I've been contemplating re-installing Witcher 3 and re-playing it for a few weeks... after watching this video I actually did it, and installed these mods. Wow! Super impressed with all the subtle, yet wonderful, changes to the game. Thoroughly enjoying it, thank you for taking the time to make this video - I highly doubt I would have been able to experience this new version of Witcher 3 without all your research into mods, and how to install them.
theres a team working on tools for cyberpunk modding so i think cyberpunk 2077 will be even more moddable than witcher 3 was since the engine is upgraded to red engine 4 compared to 3

But modding Witcher 3 always seemed so daunting, especially when the Enhanced Edition mod comes into the picture (really want to use that one). This tutorial is exactly what I needed. @@AhbibHaald with most of these plus some extras at highest possible settings I’m getting like 80 or more on 1440p but have random dips to 70 or some stutters but I’m guessing that’s just coz I have it installed on my hard drive not ssd but if you lowered the uhd remaster mod to supreme not extreme or whatever it’s around 100fps (My 3070 is overclocked )
I was on the fence whether I should buy TW3 again after playing it on my ps4, but your video totally helped me and motivated me at the same time! Thanks a lot

It didn't work for me when using Steam version of the game. I've tried patches and all the steps as you mentioned. BUT I've re-tried it with GOG version 1.31 and everything works perfectly! The game looks simply amazing. Thank you for your hard work and great, step by step tutorial!
I really appreciate you doing this tutorial, I tried other modding tutorial videos but they all over complicated it, luckily I stumbled across yours and it seemed a bit more simpler. I really wanted to have this game modded because i was a bit disappointed to see the visuals being similar to that of the console versions. I would've thought the pc version would've looked a lot better but now it can. At first i was a bit worried after reading the recent comments on how it didn't work for them but i followed the video carefully and read everything in the description and mod descriptions for extra measure. I am amazed how beautiful the game now looks. It honestly feels like I'm playing the e3 build. Thank you, all I need now is some kind of photo mode mod to take some killer screenshots.
Great starting video. really hope you will make more videos on further amazing mods aswell as some alternatives for subjective things like lighting mods, ui mods and so on, its sadly pretty rare to see good witcher 3 modding lists on youtube with a ton of people looking at the endorsement lists rather than the date of the mods

Thank you for this video. I came from Bethesda games modding and was confused - after finally buy TW3 in 2021 - why there are so many bugs posted on the Nexus page for nearly each mod, even the ones, which shouldn´t be that critical. With this video I now understand why so many people have trouble with mods. Game version, the chosen language version... That was really helpful!
1.) Keep shadows at medium or lower 2.) There's a file in bin/x64 named APEXCLOTHING(something like that), rename that file and put it in a backup folder just in case You'll notice a big fps boost and there's no graphical difference (as far as I can tell)
@@mattbulwark I just added a .bak to the end I believe that is the correct ending to make it a backup file, and it's so I can easily rename the file again to get it back
Thank you so much for this list! I am excited to try out Redux. Death March became pretty easy by itself. I ended up having to merge my own scripts in order to get it all working but now it is all setup to play!

I rate this build 29/75 fps needed for enjoyable experience on my potato. Although great effort and detailed explanation, everything works, which is rarely the case with mods.
Can i just say wow thanks for the tutorial and as it was my first time modding you were a great help and made this a breeeze. Your content surpassed my expectations, I subbed straight away as i coudnt of wished for a better outcome on my replay of my now modded the witcher 3. One question i hope you can help with which i missed at the bttom of description 'NOTE 3'. Do i download and install both files in Lip Movement and HiRes Shadows (and High Quality Heads) on NPCs in gameplay? (modEnableMimics_blinking & modEnableMimics_blinking_woShadows). I dont want to fall at the last hurdle lol

I was able to go from a mere couple mods before either crashing or having script errors. Now I have over 50 mods and everything's running smoothly ! With the one funny/weird exception of the fire/light mod: there's light, but there's no flame/fire. Back to the almost drawing board! But once again, thank you very much for your video. I'm doing a third playthrough; having these beautiful and challenging mods make the whole game that much better! EDIT01 - Ps: I discovered another weird issue: the in-game "mod" menu is currently nowhere to be found. EDIT02 - In-game mod menu not appearing has been resolved by simply adding the appropriate XML file in the The Witcher 3bin\config 4game\user_config_matrix\pc folder. EDIT03 - I'm just dumb... I didn't download the additional True Fires Compatibility Patch for the HD Reworked Project mod... Again, this video so freaking great!
Hey there mate. I've just got into the whole modding thing and I haven't got a clue where to start from. I'd like to just use the HD reworked mod since it changes textures everywhere. How easy is it to add this specific mod ? Any bug/ issue that I should be wary of ? Cheers.
Thank you for this great video. Started over after many years and with a new machine and your guidance everything is just perfect. Well... not everything... although I installed that patch from the video notes the lips don't move. All mouths are shut and I don't know what to do about that but the first hours are hell of fun again, though :D
If you use w3ee you don't need friendly hud. W3ee already comes with many mods built on. (Economy overhaul, preparations, friendly hud, friendly meditation and much much more)

I tried to install install your reshade but no effect in reshade.exe did work. I have no idea what occured because i use reshades really often.

You can just use inbuilt NVDIA tool, and NVIDIA Ansel as well (for panoramic shots). You're welcome!

I came from Bethesda games modding and was confused - after finally buy TW3 in 2021 - why there are so many bugs posted on the Nexus page for nearly each mod, even the ones, which shouldn´t be that critical.
With this video I now understand why so many people have trouble with mods. Game version, the chosen language version... That was really helpful!

my gpu barely runs this game at mid graphics, why am I even watching this
1.) Keep shadows at medium or lower
2.) There's a file in bin/x64 named APEXCLOTHING(something like that), rename that file and put it in a backup folder just in case
You'll notice a big fps boost and there's no graphical difference (as far as I can tell)
what gpu do u have?

I believe that is the correct ending to make it a backup file, and it's so I can easily rename the file again to get it back

Turn off nvidia hairworks it boosts fps by alot

Witcher 3 really needs new textures that was shocking
I rate this build 29/75 fps needed for enjoyable experience on my potato.
Although great effort and detailed explanation, everything works, which is rarely the case with mods.

Can i just say wow thanks for the tutorial and as it was my first time modding you were a great help and made this a breeeze. Your content surpassed my expectations, I subbed straight away as i coudnt of wished for a better outcome on my replay of my now modded the witcher 3. One question i hope you can help with which i missed at the bttom of description 'NOTE 3'. Do i download and install both files in Lip Movement and HiRes Shadows (and High Quality Heads) on NPCs in gameplay? (modEnableMimics_blinking & modEnableMimics_blinking_woShadows). I dont want to fall at the last hurdle lol

@@SinitarG wow brilliant very quick response. So just to clarify the second main download on the above nexus page. Then extract and put dlc file in witcher 3 dlc folder and mod file in witcher mod folder?
@@nrgyflash Did You get it to work? i have no lip movement, the merge seems to make redux prioritized over the Enable Mimics mod.. i'm going nuts xD
I was able to go from a mere couple mods before either crashing or having script errors. Now I have over 50 mods and everything's running smoothly ! With the one funny/weird exception of the fire/light mod: there's light, but there's no flame/fire.
Back to the almost drawing board!
But once again, thank you very much for your video. I'm doing a third playthrough; having these beautiful and challenging mods make the whole game that much better!
EDIT01 - Ps: I discovered another weird issue: the in-game "mod" menu is currently nowhere to be found.
EDIT02 - In-game mod menu not appearing has been resolved by simply adding the appropriate XML file in the The Witcher 3bin\config
4game\user_config_matrix\pc folder.
EDIT03 - I'm just dumb... I didn't download the additional True Fires Compatibility Patch for the HD Reworked Project mod...

Hey there mate. I've just got into the whole modding thing and I haven't got a clue where to start from. I'd like to just use the HD reworked mod since it changes textures everywhere. How easy is it to add this specific mod ? Any bug/ issue that I should be wary of ? Cheers.

Thank you for this great video. Started over after many years and with a new machine and your guidance everything is just perfect. Well... not everything... although I installed that patch from the video notes the lips don't move. All mouths are shut and I don't know what to do about that but the first hours are hell of fun again, though :D

How did you merged mods? Does not work for me tho
If you use w3ee you don't need friendly hud. W3ee already comes with many mods built on. (Economy overhaul, preparations, friendly hud, friendly meditation and much much more)

For anyone having an issue with the asi loader not working with GOG just go to GOG settings and disable "GOG Overlay" in the "In-game settings" tab
