- A new report found that about 800,000 New York households are experiencing food insecurity. One of the largest food banks in the state is having to get creative about how it helps to feed the millions of residents that go hungry every day.
"I've never seen the number of people who need access to food as high as it is now," Leslie Gordon, President, and CEO of Food Banks for New York, tells NBC New York.
"The number of visits are more than double what they were pre-pandemic."
