiful beach
That is awesome!
The old Orange cake, back in the late 70's we made these at Girl Guide camps, it's a winner!!!
We can't believe we've never tried it!

It's a great spot!

What a beautiful location🥰💯
I’m loving word of 2023, ‘moist’!! Haha🤣🤣
So good! 😆
Thanks guys for another epic video. Looking forward to next Sundays episode!
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm going to try that orange cake, that's for sure. Hervey Bay is a great place. Have been there a couple of times when in Aussie.
Please do!
I get the feeling there may have been some alcohol between dinner and desert, 🤣. Loved it, must give the choc orange a try.
I don't know what makes you think that 😂👍
We often stay at the holiday units in Burrum, they are super cheap self contained units on the beach with a pool and other fun stuff for the kids. But this camp ground looks pretty awesome.
Good to know!
Next time you looking to get away go over to the other side of the river to Woodgate. It's a lot better the Burrum heads. Long beach. 👍🏿🇦🇺🍺
Thanks for the tip!
That orange chocolate cake looks good going to give it a try it mite take over from my mixed Berry cobbler
It's amazing 👌
Love Sunday's and your episodes. Thank you
Appreciate it, Pete. Cheers 🍻
Choc Orange desert looks fantastic , hint for adults , put a little Qointreau in the mix , would be interested in your thoughts!
Love it! We actually mentioned this at the time, but we didn't have any with us! Next time.
The dessert looked and sounded delicious
It was, you should try it!
Little bit expensive? We stayed at Burrum Point Camping area for a week. very nice.
It's up there, but it's amazing
Definitely going to try those choc orange cakes!!!!
You should!

Thanks Cheryl. It's called Burrum Shores. I've just added a link in the description as well 👌
You definitely missed it Cheryl. The name of the place is in the pic of the video - ‘Burrum Shores Beachfront Camping’ 😉
It written on the Log 😁😁
What design course is Liz doing ?
And loving the content such amazing spot in that area we love it all through there specially in the bundy region
She's doing interior decoration
hi there
you show some great places on screen a great trend would be to put Gps location at the bottom of the screen
Thanks so much. We include links in the video description to help you find them. Hope that helps.

It would probably be best to check with Michael (who runs it) through HipCamp to make sure.
tell us about the new water system the reverse osmosis is it working?
We'll be doing a video on it shortly. We haven't had a chance to install it yet 😔
Hi guys, how long did you cook Orange cake on the fire
About 20mins 👌
Had the titanium for a while, how does it compare to the zone.
We love it. Very different to the Zone and better in many ways. We don't need to carry as many tools with this one 😂👌 Only downside is it's a little heavier.
With the choc oranges - did you use the actual middle of the oranges? Did you put it in the cake mix - did I miss something?
Nope, the cake mix gets the orange flavour from the skin and any small pieces of flesh left behind.
Get a Canter 4x4 or Isuzu 4x4 truck instead. 6.5 to 8 ton is a good GVM

My canter 4x4 will do sub 15/100 with 6.5t and the Simpson at 23/100
We can see their appeal but not for us. Too big and won't get to the places we want to go.

That is a nice spot but $72 a night is a rip off -
Prefer to go upto Burrum River and they have toilets and hot showers
It's not cheap, but we reckon it's worth it.
Not Yabbies. They are Nippers!
Well, there you go!
