      Guess that means he's 100% not the best possible option, biology says so

    • @dahliacheung6020
      @dahliacheung6020 2 місяці тому

      See, what you describe is how reality actually works. But hypergamy just means "marrying above one's rank" or "dating up." These red pill or incel guys seriously believe that women are biologically programmed to go after the most attractive, wealthiest guy that will have them because evolutionarily speaking, those things would supposedly guarantee the best outcomes for her offspring.
      No, I'm not joking. Not even a little bit though I really wish I was. Anyway, when he says a woman will leave due to "biological hypergamy," he literally means that a woman will leave a man if a richer, hotter man shows interest in her, and that this is just the way the world works.
      It's absolute bullshit that can be disproven just by, I dunno, going outside and looking at couples in real life. Or, if touching grass is too scary for him, he can just go to Google and check out the surveys that psychologists and other researchers have done which show that the main reason why women will leave a relationship is not in fact because they're Chad thirsty, gold digging, back stabbing hos. 🤦 The misogyny is out of this world...

    As an adopted person, the first TikTok really set the mood for me and I already knew what kind of person that guy was. You don't pass your DNA so nothing's in it for you lmao. So I guess to him (and his followers) my parents aren't my real parents? Hell to him I'm probably not even supposed to be living in my own country since I was born Korean but adopted by French parents? Never mind that I was brought up French, have always been speaking French, and don't really speak Korean lmao. I find these people very funny, like DNA/blood's soOOoo important, what are we in 1387?? Is he royalty? or maybe his blood is super precious because it can cure cancer that's why! /s
    Also yeah fyi Gunnar: for the biological family in an adoptive or foster family setting, I always advise people to use the adjective ‘biological’ (parents/mother/father/siblings/etc.) instead of ‘real’ or 'actual'- because if they are the 'real' ones, it implies the adoptive family is 'fake' (when by all logic it should be the other way around in most cases). I also sometimes use ‘the person(s) who birthed/conceived me’ but it’s a bit longer lol. Ofc that's just my opinion and I don't talk for every adopted person, but it’s always something I inform people of.

    My bio dad wasn’t really in my life and my stepdad stepped up, even AFTER he divorced my mom… still is my dad and talk to him daily. One thing my bio dad would say to me growing up is that he wanted a boy to pass down his last name, and would guilt me FOR BEING BORN A GIRL. (he only has one kid, didn’t want any, and his siblings all have girls; so he’d say that i was the last hope to continue the family name and I FAILED) 🤣🤣🤣 wild takes in this, my bio dad probably watches his vids

    It's weird how in Western countries men care so much about body counts coz in my country people never ask. If it comes up in conversation, fine, but it's rare for people to directly ask how many people you've been with. And guys in my country actually prefer NOT to hookup with virgins anyway

    • @ryuhoshi3419

    Y'know what's the biggest fail of all these "dating advice givers" ever?
    They generalize and both humans AND relationships are way the fuck more complicated than what can be explained in a short video. Every single person and interpersonal relationship/situation is completely different from each other.
    So all of the TopGs are just farting in the wind. Even those in the 90s .. so called "pick up ARTists" bahaha

    • @Lucaz99
      @Lucaz99 2 роки тому +7

      For real. You can’t make a guide for all relationships and even if you could, there’s no way you would achieve that in a short form video app like TikTok. It just doesn’t allow for the time necessary to analyze complex relationships like the one humans form. Heck, even birds and mammals have more complex reasoning for their relationships.
      But these people can still scam some people for a good profit by boiling everything down to simple and easy to understand cliches

    I don’t get the issue with single moms. I was the kid of a single mom, had a runaway father. My mom remarried to a really great guy who adopted me a few years later. There is absolutely no difference in relationship between my dad and I than there would be if he was my biological father besides the fact that I have an extra sentence to use in a heated teenager vs dad fight (which luckily doesn’t happen often)

    It’s nice to see him defending single mothers, I’m 21 with an almost 2 year old, people can assume his father left me but they’d be wrong, I was the one that left because it was so toxic, constant lies, manipulation, etc. I was miserable so I chose to leave an wish I had sooner. It hurts hearing people say it’s a red flag because no, I’m just trying to make a better life for my son and myself even if it means being on my own. My baby deserves so much more. I’m in college full time because I want to do right by my son and get the best job I can get. Don’t judge just by what you THINK happened. Thank you Gunnar ✨

    Regarding raising someone else's child. It depends, because on one hand, it complicates things, since you'd need a compatibility of 3 people, not just 2 in terms of personality and how you get along. I don't pass on my DNA? It doesn't matter that much, I'm all for adoptions. Last name? That would count for me, to continue the family line. I would have some name changes, like attaching my name to his/her existing one. 0 authority? Well, it is lower since you're not his/her biological parent, so they'll probably feel less bound to you, since you weren't there all along the way, for their entire life. But on the other hand, I guess you can earn enough trust/credit/love to make it work. But yes, you might not ever be on the same level as a biological parent in the child's eyes. It depends on the exact circumstances of each case though. But let's be honest, as a step-parent (dad or mom) you start with a handicap compared to a biological parent. You might compensate for it, sure, but it takes more work to reach a good level than a biological parent would need.

    7:45 when it comes to "bad boys' whatamy women find appealing about them is what they represent. They represent adventure, freedom, and rebelling against authority (or whatever doesnt suit your moral code). Usually women who are attracted to bad boys (and this can be true for men who like bad girls) often lack adventure and thrill in their lives. Maybe they feel restricted, theyre always playing by the rules. The bad boy/bad girl represents a fantasy that we too can be free and take exciting risks.
    The other side to this is some people are attracted to the bad boy/bad girl because of the 'i can fix him/her and we'll live happily ever after" fantasy
