Das chunt drufah. Aber für s meiste findi de Marinellli am beste. Nur wenni deep pow im resort fahre nimi de Mallory oder wenni seeehr langi toure mache woni ned so schnell wöt fahre nimi de couturier. Aber für de ganz rest findi de marinelli am beste wil er schwer und robust isch und viel camber het, also au im harte richtig guete grip het und sehr guet dämpft. Zeme mitere liechte pin bindig chasch aber trotzdem no easy sehr grossi toure mache mit dem.

But. How come it had to take some accidents before you guys figure it's time to check local variations? 🤔
I mean, don't you do stabilisation test in the areas you plan to run/hike?
Thanks. Of course digging snowpits and doing stabilisation tests is a standard procedure that we always apply. Each day in norway we always dug several pits. The avalanche that caught us was another factor of which we weren`t aware coming from the alps. We didn`t trigger that avalanche but big ammounts of spindrift triggered a windslab at the top of a couloir that we where hiking up. We were aware of the possibility of windslabs at the top and therefore knew we couldn`t go all the way to the top. We also skied another couloir right next to this one before without problems. So it was just the combination of wind, spindrift, cold temperatures, loose snow and big rock walls that created dangers we weren`t that aware of.
