Vinland Saga OST | True Warrior Suite - Leitmotif Collection

- The leitmotif that I heard in many OSTs by Yutaka Yamada for his score in Vinland Saga. Incredible, it reminds me of the main message of the show each time it comes back.
At first it was Utopia that got me to really like the OSTs, and then I heard Flashpoint, and I figured that this was a reoccurring theme. I've then found other OSTs that have this same theme, it sounds just as good in each, but in a different way.
I kinda tried to order the individual OSTs have a increasing flow to them, like buildup, climax, resolution, and then climax again with Volition, not sure if that was good or not there may have been a better way to mix this.
Also I'm probably not using the word suite right, idk it just sounds cool loool
There are likely more OSTs that contain this leitmotif, please let me know which ones I missed.

Volition is an incredible track and easily my favorite, not only for the range of emotions it carries in the melody, but also how much of Thorfinn's journey you can hear within it. OP pointed out the motif it shares with the pieces before it, which draws back to the Small Village track, but the first thing I noticed was how much it sounds like Battleground. It's an exceptionally fitting piece to have at this point where Thorfinn is standing on the threshold of battle, yet he's choosing to remember what Leif told him about his ancestors that day on the dock.

really cool compilation, especially loved the shortened volition- i did not appreciate that track until i caught the name of it in this video

Violition is a true masterpiece. I think it portrays Thorfinn's journey so well! It almost makes me cry every time I listen to it "but now I'm really proud of them" 🥲.

You made me understand something new in music (Leitmotif), I was wondering why I liked Hiroyuki Sawano music in Attack on Titan so much! I always hear some recurring themes in his music and the rearrangements he does are fire!
yep! it's something I learned in a highschool class and changed the way I look at music scores in shows and animes forever.
