hey there Mr Jarvis. I just wanted to say thank you for the video. I did ask you to post a video of this with you talking about it. but this was even better. thanks from Canada! look forward to the erzberg video by the way ;)
It's nice and that laid to rest some folks questioning if he had ridden the TX 300... Really, it's not much different than stock and that's impressive. Custom valved suspension, clutch covers, pegs, and bars are common modifications. Maybe the Titanium FMF pipe is the one that cost a bit more. Rider = PRICELESS
Pretty much stock aside from exhaust and suspension work. Everything else is basically bolt on. Surprising no steering dampener, rekluse or anything... And I can't understand why he WOULDN'T use the TX?
+Neal Bartczak I'd thought of the damper and was a little confused too. If you look at his triple clamps, he's running the fork tubes a little bit up in the clamps. That really helps out your turning radius and cuts down on issues with a little more leverage on the front wheel. I don't run the steering dampers either, but I slide my forks up in the triple clamps too. I would have assumed at his level, he would need to use it with the freakish tricks he does. He's definitely the Kelly Slater of Enduro, older and insanely talented make for a seasoned phenomenal athlete.
Because I am a country distributor of this brand. This is a known fact in the distributor level. I know WP produces A-kit suspension for racers, but they are difficult to procure, access, lacking data, etc. WP cannot compare with Öhlins. If you look at the US Supercross. The Forks of Jason Anderson is custom made, by who we do not know. One thing, you will see FI in two stroke off road bikes next year.
golferchin76 Thanks for the detailed explanation. I know that teams will swop out their sponsored equipment and purchase a much better item in its place.
TheGh02t True, they change anything that's allowed. The off road or motocross bikes we regulars buy, their suspension components are a compromise between production cost and retail. Manufacturers try very hard to produce the best within a budget, which is really ok for most people. But if some can jump a double triple, can push the stock bike to over it's max. The stock suspension's severer bottoming can cause serious injuries.
You have seriously not even the slightest idea what you are talking about! The forks he runs in the video are 100% WP cone valve 48 mm closed cartridge forks, its super clear when you see the in detail. And the front end on Jason Andersons bike is a WP cone valve 52 mm closed cartridge fork with a mixture of carbonfibre and aluminium internals. The one on Grahams bike is a A-kit fork which anyone is free to buy from KTM powerparts catalog, and the one on Jasons bike is the "full" factory unit which is only possible to procure if you are connected to KTM factory. I had a set of forks identical to Grahams last year, and i have seen the 52 mm fork, which all the factory teams in Europe and US runs, completly disasembled as i have a close friend who is connected to a factory based team here in Europe. There is not an ounce of truth in what you are saying about any of the riders setup, total bunch of false facts!
I'm just surprised at how far up through the triple clamps the forks are pushed! I guess he definitely needs the trials-like turning circle and manoeuvrability more so that high-speed stability, so it makes sense, but I've never seen anyone run it pushed through 25mm or so like this. Might have to try it in tech stuff one day.
No, there are a few big differences. Main ones being the Husky has Linkage and the KTM has PDS. The Husky also has a composite subframe and different plastics/ergonomics so they feel very different between your legs too. They do share the same motors and many other things though. I reviewed a 2016 FE 350 on my channel if you are interested.
best way to see just how close they can be, just visit a parts site. Search up your Husqvarna in question and it'll list the KTM model that share those compatible bits. A lot are compatible, but mainly exterior parts when it gets down to it.
Hi There: I have been riding bike's for 45 yr.'s and to see The 2016 Iron Mt. winning bike up close and personal is Far Out man, I have (for38yr.s now)a 1976 husky Cr 360 that I'm restoring. If you can stay Off Ktm's teem( ;P ). It's good to see them with MUD on there face buy not winning all the race's out there. Erzberg is on my to-do list even if just to watch it. You Ride as one being no bike no person but unit. its Heavenly to watch.
Stay off ktm team?Mud in their face?I guess you didn't get the memo.Huskies are just white KTM's,a win for husky is a win for ktm.Every little moto maniac that goes out and buys a husky to be like Jarvis is padding the ktm bank account.Been a few years now my friend.IMO the white KTM's look better than the orange ones!
As I know it husky has it own engineer's from before the sale, and they have some parts that are the same as ktm, (Body. switchs, ext) not all are ktm parts. My cousin works For husky as a engineer for the last 25 Yrs. R&d is in house not ktm . They just mange the office and have say so about the money. ktm put a lot of money in to husky, but as a brand name it's different from who owns it. If a farmer owns 40 acres of oranges and 40 acres of co-op peanuts, can he keep all the money, No the co-op get its part. Husk is park of a co-op. We can go on for weeks :) Thank You for IMO and reply Rubber Down and wind in you Hair.
That makes sense.my apologies if I came across as condescending,I did not intend it that way.Was just being sarcastic but after re reading my post I can see it being taken in a different context. Thanks for the additional info :)
WE cool man.. we all write the way we fell at the time, for good or bad. I'm did not get upset, I see it; some plp get 3 pages of a memo and some get 5 pages of the same memo, it's that need to know office B.S.
The “HOT” STIC vs TPI Fuel injection: Extensive dyno testing reveals the STIC metering block installed in a Keihin Air Striker has lower emissions and greater performance than the TPI. The STIC/Keihin system compensates for altitude and temperature changes. The STIC is able to sense which engine it is on and to calibrate vapor production as well as air/fuel flow accordingly. In two separate parts of the world; Japan, KTM 250; and in the United States [New Mexico] a Husqvarna 300; they both run identical jetting. With the STIC the same jetting applies from sea level to +9000 feet. I am anxious to see Mark’s driving impression of his 2019 TPI compared to his 2017 with the Keihin A/S STIC equipped. I assure you that even with no Mod's Gram would beat the living he$$ out of the competition. Might as well put him on a Honda ct 70 and see what happens. At least then the other guys would feel like that had a chance.
crappy bike, worse rider in history !! thumb up if you have a good sense of humor!!! lmao GForce you are the highest extreme enduro idol to look up to! simply put!
He has such a unique posture on the bike you can tell he has absolute control over it
I never get tired of watching him ride , he and the bike are one, everything he does seems to be at idle, he’s the best of all times
Never feel bored see this video, youre my inspiration gforce
and the winning mod on the bike: the rider.
Tru
Very very nice bike, greetings from Brazil Graham!!
Congrats on the win champ! Great video!
Why arnt we seeing a limited edition Jarvis Husky like the six day .
Well, they already pre-sell every Husky TE300 made, so a Jarvis Edition might cause a Riot at some dealerships lol.
BigHoss P&R no they don't. I just bought one off the showroom floor
does anybody know if he switches over to the air Fork like the one on the TX or does he ride something similar to the stock TE
Now 3 years later there is
Excellent stuff, could run that as a screen saver/work reducer!
Husqvarna les MEILLEURS !!!!!!! 😍😍😍💪💪💪💨💨
The quality of this video is awesome! 😍
hey there Mr Jarvis. I just wanted to say thank you for the video. I did ask you to post a video of this with you talking about it. but this was even better. thanks from Canada! look forward to the erzberg video by the way ;)

cool vid. awesome rider.
Can you do an update for 2019? Or will you have to wait until the season is over?

I'm pretty sure he uses a hand rear brake as-well judging by the way he caught the wheelies without moving his foot
all hail legend jarvis
Jarvis Forever
So beautiful
any reason why the pros never use handguards? wouldn't a broken lever ruin a race for them?
Graham, What tires and mousse's did you run? Thanks
Goldentyre
What kind of tyres??
Goldentyre GT216
Just wondering what color power valce spring they are using?
Awesome!!!!
a question to the endurance riders who prefer rear suspension with linkage or as direct shock to the swingarm like ktm
did you open up the airbox?
Congrat's on the win Champ. Too bad Walker didn't race, so you could have beat him too.
Genio total
awesome!!
Amazing 😎
amazing :D
congrats
Гриша ты лучший !
He uses Öhlins by the way. Don't be fooled by the WP stickers.
how do you know this?
