The 2025 Subaru WRX TS edition is coming with a fair few changes over the 2025 Subaru WRX, and pretty big differences from the 2022 Subaru WRX and 2024 Subaru WRX. If you want a comparison, check out this video.

For a guy that "loves" the wrx you sure are overly negative about it. The tS has adaptive suspension, brembos, digital gauges, and Si-Drive. Subaru has also said that this will replace the TR which is $42K, but often sells for under msrp. If the tS is close to the TR pricing then sign me up

It's ironic that he owns a business focused on WRXs but puts out these nitpicky whinefests on UA-cam. It's like he is just regurgitating negative Reddit posts using his WRX as his backdrop with the occasional B roll. Meanwhile you have channels showcasing amazing mods and talking science or maintenance. Sure, the car is more expensive these days, but so is everything, and if I wanted to listen to someone bitch about inflation I'd turn the channel to Fox News.

Most of his videos are complaints about the wrx. It's clear that he wants something else. The TS sounds interesting to me since I really want the adaptive suspension with a manual transmission.

@@diallo1347 I ordered the GT as my retirement gift to self so my wife can safely drive it if her outback is in the shop. Question I have, can you lower or lift the car with adaptive suspension? I'm not interested in doing what a lot of folk do to these cars, dropping them to the ground, would rather make it drivable on more terrain. Going to tune it eventually to be within the limits of the Japanese CVT STI hp/torque limits 310/310 and tighten up the handling + improve the brakes. Everything I've seen about VBs on mechanic YT channels highlights them as being the best Subaru have put out, and there aren't any realistic offerings of AWD automatics with comparable power and handling within my budget. I'm excited for when my order arrives.

I couldn’t agree with this comment anymore. This dude is just spewing the bs and incredibly undereducated comments on Facebook and Reddit. This car replaces the TR and all trims not just the TR are always sold at the minimum 2k off MSRP. The WRX is not Subarus money maker the suburban mom cars they sell are so dealers will absolutely let them go for deep discounts. Complaining about pricing is absolutely pointless. Every car manufacturer has increased pricing across the board not just Subaru. Sure people could have gotten an STI 5 years ago for 37k but this isn’t 5 years ago where Covid wasn’t a thing and inflation wasn’t at an all time high. People need to educate themselves.

@@tevintom251 STI today would easily be 47k+, and it would still compete with other companies' base offerings at that price point. This is besides the point that the VB makes for the best platform to mod something better in most ways than the last STI. I only wish Subaru released a made for mods version that provided better warranty guarantee along with warranteed aftermarket parts and labor. It's a billion dollar industry that could allow Subaru to test products via the folks using them as mods.

Everything about Subaru, more like hearing a dude standing in front of a one but does not show anything except talking.

A few things: 1) the TS won't have paint matched cladding (kinda sounded like you were alluding to that). 2) you can't really compare the ra to this release. The ra was an STI, and it was hand built by a special team at Subaru. This car is largely a cocktail mix of the GT and the TR, aside from the stitching on the seats and the gauge cluster.... Which leads me to point# 3) that weird thing at the end about somebody wrecking their new car so you can buy the gauge cluster..... 🫠😅 4) I see you lost some weight, congrats

Dude, no one is paying over MSRP on any WRX. As said below, the TS replaces the TR which already sells below its $42k MSRP and the TS should be priced somewhere around the GT. Next year interest rates and inflation should be higher than now which will still impact new car purchases. This isnt even close to an RA either. That was an STI more hand built for the most part. I think you are way off on your $50k MSRP guess

Subaru should just make another STI. A great video brother. Have a great week. 😊

The rising cost of these cars tracks with inflation, the cars are selling which tracks with demand and Subarus understanding of its consumer base, and the VB beats out STIs in many ways thus negating the need to implement a less efficient, slightly more powerful edition. What I'd love to see is a 'kit edition' where you pay slightly more for a forgiving warranty that allows you to install mods via Subaru approved mechanics. Subaru could make a lot of money if it linked up with a major mod vendor and installed/warrantied a wider range of aftermarket performance and cosmetic mods.
Your opinion is obviously subjective, but you contradict yourself several times in this video while you push the narrative that Subaru is out of touch with its consumers when, in reality, they are just out of touch with you. Or you them...

I think TS will become new flag ship trim over the GT and slotted 800-1000 over the GT. All my opinion, I am going to say when WRX gets a face lift maybe in 2026, Limited and GT will gain the digital gauge. Because as of now there is not enough difference between the Premium and the Limited for the cost difference.

The least they could do is, put a STI transmission in it.

they need to bump the HP to at least 300. What a difference this car makes on a stage 1 tune. Which should have came out this way through the factory.

Hell yes its worth the money, every penny i paid 28.6k was worth it. Another 2k for Cobb AP and ETS intake + 3 fuel tunes, and its been a blast rolling around in 400/470 car. Surprised alot of V8s out there. Thats a whole 50/120 over my VA.

sorry this is my first WRX (2023) and didnt do a history lesson here - is this normal for WRX - I describe the WRX like a PlayStation or Xbox - they keep coming out with new version which is much like the original but with one little difference (PS4 vs PS4 pro). Seems like a cash grab and nothing else - was this always the case?

      Yes
      Especially in the Japanese market
Having special editions make most enthusiasts excited and potential owners to have something that stands out a little more than other trims. Also shows the manufacturer cares enough to allow their team to create some special trims.
