Reading and Northern 2102: The Fall Foliage Special

- Its a rainy Saturday on the RBMN, but that doesn't stop the massive Reading T-1 #2102, from getting her passengers up and over the blue mountains to the scenic town of Jim Thorpe. The cold air makes for some great smoke shows, and the wet rails of the days rain means the engine crew is working the big 4-8-4 more than ever to lug the 17 car train up the grade. Lets follow 2102 and her crew on this extremely wet and cold day, as they battle and concur the grades of the RBMN's Reading mainline. The rain never stops us photographer from catching a train, but it does leave for some challenges, like back spray onto the lens, which becomes more apparent towards the end of the video. Enjoy!

Spectacular video! My wife and I were in the second dome car on this trip . This film is extraordinary. Thank you for doing such a professional job with the filming and editing. We will savor this for years to come. My leaf peeping days from years in Maine taught me that rain can be pretty sweet on autumn days. It takes the matte colors and adds gloss to leaves and asphalt which can be enhancing and mesmerizing. Thank you!

My son is special needs and he loves trains 🚆🛤🚋🚞🚝🚊🚉🚈🚇🚅🚄🚃 especially steam locomotives 🚂 like 2102 and is glad that Reading and Northern restored it to operation and hopes that real soon or sooner than soon that her sister engines 2100, 2101, and 2124 are restored to operation but he doesn't want that to be wishful thinking he wants it to be a reality! He also recommends FMW Solutions for help in the restorations because steam locomotive restoration is one of their primary functions.
