It is simple and sufficiently solid of origin without counting the many optional parts and possible variations. I bought a TT02B plasma edge 2 3 days ago following your video on it and I must say that I love this kit. I put the full ball bearing, a central aluminum card and a super stok RZ motor from tamiya. That you good, I have fun like crazy with it. Next kit a DT-02 viper then will win a TT02 rally for fun. Continued Gleen, I adore you, you are the best to sell us dreams made in Tamiya ...
I own a 2004 ST170 Australian car... prettiest car ever made... that WRC body kit is $1900 from the UK... it's tempting to own a 1:1 version. I would finish it in the BP Livery too... however the Martini is tempting
Glen, Tamiya does do a flat black in TS, namely the TS-6. TS-14 is the gloss black. I only know this because I needed to touch up the backing on my Mazda3 TT02 drift body and I was too lazy to buy 6mm masking tape to remake the window masks and wanted to do it via brush. BTW, thank you for the tips to dress up my car like painting the tire lettering. The Focus isn’t bad. If you didn’t mention the flaws, no one would’ve noticed it. I certainly wouldn’t and I’ve messed up my said Mazda3 by backing the PS-17 color coat with PS-23 gunmetal which gave it a weird blue hue (because the gunmetal actually has metallic blue fleck). Still looks good but yeah, if no one notices it, just carry on. Lol

Love it Glenn. I'm a massive wrc focus fan. I'm on the look out for this shell now. Rc decals will do you whatever focus decals you need from the 2001 /2002 sticker sets. So you can just ask for lights and windows if you wish. He's helped me before. But it the best rally job you have done in my opinion. 👌
Looks great Glen and nice to see a TT01 getting some love too. The buggys are awesome but for shear looks the Rally and Racing cars are stunning. I'm just starting the Tamiya Lancia Delta on the TT02 chassis, my favourite all time rally car. In fact I had to rekindle the good times by watching the 1992 RAC Rally on UA-cam. I used to go every year so I've probably seen your Focus in the flesh. Awesome times, the golden years of RC celebrating the golden years of rallying. Top stuff...

I made my own stickers when I built mine as nobody produced them. The stripes and BP petals are made from cut vinyl and the rest I redrew and had printed. I made the window frames from vinyl too so I didn't need to use the original sticker sheet at all. P.s. Kuhfarben is pronounced "coo-far-ben" 😊
Looks incredible!! I watch rally a fair bit despite not being very up to date with the ins.and outs of it these days. I still don't have a rally RC. Something I really should do at some point.
Wow. My self diagnosed ADDHD would not allow me to have some thing come out this good. I love building the chassis and doing everything else besides the body work. I wish I had your talent. Heck, I would pay somebody to paint the three or four bodies I have.

As I have just bought a RS ford focus with original decals RS park Martin & rear spoiler & wing mirrors still intact but faded so will need painting the window decals are black so was thinking of seeing if icould get back to being clear & buying the driver cockpit like the what you have in the focus good with more builds cheers

G'day Glenn mate howzitgowin there is TS flat clear perl clear. Saturn clear and gloss. I used to have a Tamiya paint stand a long time ago I memorised all the part numbers of all colours but can't remember now getting old sucks lol
I think this livery is a good one, like it a lot more than the martini or RS one. Little question, is the mirror on the leftside, not pressed in properly, I think I can see the edge of it? Excellent work there mate :D
Personally I’m good with at least the TT02 chassis (still haven’t built a TT01🤷♂️) being used under every new TC & Rally body Tamiya is releasing it’s a simple platform with decent performance if that’s what matters to you to me it’s all about the highly detailed body shells Tamiya is known for. It’s even better when something is Re-Re on a classic chassis like the TA02/02W or TA03R etc. Reality if it’s a true race build you are looking for using a Tamiya kit you are likely buying a TRF420 or TA07MSX etc then plopping a more generic non Tamiya TC body on it even if you were racing a TT02R or TT02 outside of a Tamiya TCS race you would likely still be using the more generic TC shells that conform to the rules of the class you are racing.

Beautiful body design. I would add panel lines, I think Kyosho sells 0.4mm adhesive ones which are perfect to enhance doors, hood, bumpers…

R u aware of Shapeways? They do 3-D printing for RC's whatever they don't have already, just tell them what u want and they will make it for u.
