Wow! Just received this message from BIRD KINGDOM on IG DMs: Hey Mikey! I saw your video on UA-cam ! Just wanted to say thank you for the kind words ! There were a few things I just wanted to address:) as for the spurred tortoise Sheldon, right before your video he was taken off display as we are building him a much larger enclosure in our main aviary. Which is why his sign was still up! Sorry about the confusion. As for the lorikeet landing you’re absolutely right about the plants ! We get that question a lot, as for the nectar that they eat it is actually not a wheat flower mixture. It is quite a bit more complex than that! And the macaws and cockatoos in the aviary are actually all free flighted ! As all the parrots in the building are, unfortunately Max, the hyacinth just doesn’t know how to fly. But we do teach them ! As you saw with Carrie, it’s never too late for them to learn. So, the plants are in-fact not safe we just have a great horticulturist! Thanks again for the kind words ! Hope you enjoyed your visit to the falls.
OMG, this was SO MUCH FUN!!! Mikey, you’re so freaking funny!!! Look there, look here, look up, look down, look near, look far… seems like that should be a song… LOL… I know you just can’t help yourself… and it’s so fun to watch! What a cool place this aviary. Such a cool reason to have a family reunion. Niagara Falls is really beautiful! I love seeing Joseph cook!! He’s so right, the secret to a great steak is letting it rest for as long as you cooked it. Basting is also a great secret but, super important to let it rest. BTW, I’ve never noticed before just how much Joseph looks like your Dad. Trick-or-Treat is not what it used to be, that’s for sure. It seems the Pandemic really changed this. It’s kind of a shame, I have some amazing memories of costumes and trick-or-treating… oh well, everything changes (and, eventually everything comes back around, LOL). I gotta say, RJ just cracks me up sometimes (never let this man go, he’s a true treasure!). ‘Ya know, I don’t think I’ve heard this part of your “Origin Story”. Thank you for sharing this! I love things like this. I remember the exact moment and everything happening around me when I made my biggest life choice (that still impacts me, even today). I love seeing your past dogs. Mission was such a gorgeous dog, and it looks like he and Pinoy were such close siblings, these stories never get old. ‘Ya know, I’ve wondered if you plan to get a Piano at the Farm House? Personally, I think a piano adds such a great touch to any home (I recommend a 6’ or 9’ Yamaha Grand, personally, I think they’re the absolute best). OK, off to Mexico! I’m excited. For all the years I’ve been watching these vlogs, you’ve talked about going there and, now it’s happening!!! Travel safe!!! I’ll see ya’ll next time!
Growing up in Buffalo, I had the same attitude about Niagara Falls, it was no big deal. It was when I took visitors from areas that I really grew to appreciate the falls. I never did touristy things like The Maid of the Mist unless I was with people from out of town. It is truly a wonder and it's fun to be with people seeing it for the first time.
I live near Niagara Falls and it looks spectacular in the summer hot months for me. The Canada side have more fun things to do than the US side but the falls look better on the US side cause the falls are closer. You can tell what side you are on if you take the maiden Mist boat ride Red Canada and Blue US.
Wow thank you for this travel blog, very informative it’s like we are with you as you promise to take us to all your travels. Really enjoyed going with you in this Canada trip and bird museum, falls tour. Thank you❤
Again, I'm so proud of you, Mikey, you've gone a long, long, long way since Canadian Idol but you're still reaching for the stars and living the life with the fruits of your labor. You continue to amaze me, I love love your vlogs. Even my kid 5yo dances to the funky music end credits hahaha, he's so cute!! Thankyou for inspiring us, positive vibes!!! God bless you all.
You are such a joy Mikey! Loving these vlogs from Canada, New York and soon to be Mexico. Love seeing the family. You are excited by everything. RJ is such a great partner and companion, always a little shy but he has such a great sense of humor. Can't wait to see you all in Mexico.
Agree with Mikey Bustos the Canada side of the Niagara Falls has a better view and bigger part of the falls so we always go cross the border and from NY and view it Canada side …😊
Canada is so beautiful, especially in the fall. ❤. Thank you for sharing all that you do. I’m home bound and disabled and your positive wonderful videos are so appreciated, I especially love your passion for responsible animal care and education. Much ❤and wish you all the best in the future.
Hi!Your channel is really a daily dose of positivity and good vibes . I enjoyed watching and never a dull episodes. I love, your emotional reactions whenever you’re commenting or whatever thoughts that comes in your mind. Mikey, you are “the greatest entertainer “in your own right! Love your humor and witty ideas. Keep it up, for it’s a good dose for our well being and mental health as well. Stay safe you and RJ on your road/air trips! Watching here in Jacksonville Florida 🇵🇭🇺🇸
Nice to see everyone had a great time at the falls and I’m sure also Halloween is dying out because when I was growing up the streets were packed so enjoy ur trip 🇨🇦
Hi Mikey and RJ,I like the aviary that you guys visited,I can't wait to see your aviary with new birds and new arrangements. Love that Edmark,Nica Maria and Raf enjoy the beauty of Niagara falls. You and RJ are the best in everything esp.in taking care and intertain your love ones.Im happy that dad Jerry join you in Mexico, can't wait to see your next vlog, escapade in Mexico.Godbless and ingat 🙏🌷🌻❤️
The kindest and very accommodating Mikey, you're really the nicest allowing people to take a photo with you. How cool to have a museum connected to the falls and with an aviary too! We get to see beautiful species of birds. 😍 Enjoy Mexico!
Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful creatures and beautiful falls amazing nature so awesome thank you so much for your hard work Mike you take care guys and be safe 🥰🥰🥰
This has been an awesome your to watch. Catching you now on your next leg! Love how old things became new during this visit to Canada. The leaves that we take for granted. Shoot it even snowed on Halloween here in the Midwest.
My kids and grandkids decided to forego the hassle of getting ready to go ToTing in the cold of night and simply went to WalMart the next day and got bags of 50% off candy that they actually liked. No hassle, no expensive costume, no cold, no sore feet, no unwanted candy. I told them they were stick-in-the-muds! lol
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. I get to go to places that I will never be a able to see and experience. The bird aviary was amazing, so many varieties that I never knew existed. Thank you for taking us all with you!
The small pink parrots are Bourke Parakeets. The wild form is darker, those birds you saw were a mutation known as Rosy Bourke's. They are from Australia and are related to Budgerigars, but a different species. They are very calm and quiet, but they do not talk. I raise them and recommend them as pets for someone who wants a small parrot but without the noise.
omg! It started from 700 views within 20 minutes of upload, I could see them grow in just few minutes. It is now 1, 700+ and counting. Congratulations Mikey! Always worth watching all your vlogs. Warmest greetings to all the Mabuhay squad family. Watching you from Toronto, Canada!❤
Haha I totally know that whole "ho hum/here's the tourist attraction I don't care about" and then later in life it gets more interesting. You should get a crowned pigeon! :)
34:09 omgggg they're cosplaying as Akatsuki from Naruto, so awesomeeeee, I also did that same costume as Rafa when I was in high school when we had a cosplay event
One of my joys in your vlogs, Mikey, is seeing you turn into a five-year-old with excitement (what you referred to as "nerding and geeking out") when you went into that aviary. And I'm *not* trying to insult you by comparing you to a little kid: I often watch live streams of scientific exploration deep sea ROV dives, and there's nothing like watching a room full of marine biologists turn into five year olds when, suddenly, a sperm whale swims by the ROV camera to investigate. You're in good company in this regard! You made, I think, the right decision not becoming a veterinarian. But you _would_ have made one fine zookeeper / naturalist / conservationist. You also remind me just a little of Gerald Durrell. (If you haven't read his books, like _Catch Me a Colobus_ or _My Family and Other Animals_ , try them. They're great fun.) Thank you for another great vlog.
Thanks Mikey that was so interesting I really enjoyed it all the places use went too. Lol the tiny chapel amazing you can go in. So true what ya brother said the steak to set 5 to 6mins the flavour is nice 😋. Halloween not a custom for our country but we still do trick a treat here. Same not much kid's door knocking too. Nice seeing more of you RJ, amazing stories Mikey. Safe travels to Mexico and again thank you. Take care till the next vlog 👍😊...
I LOVE watching your mubuhay farm vids don't get me wrong, but gosh I'm surprised at how much I missed your travel Vlogs too! Hello from your neighbor to the south in Minnesota! 🛬🧳🛫
Was waiting for you to be at Niagara on the lake and wineries, but then you have other priorities.looking forward to Mexico 🇲🇽 episode.enjoy life with your love ones.❤
The costume of Rafa and Maria I was told by the teenager son of our friend, is so 'in' in Tiktok. We were at a theme park last week and he asked the gentlemen wearing that costume to have a photo taken with them. We saw a lot of people dress up for halloween at the theme park. There were the French fries family, pizza family, Dalmatian family, a lot of Mario and Luigi and the most number of costume worn was the Chinese ghost. Their make-ups are so realistic and so good. I'm not used to celebrating halloween but we had fun at the theme park because we saw a lot of different and interesting costumes. We're planning to go again next year and maybe with a costume too. 😁 I only had experienced halloween in the US way back late 90's at a mall.
Wish i can meet you and RJ here in the Philippines to take pictures (because we're pilipinos).. Thank you very BIG for bringing good vibes every video.. god bless
Maybe the reason there are fewer kids in the neighbourhoods is because malls and shopping districts have been offering trick-or-treating these days. Parents like the safety of knowing the candy is not tampered with (the businesses give out the candy), it will be warm and dry, and they don't have to worry about the kids getting run over by cars in the dark. While I understand that, I think it's really too bad because it was about visiting your neighbours and having them enjoy the costumes, etc. I grew up visiting houses in my neighbourhood for Hallowe'en and loved it.
awesome episode! I think halloween isn't as vibrant as it used to be, especially after covid. but even then, I think the kids in the neighbourhood is just growing up
I have seen the falls from both sides way back before passports. I'd have to say the falls from the Canadian side look so much better. However, the scenery from the NY side of Toronto is even better.
hahaha RJ not used to passing out treats to trick or treaters ...the way he opens the door and just sticks his head out...then closes the door right away hahah
there is a golden phesent on display locally, boy can he hide! a ground sp. or two to clean up droped food is a smart idea. my first year of middle school, we had a canadian teacher and my group did a niagra falls project, i drew them. we learned a couple of canadian songs. there are some wayside chappels that are smaller one near sultan washington, there are a couple too small for windows, i think smallest is advertizing, unless certified buy guiness. there are less children in the west, we have stoped having them, many couples dont have/want them. there is also the risk involved in knocking strangers doors, there was always risk, but there is more fear involved in that now. in UK it is considered begging, which is actually a criminal offense, though no one gets procecuted for it, it seems to only be rich kids do it

Why did you not tell me you went to Niagara Falls, I am only 45 minutes away. Did you went to the Believe It Or Not Repley’s museum and the moving movie 🎭 theater. Canada Wonderland amusement park, it’s probably closed. Canada Safari is a cool place as well 🥰Enjoy
Mmm… maybe the reason theres no many kids, the neighborhood is becoming old already. I mean most residents living in the neighborhood are old already all the kids have grown up already and move to other places.
I want to trick or treat at your moms place, so much candy. Hey Mikey, don’t forget to take back some China Lily soy sauce from Canada. I can’t get it here in Vietnam, waaaaaa
Mikey, your Dad is correct. When I was still working night shift, every Halloween I will take the night off. But I noticed these past 10 years or so, only 2 or 3 kids will stop by..I got so tired waiting for 2-3 hours and nobody came. So I decided not to celebrate Halloween anymore..

Another beautiful place in Canada is Niagara on the lake, lots of rich folks playground to visit.

That aviary building was pretty Kool❤
So much to see, how beautiful.
Ayyy you're just an hour(ish) from me right now! I'm just west of Hamilton! Long time Mabuhay squad here! 😁👏🙏🙌
Kids nowadays are different, they rather play with their gadgets than to have fun outside like trick or treat
So cool . You brought Pinoy 🐶 the dog 🎉🎉🎉
awesome episode! I think halloween isn't as vibrant as it used to be, especially after covid. but even then, I think the kids in the neighbourhood is just growing up
Wow! Beautiful view 😎
I was so lucky when I visited Candian side falls we had double Rainbow it was early October
Enjoy Mexico and have the blogs up there we’re going on December.
I have seen the falls from both sides way back before passports. I'd have to say the falls from the Canadian side look so much better. However, the scenery from the NY side of Toronto is even better.
you made me roar with laughter when you said #opensashime #opensesame hahahahahahaha🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My guess was right! We went there too when we went to Toronto😊❤️😄
Mikey . Please come to Singapore for your next trip . Ours new bird park is very nice. I am sure you will like it
hahaha RJ not used to passing out treats to trick or treaters ...the way he opens the door and just sticks his head out...then closes the door right away hahah
Johhny Sttrides show all the Halloween displays and kids trick or treating on the West End.
there is a golden phesent on display locally, boy can he hide! a ground sp. or two to clean up droped food is a smart idea. my first year of middle school, we had a canadian teacher and my group did a niagra falls project, i drew them. we learned a couple of canadian songs. there are some wayside chappels that are smaller one near sultan washington, there are a couple too small for windows, i think smallest is advertizing, unless certified buy guiness. there are less children in the west, we have stoped having them, many couples dont have/want them. there is also the risk involved in knocking strangers doors, there was always risk, but there is more fear involved in that now. in UK it is considered begging, which is actually a criminal offense, though no one gets procecuted for it, it seems to only be rich kids do it

I think you are a vampire, Mikey. You don’t age!! 😘🇨🇦
Ouch. Missing Ligaya, too. 😞❤🦜
I see Speckled Pigeons from South Africa, I think that Nicobar's pigeons are from the Phillipines. Plus White Ringneck Doves. Victorian Crown pigeons. Plus There are Fancy Pheasants in that Aviary.
