Great tips! Can’t get the Brutus monroe in the UK but can get other bits. Lovely to see a young man crafting! My son loves crafting too and it’s great. ❤️
I think, cleaning them is necessary but some stain gives the stamp a touch of character !! Thanks for this info -- I'm new to 'stamping' I'm starting to make ' Zines' with my photography
I've never heard of Squeaky Clean before. I always clean my stamps as I go. For dye inks I just rinse off in the sink. Otherwise I use spray on stuff that I've had for years. Thanks for the tip about getting my stamps to restick!
Thank you so much for this video! Do you need to rinse the ink cleaner off the stamp with water after cleaning the stamp? Or is just wiping the stamp off with a rag good enough? I am so happy I found your channel!
Simon, if I wore a white sweater while I was making cards😝. Good for you! You must be a much cleaner crafter than I am. Thanks for these great tips and products. I agree with you that the Brutus Monroe stamp cleaner smells so good!
Simon, you are such a breath of fresh air! Love your upbeat videos! They make me smile! By the way when are you and Rina K going to do another podcast or video?
Hi Simon, What do you use to clean Versamark off your stamps? I’ve tried MFT Ultra Clean with my Lawn Fawn shami, but it leaves little black flecks (dried ink from the shami) on the stamp, and also turns acrylic stamps cloudy.
You got your goodie package from Christopher...I can’t wait until you get to try all the holiday squeaky cleans! Look forward to more Brutus Monroe product reviews!
Thank you Simon. I think I may have spoiled my Misty type stamper called Stamp Easy, as I am relatively new to card making and after the Stamp easy was dirty I tried cleaning the clear plate side with nail polish remover (seen on UA-cam!). This has now gone very milky and my stamp do not stay on the plate every time. Please can you tell me if I am to late to recover this stamper and will have to buy another one. I would appreciate any tips you may have as I am in the UK.
Never cleaned a stamp or stencil in my life - I’m too lazy lol. I just let acrylic paint, Archival or Stāzon dry and they never move again (if I was using like yellow Archival after black, I’d just wipe it on a rag first). Stamps stained by Archival are SO much easier to line up - v handy for layering sets. I stain my clear, layering stamps on purpose to make that much easier. Water soluble dye inks don’t tend to stay behind enough on the stamp to need to wash them, and if they do, I just stamp it again on something else or use it to add texture to a background. I don’t use pigment inks or hybrids like Distress Oxide for stamping but i can imagine they’re messy as so sticky. I’ve found crafters fall into two camps - the ones who meticulously clean things and then the ones who are like me or Mrs Wakley who never clean anything!
Hi Simon,at around 3:27 you are using the archival cleaner on a shiny surface covering the graph paper on your Misti. Could you please tell me what that is? Also, I use Christopher's Squeaky Clean and I love it! I don't use anything else. I also use it to clean my mat after making several messy projects. I have the rose water scented. So nice. Very informative video. Thanks for posting.😊
Great ideas. Thank you for the video. My question is: DO YOU KNOW IF CLEANING THE INKY TAGS IN THE WASHER TRANSFERS INK TO OTHER TOWELS OR RAGS? Thanks Simon. Have a cooler day.
There's a product in the laundry aisle called Shout Color Catchers. They're amazing for grabbing any stray color/dye and keeping it from transferring to other things in the wash. I toss one in the wash any time I'm concerned about color transfer, including inky cloths. They're fantastic!
I use it on my stamps and haven't had any issues. You could cleanse it with a bit of water to get rid of any cleaner residue if you are concerned about any stamp cleaners. :)
Great presentation Simon! the archive cleaner is good but very unhappy about the felt pad falling off after very little use. It was impossible to replace, the product rendered useless so in to the trash it went. Anyone else have issues with that tip?
I have been wanting to get a permanent ink for stamping on fabric etc but was so afraid of staining my stamps that I didn't. Then recently I got the impression that Ranger's Archival stamp pads weren't as bad as Stazon so had planned to invest in those. But you've sufficiently scared me back into the camp of play it safe and stick to dye based ink pads. I thought the archival cleaner would get the ink off as long as you don't let it sit. What's the point in buying clear stamps and acrylic blocks if both are going to end up as black as soot??? Thoroughly confused and discouraged now :(
Does the archival ink cleaner work for StazOn ink on photopolymer as well? There is a specaial cleaner for StazOn, I know. But this is only for rubber stamps and damages clear stamps.
Thanks you for the video I clean my stampt with a baby wipe .I dry IT with a rag.But my rag is not so filthy as tours.Buy a new one please.I also use her arts stamp cleaner works fine but not so.good for the lounge IT snelle really strong chemicals
hello guy how are you I really like like you video very much I have seen your video today on thursday I make my youtube account so I also love D.I.Y and art and crafts so can you help me plz give me your reply
Thanks, Simon! For a brand new cardmaker, it can be hard to find these essential bits of information. I really appreciate your straightforward videos!
Nothing makes me feel old like tuning into a video featuring a successful businessman that looks 16:years old. :)
Great tips! Can’t get the Brutus monroe in the UK but can get other bits. Lovely to see a young man crafting! My son loves crafting too and it’s great. ❤️
Yay! Glad to hear your son likes crafting with you. :)

Brilliant video, please can you add a link so I can purchase squeeky products, finding hard to find on websites
Many thanks 😊
Thank you Simon, I loved the tips.
Thanks for the useful info Simon. I like to use baby wipes or just alcohol to clean my stamps and equipment plus my inked up fingers.

Thank you! Sqeaky clean is new to me. I'll have to give it a try.

I use Ranger water based stamp cleaner, the rub it scrub it, and microfiber cloths.
Thank you for sharing how you clean your stamps and dies. Where can I find squeaky clean cleaners and scrub pad?
Thanks Simon, I am in Oz so I'm not sure if I can get those products, there will probably be something similar.
Does the archival ink cleaner smell? Thank you.
Hi luv the video 🙂 question: can you wash or rinse the rub it scrub it pad? 🙂

It is a sheet of the Misti grid paper that is laminated. Makes it super easy to clean off after. :)
Great info!

Hmm... I’m not sure. I would probably wash them separate since many inks react with water. :)

thanks for the tips will use
Very helpful. Is archival cleaner safe for photopolymer stamps?
I use it on my stamps and haven't had any issues. You could cleanse it with a bit of water to get rid of any cleaner residue if you are concerned about any stamp cleaners. :)
What is the Is towel you're using to wipe it off

Ty!
I been wanting to try Brutus Monroe, does it make the stamp dull and sticky? Hero arts makes the stamp dull and sticky.
Nope I haven’t noticed the Squeaky Clean making the stamps dull and sticky... :)
Thank you

They still stamp fine. I have stayzon cleaner and it works on wood stamps. I haven't seen the whole vid yet though!
Does the archival ink cleaner work for StazOn ink on photopolymer as well? There is a specaial cleaner for StazOn, I know. But this is only for rubber stamps and damages clear stamps.
I don’t have Staz On ink or cleaner so I am unsure, but this Archival cleaner is very strong. :)
@@simon.hurley Thank you, most important for me is not to ruin my photopolymer stamps :-)
How do,you clean the stamp cleaner
Thanks
I hadn’t seen that cleaner before.

Hey I miss your videos with Rina K
Hopefully we will make a video together again soon... the world is a bit crazy right now.
laissez le tampon en contact avec le produit un quart d heure
great video, but can't handle the filthy cloth! yikes- I have lots of designated craft rags and I just throw them in the wash.
Sorry!! I use it a ton and prefer it to wasting a bunch of paper towels... I agree this one definitely needs to be replaced.
