you don't want to tighten the nuts in sequence. It must be opposites, think of writing a star. That way the wheel is more likely to be balanced.

It really does not matter if you are going to replace it soon.

@@catdaddy5192 lol the issue is the tire can fall off when the vehicle is operating at high speed thus causing a collision. I work in the auto industry. It's about safety.

@@catdaddy5192Do you think into consideration the fact many people who watch this video also watch it just to know how to change their tires in normal non accidental cases? What would it cost the guy who made the video to give a good advice on the way? Why do you come & make comments like this?

Spare tire goes on back, you need to do a double change if you get a front flat
Wheels nuts ae supposed to be tighten in a star pattern
The simple reason behind the star pattern of torqueing your lug nuts is to reduce wheel flexing and shifting. You see when you tighten a single nut, it keeps getting tighter and tighter till the point the wheel mounting face (what you're tightening against) gets stuck to the hub.

Super interesting ! :) Didn't know about the back tires thing.

Tonight I got a flat. I’ve never changed a tire before. It was cold and dark. I was high and panicking and pulled over and went to UA-cam. I also called my friend on FaceTime with my AirPods in. So the entire time I’m panicking and telling my friend about the situation. while looking for a solution. didn’t pay attention to the video at all. I couldn’t really hear the UA-cam videos audio because the FaceTime audio was louder than the UA-cam videos audio. So I stayed on the FaceTime call, watched some of the video , then began. I was using my hand to loosen the lug nuts instead of my foot. I also was jacking up the car wrong so it look me way longer. I was also trying to Loosen the lug nuts with the car slightly jacked up 😬 I couldn’t get the lug nuts off so I gave up and drove 2 miles home once I got there my tire was busted up. Moral of the story : don’t do drugs

This is gonna sound so random but, I had gotten a flat, pulled in to a horrible neighborhood and pulled up this video to change my tire. All of a sudden 5 cop cars show up and a big drug bust happens right in front of me. I have it all on video.

Note down your car year, make, model, info on tires, or take pics with your phone. Lock your car, go buy another suitable tire and rims or a spare tire set, come back and put it on.
      Or call a tow truck/mechanic.
Or buy a tire plug kit and air pump/air pressure metre pump and watch ChrisFix's How to chnage a tire video.

Some cars give you a spare wheel. Others give you a fix a flat kit. That's probably what you have and Toyota also has a video explaining how to use it.
