I heat my knife before cutting into styrofoam, it doesn’t make a mess, but you should do it outside… same reasons Bethany listed for melting through DT plastics.
I also use that method for “carving” foam pumpkins too 😊

🐰🐇 When you made the Easter baskets out of laundry baskets and foam I thought if you put Noel in there it would be great for pictures. I did one years ago and entered my daughter in a photo contest. We didn’t win but it was lots of fun. Awesome crafting 🥚🐣
