Just binge watched 4 series in 2 weeks cant believe its taken me so long to discover it. Amazing programme and Ted is the man. "Hasting yes like the battle" brilliant
Hastings: I'd like to withdraw £500 from my account please, all in deformed 1p and 2p pieces. Bank clerk: Sir im afraid thats not possible. May I ask why you won't accept notes instead? Hastings: I'm interested in one thing and one thing only... bent coppers.
I'm from Belfast, 'Jesus, Mary & St. Joseph' is something I regularly remember my parents saying when shit went south haha. Also 'Didn't float up the Lagan in a bubble' is a regular memory too.
Old Skool Wax Tim, I couldn’t even understand your dad !His Irish accent was so strong! So sorry you were in a motorcycle accident with Steve. He always wanted to pass on his best wishes and for you to forgive yourself. Not sure how you fit in the story line with Jackie and Tom and davo and Tony? Or sue? All the best wishes! Nameste ✌🏻 All I will say is why was sue and Tom working at his business together and giving out Lindsays keys as a locksmith? Reputable company, they said! Yeah not so reputable! Poor Lindsay had so many problems with locks and keys! Ever since being a child! And zero support or sympathy from the public at large!
This must have taken ages and was great to watch. Makes me want a Kate one featuring such lines as, "Bit far north, surprised you haven't got a nose bleed", "What kind of nobby signal was that?", and the enduring greatness that was, "Stop making a tit of yourself and piss off" 😂
I just got into this show. Ironically through seeing Rochenda Sandall in TROS. I just liked her poise and demeanor so I went to see what else she was in and stumbled on this great show. It's mix of police procedural, office politics and the ups and downs of life. I love it.
Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to produce this, must've taken a while. Great effort, much appreciated. Ted Hastings on a par with Gene Hunt in another great cop show(s).
My ex husband was from Belfast and always used “you’d think I came up the Langan in a bubble.” It caught on so now I say came up the river on a bike lol and an Irish Dr I worked with always said “Jesus Joseph and Mary. “. it all brings back so many memories. I can’t get enough of this show. I wish BBC Canada would bring it over here. The tight bastards lol I had to watch on BRITBOX 👍🏽💞
Oh shit.... about a year ago my mates started taking the piss out of me saying ‘fella’... think I have just realised where I accidentally developed it from.
Yup 49 bent coppers here! The series is unreal. I just watched a high budget Hollywood movie that was awful, they should learn acting from these guys. Everyone is sooooo good, but Hastings is something else. Just brilliant

My favourite line is when he like "these charges are like grandmas nightgown..it covers everything" 😂😂😂😂
The pause between the two lines is what gets me.
That’s the one I was trying to remember! “Great work, I’m proudaya”
Thats mine aswel best one yet.
My jaw dropped and I laughed when Hastings said that. My favorite line from him too. Love him.
Just watched that episode for the first time. Crazy good but that line stood out for me 😂😂

A classic Irish saying that one

Same here. 6 episodes at once, 4 days in a row. Total addiction.

I just binge watched 4 series in 3 days during 20/20 lockdown.

I have always loved Hastings from the first episode - “to the LETTER!” 😄
"Fancy yourself a bit of a comedian, eh. I have a man in the hospital and that's no laughing matter."
It's the eyes that does it for me. Great actor.
This is a TED Talk I can really enjoy. :)
