I only really got into Isaac over the past few years personally, after owning Rebirth for a good while. I've played around 50 hours of the 2011 version now off-stream & had some fun with it, it's worth a revisit for it's little differences imo
@@KillysuntDLCI've played Isaac since the very beginning, and I've beaten both games 100% as the DLC came out over the years. Original Isaac had about 4 big updates, the first of which was the "Halloween update" which introduced Sheol, Satan, Mom's Knife, and a few more cool things. One thing a lot of people don't realize unless they've been with the series since the start, is that the final update to Flash Isaac, the "eternal update", actually came out after Rebirth was already long out, and it forced a lot of players who had already beaten Rebirth 100% (at the time) back to the original game to reclaim their 100% by beating the game with all the characters in the new hard mode. Hard mode introduced all the absolutely irritating white enemies, nerfed the D6 so that it randomly deletes items, and added a HP cap where there didn't exist one before. A lot of the white enemies, especially bosses, had special behaviors that have never been added to Rebirth (I remember the worst being Eternal Super Envy where the heads will recombine back together when they touch). The only element that actually made it into Rebirth was the "Eternal D6" which replicates the nerfed D6 in hard mode, although with a 2-room charge instead of 3. I guess this is a long winded way of saying: if you want to enjoy original Isaac the way we all enjoyed it back in the day, seriously don't play hard mode first. Get your completion marks with all the characters in normal mode, then tackle hard mode for a masochist challenge once you have mastered the game. Personally I hated every minute of hard mode, but I got through by reminding myself it wasn't The Lost (which, back in the original release of Rebirth, did not have the option of starting with Mantle.)

Do you also have low fps in this game ?
It's mostly fine for me, it was input lag because of Joy2key that I mostly had issues with but I play with KBM now. I've had fps issues, maybe a couple times now, & seen a few people on Steam mention it, from what I can tell the game can be a bit weird with CPU, so might be worth tinkering with it in task manager
Bro wrath of the lamb is on classroom6x so i play it at school sometimes (btw its super laggy)
me beating the game 3 years ago: :-0 that was hard :-0
isaac pro plays isaac for the first time
Where do i play this;-;
This one is the Steam version, there's a demo version on Newgrounds as well
The ui at the top reminds me of the first zelda game
Lots of influence from early zelda in Isaac, one of the bosses (Chub) plays pretty close to Dodongo
"the original" oh so the newgrounds fla- I'm so old
Didn't rebirth just come out like a year ago????
You handled eternal edition way better than you had any right to lol
Stand proud, you are strong
Despite some very silly mistakes like throwing Bob's Head inches away from my face, I did my best 💀 (& will play more soon)
man I'm finally doing 100% in this game soon, but I'm just suffering, white champion enemies are so hard, the amount of pickups you get, the rooms where it's impossible not to take damage, still great game but so annoying, rebirth is SO much better
@@9fran9rosatti9 I'm getting there, I'm more used to the eternal enemies and bosses by now but it's absolutely more difficult and the smoothness of it is night & day, I tried Rebirth again and I felt like I was playing in hyperspeed, it's like taking off training weights
this is the original
You should try the newgrounds demo.
@@SigmaPwn-p9k6j I think I should at some point too
Bought this game because it is cheaper
how can you say you have 2000 hours in rebirth but you don't know what the flat penny does
how can you have more than 10 hours bro you even don't know what is this game
Got so many hours I forgot the early game basics, flash is harder as well tbf
As a person who has 300 hours in Tboi
WHAT THE VOID IS THAT SPIDER BOMB
Glad these monsters arent in the present day
Eternal enemies my friend
this game looks like it was made in scratch
Bruh, you have 1000+ hours in rebirth and you are playing this like it's your first fucking time in that game
@@This_dude69 Yeah I've said it loads already but I probably lost sight of a lot of the early game items that make up the flash game by the time I played it, plus all the other shit like playing it on hard mode (eternal enemies etc) Joy2key input lag, blah blah etc etc. Almost got this version finished by now though
