Please comeback to streaming on UA-cam cuz rumble always doesn't work right it freezes or won't do good quality or just won't load. And I've got way good Internet it's a rumble thing
Maaaaaan idk. That sw flip front flip was crazy. I guess because of the sketchier landing he couldn’t win with that but I still think that trumps Viannas trick even though that was gnarly af too. This was a good one. Congrats to Gio 🎉
I think the judges should give lower scores to skaters that does almost the same tricks, and give higher points to the ones mixing it up, if someone did like halfcab to nose blunt or whatever, he that dude does a flip trick next time it should get more points than someone playing it "safe" just doing stuff on rails without flips in every single try. Giovani won by not doing one single flip trick in the trick section...i mean stuff like that isnt entertaining
By your own standards Milou would have an even lower score, since he did basically the SAME TRICK TWICE, the only difference one was backside and the other frontside. Also he started all his tricks with a simple kickflip, how's that versatile? Scoring was more than fair. Give the trophy to the guy that did higher level tricks (I don't care about switch, much cooler to see a higher level trick regular than the millionth Flip Backlip) and landed them perfectly.
Would've probably been the other way around if this would've been in Marseille or Paris. Milou was by far my favourite in the end, but I think 99% of scores were fair in this tournament.
I wonder if Giovanni is in his prime right now or if he will continue this crazy progress. That guy had destroyed leg a little while ago and he came back twice as strong.
You're crazy, this maneuver is rare in competitions. The difficulty of a maneuver is not how many turns the skateboard makes in the air, the difficulty of Giovani's maneuvers are all based on his blind spots
Yeah but Yuto gets lower then 9.4 these days for his nollie 270 noseslides and lipslides and those tricks have even more blind spots then Vianna Fakie 180 Back Smith, definitely not worthy of 9.4@@lucasguimaraes9811
Not technical enough. It should have been 9-9.2. Milou was robbed. Although his sw flip front lip shouldn't have been 9. Too sketchy. I'd say 8.7 or something. Still a pretty good final battle
Nope, fs half cab bs smith into huge handrail is crazy trick and he did it perfectly. Plus it was the first time somebody did it, we’ve seen sw flip lips before and that lowers the scores for Milou. Lipslides are way easier than bs smith anyway.
This is so inaccurate. Half cab into anything on a handrail is insane and asking for a bad fall. Half cab into a bs Smith on a big hand rail is nuts. You are legit blind popping into and locking in.
Bros thank you I have not watched competition since I watched the San Francisco St. skate competition I don’t know who made it back in the day it was good yeah and I was bored easily
Giovanni killed it!!!! Personally i think the judges scored a few of his tricks a bit low... BTW can we punish Gustavo for only doing tre flip variations or crook nollie flip.. that's all he ever does and consistently gets pretty high scores. It's cheap in my opinion. He needs to show trick diversity
Punishing a dude for having some difficult tricks on lock is ridiculous. Once everyone else steps their game up, those scores will drop. If they didn't, the more simple tricks they were doing 10 years ago would still be getting 9's
@@poonslamming I'm not saying what he is doing isn't difficult. It's just he literally does that EVERY street league for the past handful of years. If it was other people they would expect more trick diversity. He literally does those tricks in his runs. They say they dock points for repeating tricks and so it's just confusing how the judging system works at these events....
@benmcreynolds8581 Every skater has their little bag of tricks that they do every time they're in. Joslin has the bigflip, Felipe has some switch flip nose grind or whatever, Nyjah has the nollie heel noseblunt on the big rail every time. Cab backup used to get a huge scores back in the day, but today it isn't worth much because everyone's got them. Just give it time. Things will change
They actually did. It wasn't SLS but at the last World Championship contest in Tokyo he got a really low score (around 50) for his line and he posted a story to bitch about it and ask a change of judges. Corey Duffel (one of the judges) even shared Gustavo's story to make fun of him.
Yeah I've been wondering about where that dude is? He showed such insane up and coming talent. Like a mixture of Chris Joslin and (fill in the blank ____?) The dude has a promising future. Hope we see more of him soon
Olympic qualifiers. SLS seemed to take a little bit of a participation hit from some pros due to that this past year. He's currently 3rd in the rankings. The next competition is March 3-10 in Dubai
For a super crown, which is supposed to be the premiere skateboard event of the year, this event did not stack up to the quality that title deserves. I watch every pro skate event throughout the year. The judging here was inconsistent at best, and I would go as far to call it straight up biased. Judging is also more pivotal with this format, so it must be on point or it changes the integrity of the contest. The amount of filler in the VOD and the choppy quality, scream inferiority when compared with other tier 1 events. And as a personal opinion, I think this format is flawed and pushes random skaters through over the best, due to the pressure that comes with having to land 4 out of 6 attempts. SLS is my favorite skate event, and I genuinely hope they will come back in 2024 with a reinvigorated product for skateboardings sake
I will agree in that the Line section seemed a bit skewed It wasn’t super unfair for all skaters but some I felt got the short end of the stick. McCoy definitely deserved higher than a 7 on his 2nd run. For 1. He didn’t fall, despite “missing” a rail trick which honestly we could see but he technically did a ride down the steps without falling which is impressive for the landing save on his kick-crook The fact that he had more flip tricks than Vianna at that point also made it abundantly clear that Viannas first run should’ve been a lower score. In comparison to what Ribeiro put out (which was crazy) I’d say everyone who flipped their board on the first trick of the Run should’ve been higher than Vianna. Flipping your board in any sequence tricks can be 50/50 chance But that’s just me
I agree. There were moments that were so out of proportion I actually lost interest in the outcome of the final. I wrote this 3/4 into it, and after seeing Viannas scores vs Gustavo Ribieros, including his tre flip nose blunt vs Giovannis half cab smith, it exemplified just how poorly the scoring was handled. An 8.5 for a run with 1 basic flip trick and a fall? Ribiero did two 360 flips in a row in his run. No one does that, and he scored only .8 higher. Cab tricks are way more consistent than top level flip tricks into grinds. The sky high scores given for multiple cab variations reflect either a bias for Gio or a lack of understanding of the complexity involved in consistently performing top level flip tricks.
Isso foi um ataque pro Gustavo Ribeiro .. ele fez truques mais difíceis do que o Viana … como vai ser possível 89 89 em duas ocasiões e a dificuldade?? Nossa que absurdo!!
You know you dont HAVE to say “progress daily and keep killing it” at the end of every video. Not hating, just saying. I do like your content keep it up. You’re a good guy and crazy good at skateboarding
The judges have been spoiled by Nyjah and how clean his flawless runs are. That's what they expect now. Leaves little room for going big in the finals. Playing it safe is a better bet these days.
Vincent is such a good dude. His sportsmanship and his positivity make you want him to win the whole thing
What sportsmanship from Milou ❤ Gz to Gio his style is flawless 👑

Rumble is better than UA-cam
Shoutout to Paul and Sean you guys are both great announcers.

It's weird not seeing Nyjah and Yuto here.

@theoistcool7907 Apparently they didn't qualify for the supercrown final.

I will never agree with how yall judge this. Vin won this hands down. 😢 Yall play favorites.
I think so too in this case, but Vianni was due to win some time too. Let's hope Milou is next.
