My teacher did something like this but there wasnt an auction. There were dollars ( for example your miss. Thomson so it would be called Thomson dollars) and whenever we did homework we would get one and we cam but things like candy, one of those comfy chairs and no homework. It was really fun!

We did something like this but with a economic thing so we would pick jobs every term (based on what we wanted to be when we grow up) and we got payed that many dollars a day if we did a 9-5 and we had to pay rent and o a tax write off but u could also get more money by doing homework, cleaning ect I never spent a dollar until the last auction I had 300,000 dollars saved up
