The clean, "chime-y" tone of the guitar, the thick delay and echo with that chord progression at the beginning of the song and the heavy echo on the vocals pretty much reached out of the speaker and grabbed ahold of my ears the first time I heard this. His phrasing and use of space in the song is also fantastic. Also really like the way he uses his vibrato and scooped notes. This sounds like it's straight out of 1960.

I've noticed a lot of older songs are sung slower too, which makes them easier to follow along with. I really like how he found someone who looked like Marilyn Monroe for the video too.
I just found out about him like yesterday... seriously, so been looking for reactions from musicians.
I think Celine Dion has a fantastic vibrato. Is she pop though? IDK. Have listened to her for over thirty years now.
