    I do it the same way but I add more water and put the lid on. They come out perfect every time and I love it. I go to Costco only to buy these (but always end up getting $100+ worth of other goods by accident)

    I highly recommend boiling them and then frying them. Instead of frying then covering with water so it gets soggy. I like mine crispy, but that’s just me.

    I sauté mine on all sides then add a bit of water and cook for a few additional minutes. They get crispy on all sides that way.

    That's a fair assessment. I didn't like them when I bought from Costco. But they are a little bit better steamed.
    However the Beef Mandu Korean style dumplings (Bulgogi flavor) at Costco are very tasty. I fried them and more times than not I steam them. We put them on white rice. They are on the cold and frozen list for grocery delivery currently.

    They need a bit of more cooking time. I spend time with my Korean friends and they do it kinda similar but they put the soy sauce in the pan and stir it. After the ling lings have a sorta brown color you take them out. This is a great recipe and stem it makes it that is a bit crispy but not too crispy

  • @jerseygangel

    My family likes them but I add them to stir fry vegetables after cooked and pour the sauce all over. Not too bad for a week night quick meal.

    Ling Ling’s cooking instructions are complete bulls**t. We’ve been cooking frozen dumplings for years (my wife prefers Ling Lings, unfortunately), and I always just saute them in oil, flipping occasionally. The directions on the package are adequate (barely) for like 5 dumplings, but for a grown adult or a family… no chance. Ling Lings are definitely my last choice for dumplings. Bibigo’s bugolgis are much better.

    The other Costco potstickers are 1,000% better.
    Honestly I hate these they're gross. Not even being elitist.

  • @user-jr3zm1jb5s
    @user-jr3zm1jb5s Рік тому +1

    Ive made many types of potstickers, endless list. Ive tried many, frozen and authentic. These are by far the worst no matter how you prepare them. Way too much of the flour and wheat skin dough. Not NEARLY enough good ingredients. the dough is so thick and each potsticker or dumpling could easily make 2 if prepared properly, (thinner layer) and meat is generic. buy some goya skins yourself, brown some ground beef *or chicken, turkey, pork) , lil spicy mayo, with red cabbage....spoonfull in a square (or circle if you get those), and just do EXACTLY what Chef dawg just did. i would suggest chilling almost freezing them first. unless you know what yer doing. My Favorite that i make is Beef, ketchup and yellow mustard, with pinch of fine minced onion and dill pickle. BBQ dip or ranch XD. I know i know...so what

    Dude, those are the worst frozen dumpling product ever put on the market. You can get the cheaper brand, Wei-Chuan, for half the price and they actually taste like they could have come from a dingy Chinese takeout joint. But the Ling Ling? I am on your wife's side...they're horrible, even on sale.
