Hundreds of the biggest Back to the Future fans from around the world descended on Los Angeles October 21st - 25th, 2015 to experience a once-in-a- lifetime, 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Back to the Future trilogy, known as “We’re Going Back.”
“We’re Going Back” kicked off on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015, by taking fans to where it all began, Universal Studios, Hollywood. Fans enjoyed a tour of the Universal Studios backlot and got to roam around Courthouse Square and enjoy a special screening of Back to the Future II.
On Thursday, October 22nd, the town of Fillmore, CA was transformed into Hill Valley. Fans soared above the crowds on hoverboards with the help of the original hoverboard stunt team and actual members of Griff’s gang! Fans also escaped the Old West in an actual railroad- outfitted DeLorean Time Machine and came face-to-face with the actual diesel locomotive that smashed the Time Machine!
Friday, October 23rd, took fans on an exclusive journey to the original filming locations from Back to the Future!
On Saturday, October 24th, Doc set the time circuits to 1955! Fans had one final opportunity to attend the world’s most accurate, immersive recreation of the iconic “Enchantment under the Sea” dance! They mingled with the cast and crew of the trilogy and rocked out with the “Flux Capacitors,” featuring Marvin Berry!
Finally, on Sunday, October 25th, “We’re Going Back” took fans all the way back… to where it all began: the “Twin Pines” mall, aka “Lone Pine” Mall, aka Puente Hills Mall in the City of Industry, CA. Fans spent the evening immersed in an outdoor screening of the original “Back to the Future” film, talked to Dr. Emmett Brown via Video Telephone and experienced an epic Libyan chase recreation!

showed at the Hill Valley Cinema, the feeling of really flying on the skateboard and the experience in the mall and the band playing live there and Hill Valley location. Can't wait for the next We're Going Back... whenever that may be. Maybe for the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future Part II and Back to Future Part III. That's 2019 and 2020. Let's make it happen!

For a while after October 21, 2015, I went around asking people, "How was your Back to the Future Day?" I felt sorry for those who didn't do anything to celebrate because they didn't know about all the fun they missed!
