    I love my ‘17 FX. Got the tubliss in the rear and it pulls @ 6psi. 🤘🏽

      Andrew Pardo I plan on doing tubliss as well after these tires are worn out but even with high psi stock tires this thing refuses to spin coming off a 2 stroke I cannot believe the traction I have all the time I can imagine what yours is like

      Get Outdoors I also added a G2 Throttle Tamer and loaded the FMF woods map and my bike is such a blast.

    Nice review! I hate down hill sections too, how did this bike feel going down hill? I’m really thinking about getting one, ride event is in 2 weeks. Currently between a KTM exe and this.

      TheStackingNerd hey thank you buddy! I appreciate that thanks for the sub!! So I was in the exact same boat as you the only reason I picked Yamaha is I love a four stroke in the sand that’s all if you do mostly singletrack the ktm is most peoples pick but this thing between steep steep singletrack and log hops or anything it does anything I want In fact I feel no disadvantage it is definitely heavier than the ktm if that’s a issue for you

      Get Outdoors thank you for the reply! I’m a 5’4 woman racing hare scrambles and enduro events, so I’d definitely say where the weight is on the bike matters most for me. I hear the YZ’s weight is situated higher than the KTM’s. I will say after spending a riding season wrestling a DRZ 400, anything feels light!
      Either way beautiful bike!

      @Lostonabike  4 роки тому

      TheStackingNerd for enduro I would definitely go with the 2 stroke. In racing the YZ will stall on you a lot unless you are good with the clutch. Just make sure you check the seat hight on the KTM, because for your hight I think a beta 200 would be your best bet. Because the beta has a shorter ride hight stock but either one is a solid choice.

    Thinking about buying this next month instead of the yzf250 just not to sure yet...

      The hardest decision ever is getting a new bike! It depends on your riding style honestly

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  5 років тому

      Malin16 if you ride mx only the F is the bike but believe me if you ride mountains and singletrack this bike has more power than I’ll ever need and it doesn’t break traction easily at all!!

      Get Outdoors I do a lot of trail riding but I have to run roads a lot where I’m from how’s the top speed on it ? And does it have enough power to come up in like 3rd to wheelie or have you tried ?

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  5 років тому

      Malin16 It can definitely wheelie in 3rd

    You need to leave the bike running and use the engine braking on the down hills

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  3 роки тому

      Yep tried hit the rear brake too hard too steep for engine brake to matter much

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  5 років тому +3

      Oliver Craft ktm 150! But I’ve owned ktm 450 250 2 stroke Honda just a wide range never felt toque like this bike is geared low so it’s a fun trail bike

    F.T.W.C- The FX models are just stripped down WRs.

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  4 роки тому

      Daniel C I disagree The WR is a absolute weapon in tight woods and very nasty train the FX models are amazing when things open up just a little and you need that extra power in the mid range sometimes I feel I would have more fun on a WR and then sometimes I would never trade my FX for the world

    • @danielc5205
      @danielc5205 4 роки тому +1

      @@Lostonabike The FX and the WR are built on the same platform. Same chassis, same engine, the same suspension, the same transmission, etc... P.S I'm not traking about the WR 250R, I'm talking about the WR 250F.

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  4 роки тому

      Daniel C it’s the same suspension same motor and all this is true but they’ve built it specifically for the use they’ve got different valving differences they’ve got differences in ignition timing that fine tunes it for the purpose

    • @Lostonabike
      @Lostonabike  4 роки тому

      Daniel C valving differences meaning suspension

    • @danielc5205
      @danielc5205 4 роки тому +1

      @@Lostonabike The suspension valving on the FX and WR(F), are the same. The ignition timing is the same, but the U.S WRs, you'll need to install the GYTR ECU ($150) and install the shorter throttle stop yourself. The WRs do have a ball gag in their air boxes, which is easily removed. And, they do have a more restrictive exhaust silencer with spark arrester, which also can be easily uncorked as well. I didn't mean to start an arguments, all I was saying is that the FX and WRF models are the same motorcycle, even though the WR has more options on it.
