    Yessss I couldn't agree with you more!!! So glad I found your channel, I love how you think and you are so talented and helpful! I've been making the slow transition you are talking about, and it's been the best desition ever. I even started to hate the items of clothing I've bought previously just because they were on trend. Fashion is about being unique! And the funny thing is, we think trends will make us cool and unique but we end up looking all the same. I'm the happiest I've ever been with my closet and I know it will continue to be happier. Everything is much easier when you know exactly what you have and you when you love every single item. On a side note, I'd love to hear your tips for skinny triangle shapes. Xx

    Спасибо за видео. Согласна с тобой на счёт трендов. Даша,а в Европе тоже распространена эта теория цветотипов? Ты подбираешь своим клиентам гардероб учитывая их цветотип?я заметила,что в Скандинавии много минимализма :черно-бело -серые вещи в скандинавских брендах или же неяркие припыленные цвета. Они замечательно подходят местным девушкам . А вот что делать нам,у кого внешность немного другая?))

    • @wonderwardrobe
      @wonderwardrobe  7 років тому +1

      В Европе теория цветотипов практикуется уже лет 30, особенно в Италии, Франции и Великобритании. А сама система пришла из Голливуда 50х годов прошлого века. Да, я подбираю гардеробы согласно цветотипу и принципу Гармонии, мне нужно сделать так, чтобы мои клиенты выглядели настолько красиво, насколько это возможно.

    I recently found your channel, so happy I did! Great advice on the mass market/fast fashion scene, the ethics part is huge to me but I truly believe we can learn a lot from this part of the fashion world. Unfortunately trends will never disappear because they also speak to the times and the world around us.
    I also recommend thrifting for those with low budgets, I once found a vintage Dior t-shirt while thrifting. It's kinda like treasure hunting, and you can really grow your own style.
    Really good video! New sub~

    Looking forward to the video on ethical fashion. Would like tips on how to start that transition. And I think were already moving into a world where trends are less dictating of what we wear - of course there are still trends but also it seems much more acceptable to wear whatever you like and the silhouettes that suit you - rather than in the 80's for example. Great video!!

    Beautiful video! I really appreciate all the ethical fashion discussion because I've never think about properly, in fact because of my size not really "easy to find" , I tend to buy whenever I can get clothes that fit me nicely , indipendently of the designer/brand. Moreover I am waiting your capsule wardrobe on budget because I'm so curious to know new brands.
    Thanks for this video! Really appreciated!

    In PR we tend to marry really young too, maybe I should've said romantic than sophisticated. I am 44 and I still have no clue what I should wear bc I don't feel 44 but I know I am not 30 anymore. I feel like there are certain items that definitely make me look older than my age. Do you have a video that covers this dilemma? 😊

    My problem with buying one expensive item is, what if I end up not liking it? With the tags are on, you do not know how the fabric will behave during your normal day (will it slip, stretch, rub...), whether the shoe will remain comfy even when you run for the bus, whether the cashmere is not too thin and will not start deteriorating... or, more like, you probably know it, I do not :) Because even the price or brand does not seem to reflect and guarantee quality. From this point of view, it is easier to buy a few items that are trendy, unwashable, not rotate them heavily and donate when done with them. It is a problem that needs to be dealt with.

    • @mimaesthetic2517
      @mimaesthetic2517 5 років тому

      Dominique 1. Shoe shopping at the end of the day when get have expanded a bit. Then wear around the house on clean floors... Maybe put a plastic bag around your feet lol. 2. Same thing with clothes. however, when mistakes are made I write them down, articulate exactly why did item was a terrible idea and my future purchases have less mistakes to them.

    • @Kelbel5995
      @Kelbel5995 5 років тому

      This is a great question--it just takes time and practice. It's true that price doesn't necessarily equate to quality (which is frustrating)! I second everything that @MimAesthetic said. Also, I'd add that it helps to read reviews online to see what others have said about the durability. And when you buy something from a new brand, buy something that you like but is relatively inexpensive (for the brand). If it deteriorates, you know that brand is not high quality and you can avoid it in the future.
      I think that switching to good quality is a process, and there are bound to be some mistakes along the way--but don't let that deter you!

    Даша, спасибо большое! С нетерпением буду ждать видео с капсульным гардеробом с вещами от молодых дизайнеров! Я полностью согласна с тем, что мы можем купить качественные вещи в винтажных магазинах при малом бюджете. Будучи в новой стране на отдыхе или в командировке, я всегда захожу в такие посмотреть что-то новое для себя. К тому же мы даём новую жизнь в своём гардеробе для этих вещей. С моей стороны я экономлю на футболках, потому, что ношу их один сезон и выбрасываю. Но никогда не экономлю на обуви, ремнях, часах, пальто.

      Hi! Yes, I know Uniqlo and I've been in their shop in Moscow. They have better reputation than Forever 21, but that unfortunately doesn't mean they are innocent. You can learn more about environmental and social problems that Uniqlo and other brands cause here: projectjust.com/brand_uniqlo/# And if you're ready to switch to ethical fashion, I've prepared a huge guide where you can find affordable brands that are so so so much better than any mass market. Hi Daria, I am new to your channel and already I have learned so much. I really enjoy the way you put pieces together & make it look cohesive. Just for fun I put together a wardrobe for my daughter (I had so much fun!), I wish it was as easy for me. But any way, I am from Puerto Rico and women tend to change their way of dressing after they get married, to more pulled together & sophisticated style. Is that the case in your country?

    • @wonderwardrobe
      @wonderwardrobe  7 років тому

      +Aracelis Torres No, I wouldn't say that. In Russia women get married very young, when they are 18-25 years, so they usually still dressed like teenagers :) Sophisticated style comes after the age of 35-40 or never

    Thank you so much for all your videos! I love your energy and I love what you do. You make people happier and environment healthier by giving smart ideas on how to use their time and money efficiently and reduce the green gas impact on our planet. 🌎 Let's stop buying at mass shops - their production is not sustainable and they treat workers poorly. 1000's of people dying every year because of safety issues of the places they work. The buildings are just collapsing because Zara doesn't want to pay enough money to sustain a safe environment for people. Let's go MINIMALISM and avoid sweatshops. Here is research I 've done after watching True Cost Movie, I hope Dasha might have more info on this...Thanks again for making the world a better and prettier place 😉

    Мы похожи отношением к масс-маркет-брендам, которые копируют дизайн известных модных домов. Тоже не люблю растиражированные вещи. И подделки тем более.
    Жаль, Вы не рассказали о том, есть ли в России достойные школы , где вводят в теорию цвета, стиль, рассказывают про цветотипы и пр. Видимо, это было бы рекламой:( Первое ваше видео с подобным вопросом я смотрела давно. Помню, говорили про Лондон и Милан. Я надеялась, ситуация в России изменилась. Но когда Вы ответили, что больше не живёте здесь, вопрос по-тихоньку отпал. Грустно!

    This talk sounds so economically privileged, I've seen plenty of poor/unwealthy people make use of cheaper brands and keep their goods preserved for many years. Have you been exposed to a cost cutting lifestyle before or grown up poor? a lot of those street style blogs celebrate people who live on an actual budget. Don't assume people don't care for ethical production and giving designers their credit, if designers actually cared about making their items accessible to everyone then they'd lower their prices but fast fashion brands like Zara and forever 21 don't impact designers to a high degree who get to keep their reputation. This is just how it is for people.

    • @wonderwardrobe
      @wonderwardrobe  7 років тому +5

      People's economic background has nothing to do with how they behave towards sustainability. I know both well off people and not so well off people that do their best to reduce pollution. It's about making conscious decisions on a daily basis. No matter how much money one makes, he or she can still use it to vote with it daily. As for you defending Zara's policies when it comes to young or established designers, here's an article from a young designer that got ripped off by them: www.theguardian.com/fashion/2016/jul/21/zara-accused-copying-artist-designs-fashion. I'm sure you'll find many more young talented designers that got ripped off by Zara if you simply google it. In the end it's up to you where your money goes. Just please make sure you are well informed before you do. If you'd like to support young designers, here's a list I've put together:
