    This is an excellent video, very easy to follow, and the color added to indicate removal is very helpful. I am making notecard and envelope sets from recycled materials, and have been looking for instructions for making a reinforced box.

      Thank you so much! I’m so happy that you found my tutorial helpful. Which bone folder are you asking about? If it’s the pink one, it’s an old Martha Stewart bone folder. I’m not sure if you can find it anymore.

    Mimi, your tutorials are spot on. So detailed and easy to follow. When I watched Armin’s video, I was actually wondering if the acetate was inside the bottom box or outside so your tutorial answered that question. So happy you made this tutorial. I love that your box is reinforced. TFS!!! 😀

    What do you do if you want a paper lid? Do you use same measurements as acetate?

    Question…if your lid is to be placed OVER the bottom, rather than IN it, what additional measurement should you use when cutting the lid? (The lid would need to be a little larger than the bottom since it goes OVER.)

    How do you lift the acetate out of the bottom to open. Would you put notches on the side so you can lift out ( if this makes sense)

  • @siriuscrack7393

    How would you make a box for something larger than the 12x12 cardstock?
    I'm not sure if you covered it in the video already; I watched the first few minutes, but it didn't sound like you were going to.
    I've been looking around for an answer to this. I'm not sure if I should just overlap and glue multiple cardstock pieces together, or if the thickness of the overlap would be too noticeable. That's probably what I'll end up doing if I can't find an answer though, and just hope it isn't.

    In doing normal lid /cover with paper, we normally give an allowance of 0.4inches, doesn't it apply here for the transparent film?

    How do. You open when acetate is inside. Would you notch the sides so you could pull up acetate. (If that makes sense ) lol. Love the video!

    • @MimiJocelynDesigns
      @MimiJocelynDesigns  Рік тому

      There’s no need to notch anything really. The lid can be pulled out without any issue. But it’s totally up to you. Feel free to add some type of pull if you feel it’ll help. Glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great day.

      Love this video but I have one question-
      Do you glue the corner flaps on the acetate lid in place before placing it into the box or are the free folding?
      I appreciate you sharing your talented ideas with us!
      Betty

    • @MimiJocelynDesigns
      @MimiJocelynDesigns  Рік тому

      @@bettyg4250 Hi Betty! Thank you so much for your sweet comment. The flaps are not glued down for the lid. The acetate is thick & rigid enough to hold its shape to tuck inside the bottom. Hope that helps! TFW!
