Barn quilts are fabulous. When my husband I drive somewhere we don’t take main highways, we take parallel roads and it is amazing how many barn quilts can be found. I love that this will be a series.

I’m happy you had such a good time on your trip. Now that you are retired you can go anytime you want, avoiding all the summer crowds and heat. I hate rats and mice. Really hate them. I don’t blame you one bit for screaming. I love your Blue Flower Camper piece. Because of seeing yours I bought the pattern. I have yet to start it. Your designs are beautiful and now that you are retired you can pursue designing. I’m looking forward to see what you come out with next. Have a good two weeks.

Cool Moose & trip ... new design, It's So Cute!!! Love the campfire story. I was doing yard work with hubby years ago and a little white Vole or Mole whatever they are called, jumped out the ground, there was no hole it just came out of the land & I bet my scream was a loud as yours. And my Hubby laughed too. Men!! On this past Tuesday we went to a Lake, he fished from the shore, and I was ready to begin cross stitching, I got ONE stitch in, and he calmly walks over to me and says Don't Move, there's a snake, you'll be fine. I did an internal Scream, then another that he could hear, he shooed the snake and I ran away!

🎉so glad you're back from a wonderful trip. Our family took several trips to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone back in the 1958-1962 era. We had 9 people in a station wagon and pulled a pop-up trailer. Not much room in the car once we were all in there, but we got along fine and made wonderful memories we still reminisce about today. You made some great progress on stitching also.

So glad you're home to do a video again but glad you had a great time. Barn quilts are great - Ohio has quite a few barns with Quilts on especially in Amish country. You might do a search for Cats Meow in Wooster, Ohio - they have lots of meaningful barns with quilts on - Like the Ohio star. May have one that is meaningful to you - your state or someplace you visited. Love your new release, I really appreciate your new "job" designing - wonderful time to start, since you are retired from your other job.

I have a mouse adventure this week.too. i warmed up fried chicken and was eating it. I looked over and and 2 feet away was this mouse staring at me. I screamed. My land lady set a trap. The first night he got away with the cheese. The second night the mouse trap disappeared. I opened my sewing machine cabinet flap and there he was with his eyes looking at me. I screamed again. My land lady came down and said he's dead and removed him. I hate mice too.

Great video! Sounds like you had a great trip. When we were visiting my son in Colorado I was able to go to The Stitchy Store. I don’t have an LNS close to me so when I walked in I was in total awe.I didn’t know what to look at first, I could have spent the whole day there. I told my son next time he can just drop me off and leave me there. I didn’t get to go to Colorado Cross Stitcher because it was to far from my sons . Your new pattern is adorable, might have buy. Glad you had a great time away! I’m curious as to what you do with your birds while you’re away. We have a shop nearby where we can board ours, but I always wonder what I’ll do if and when it closes down. Not sure I can get a friend to stick their hand where a big beak lives!

What a great adventure! Such a beautiful part of our country, nothing like the West. You're doing great with your designs, love barn quilts too, lots of them here in Ohio. I'm not even bothered by outside mice and I'd have screamed like a banshee 😮. Happy you're home and stitching away.
